The syntheses of three mixed ligand chelate copper（II） complexes of the type [Cu（L）（acac）（H2O）]BPh4 where acac=acetyleacetonate; L=N,N-dimethyl,N′-benzylethane-1,2-diamine （L1）, N,N-dimethyl, N′-2-methylbenzylethane-1,2-diamine （L2） or N,N-dimethyl,N′-2-chlorobenzylethane-1,2-diamine （L3） are reported and characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic and molar conductance measurements. The X-ray structure of complex 1 shows that the central copper atom is placed in a distorted square pyramidal geometry made by acac and diamine chelate in the base and a H2O molecule on the apex. The prepared complexes are fairly soluble in a large number of organic solvents and show positive solvatochromism. Calculations of SMLR （stepwise multiple linear regression） method was utilized to find the best model explaining the observed solvatochromic behavior and showed that among different solvent parameters, donor number （DN） is a dominant factor responsible for the shift in the d-d absorption band of the complexes to the lower wavenumber with increasing its values. The importance of substituent effect in diamine ligand on the spectral and SMLR measurements is also discussed.

A considerable proportion of Iran＇s territory is covered with arid and semi-arid rangelands and mismanagement and overexploitation of those rangelands have resulted in serious ecological degradation. Thus, the need is pressing to examine the present species composition and the relationships with environmental factors for providing the needed scientific references to species conservation and ecological rehabilitation efforts. The aims of this study were to examine the species composition and to delineate the most important factors influencing the distributions of plant species and groups in the northern rangelands of Isfahan Province （Iran） using two-way indicator species analysis （TWINSPAN）, detrended correspondence analysis （DCA）, principal component analysis （PCA）, and canonical correspondence analysis （CCA）. Field investigations were conducted in the growing season of 2014 using stratified random method in 22 homogeneous sampling units. In total, 75 plant species belonging to 52 genera and 19 families were identified. The most important families were Asteraceae and Papilionaceae, the most important genera were Astragalus, Cousinia, and Acanthophyllum, and the most important species were Artemisia aucheri and Artemisia sieberi. Plant species were classified into 10 groups using TWINSPAN. DCA was used to estimate the magnitude of changes in species composition along the first two ordination axes to provide gradient length estimations for PCA and CCA ordinations. The first three PCA axes and the first three CCA axes demonstrated similar cumulative percentage of variance, indicating that the environmental factors （selected by PCA） used in CCA ordination were acceptable for explaining the species composition and the distributions. Rockburst is defined as a phenomenon with immediate dynamic instability under excavation unloading conditions of deep or high geostress *** knowledge and lack of characterizing information prevent engineers and experts from achieving appropriate prediction results related to the rockburst *** this study,a data set including 220 rockburst instances was collected for rockburst classification via the geostatistical *** update of the 2D graph,the tunnel rockburst classification(TRC)chart,was introduced based on analysing three indicators,namely,elastic energy index(Wet),tangential stress in rock mass(σ_(0)),and uniaxial compressive strength(σ_(c)).Distribution and correlation of data were drawn on 2D plot,and the boundaries of rockburst were distinguished according to the achieved interpolate points by kriging ***,the validation phase was performed using an additional set of 28 case histories obtained from several projects around the *** results showed that the TRC chart with an average error percentage of 3.6%in the prediction of rockburst had a significant and effective implementation in comparison to the exiting heuristic *** the initial character of the prediction,the described chart may be a helpful tool in the first steps of design and construction.

A simultaneous experimental and numerical study on crack propagation in the pre-cracked beams specimens(concrete-like materials) is carried out using three-point bending flexural test. The crack propagation and coalescence paths of internal cracks in side beam specimens are experimentally studied by inserting double internal cracks. The effects of crack positions on the fracturing path in the bridge areas of the double cracked beam specimens are also studied. It has been observed that the breaking of concrete-like cracked beams specimens occurs mainly by the propagation of wing cracks emanating from the tips of the pre-existing cracks in the numerical and experimental analyses, respectively. The same specimens are numerically simulated by an indirect boundary element method(IBEM) known as displacement discontinuity method(DDM) using higher displacement discontinuity. These numerical results are compared with the existing experimental results. This comparison illustrates the higher accuracy of the results obtained by the indirect boundary element method by using only a small number of elements compared with the discrete element method(PFC2D code).

Juniperus excelsa ***,(Persian juniper),is found in northeast *** this study,the relationship between ground cover and vegetation indices have been investigated using remote sensing data for a Persian juniper *** data were analyzed based on the Advanced Visible and Near Infrared Radiometer type 2 and panchromatic data obtained by the Panchromatic Remote-sensing Instrument for Stereo Mapping sensors,both on board the advanced land observing satellite(ALOS).The ground cover was calculated using field survey data from 25 sub-sample plots and the vegetation indices were derived with 595 maximum filtering algorithm from ALOS data.R2 values were calculated for the normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and various soil-adjusted vegetation indices(SAVI)with soilbrightness-dependent correction factors equal to 1 and 0.5,a modified SAVI(MSAVI)and an optimized SAVI(OSAVI).R2 values for the NDVI,MSAVI,OSAVI,SAVI(1),and SAVI(0.5)were 0.566,0.545,0.619,0.603,and 0.607,*** ratio vegetation index for arid and semi-arid regions based on spectral wavelengths of ALOS data with an R2 value 0.633 was *** of the current study will be useful for forest inventories in arid and semi-arid regions in addition to assisting decisionmaking for natural resource managers.

This paper proposes a sliding mode controller based on robust model reference adaptive proportional-integral(RMRA-PI)control for a stand-alone voltage source inverter(SA-VSI).The proposed controller has two control loops where the coefficients of PI controller are regulated by the adaptive sliding *** method is used to regulate the output voltage of the inverter under different load conditions and uncertainty,and adapts the output to the reference model to reduce the total harmonic distortion(THD).In this paper,the stability of the proposed controller is proven by using Lyapunov's theory and Barbalet’s *** proposed controller performs well in voltage regulation such as low THD under sudden load change and ***,the results of the proposed controller are compared with PI controller to show the effectiveness of the presented control system.

In this study,the influences of spatially varying stochastic properties on free vibration analysis of composite plates were investigated via development of a new approach named the deterministic-stochastic Galerkin-based semi-analytical *** material properties including tensile modulus,shear modulus,and density of the plate were assumed to be spatially varying and *** fields with first-order Markov kernels were utilized to define the aforementioned material *** stochastic fields were decomposed via application of the K arhunen-Loeve theorem.A first-order shear deformation theory was assumed,following which the displacement field was defined using admissible trigonometric modes to derive the potential and kinetic *** stochastic equations of motion of the plate were obtained using the variational *** deterministic-stochastic Galerkin-based method was utilized to find the probability space of natural frequencies,and the corresponding mode shapes of the plate were determined using a polynomial chaos *** proposed method significantly reduced the size of the mathematical models of the structure,which is very useful for enhancing the computational efficiency of stochastic *** methodology was verifed using a stochastic finite element method and the available results in *** sensitivity of natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes due to the uncertainty of material properties was investigated,and the results indicated that the higher-order modes are more sensitive to uncertainty propagation in spatially varying properties.

Detection of multiple outliers or subset of influential points has been rarely considered in the linear measurement error models. In this paper a new influence statistic for one or a set of observations is generalized and characterized based on the corrected likelihood in the linear measurement error models. This influence statistic can be expressed in terms of the residuals and the leverages of linear measurement error regression. Unlike Cook＇s statistic, this new measure of influence has asymptotically normal distribution and is able to detect a subset of high leverage outliers which is not identified by Cook＇s statistic. As an illustrative example, simulation studies and a real data set are analysed.

Joint roughness is one of the most important issues in the hydromechanical behavior of rock ***,the joint roughness coefficient(JRC)estimation is of paramount importance in geomechanics engineering *** show that the application of statistical parameters alone may not produce a sufficiently reliable estimation of the JRC ***,alternative data-driven methods are proposed to assess the JRC *** this study,Gaussian process(GP),K-star,random forest(RF),and extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)models are employed,and their performance and accuracy are compared with those of benchmark regression formula(i.e.Z2,Rp,and SDi)for the JRC *** analyze the models’performance,112 rock joint profile datasets having eight common statistical parameters(R_(ave),R_(max),SD_(h),iave,SD_(i),Z_(2),R_(p),and SF)and one output variable(JRC)are utilized,of which 89 and 23 datasets are used for training and validation of models,*** interpretability of the developed XGBoost model is presented in terms of feature importance ranking,partial dependence plots(PDPs),feature interaction,and local interpretable model-agnostic explanations(LIME)*** of results show that machine learning models demonstrate higher accuracy and precision for estimating JRC values compared with the benchmark empirical equations,indicating the generalization ability of the data-driven models in better estimation accuracy.
