Abstract Previous studies have suggested that cortical functional reorganization is associated with motor recovery after stroke and that normal afferent sensory information is very important in that process. In this study, we selected patients who had a stroke in or under the thalamus, with potentially impaired afferent sensory information and analyzed the differences between these patients and healthy controls at three levels： brain regions, the functional con- nectivity between brain areas, and the whole-brain func- tional network. Compared with healthy controls, regionalhomogeneities in the left middle temporal gyrus decreased and functional connectivity between the left middle tem- poral gyrus and the stroke area increased in the patients. However, there was no significant change in the whole- brain functional network. By focusing on stroke located in or under the thalamus, our study contributes to wider inquiries into understanding and treating stroke.

Graphene oxide(GO),a carbon nanomaterial that is widely used in the environment and other industries,may pose potential risks to ecosystems,especially the soil *** soils in Northeast China are frequently polluted with cadmium(Cd) ***,there is no study on the influence of GO on the Cd-contaminated soil microbial community and soil chemical *** this study,Cd(100 mg kg^(-1))-polluted soils were treated with different concentrations of GO(0,25,50,150,250,and 500 mg L^(-1),expressed as T1,T2,T3,T4,T5,and T6,respectively) for 40 *** treatment without Cd pollution and GO served as the control(CK).Then,we investigated the influence of the GO concentrations on the bacterial community and chemical properties of Cd-polluted Haplic Cambisols,the zonal soil in Northeast *** GO addition,the richness and diversity indexes of the bacterial community in Cd-contaminated Haplic Cambisols initially increased by 0.05-33.92% at 25 mg L^(-1),then decreased by0.07-2.37% at 50 mg L^(-1),and then increased by 0.01-24.37%within 500 mg L^(-1) *** species and abundance of bacteria varied with GO concentration,and GO significantly increased bacterial growth at 25 and 250 mg L^(-1).GO treatments influenced the bacterial community structure,and the order of similarity of the bacterial community structure was as follows:T4=T5> T1=T6> T2> T3> *** and Acidobacteria were the dominant bacteria,accounting for 36.0% and 26.2%,respectively,of soil *** GO treatments also significantly affected the metabolic function of bacteria and further influenced the diversity of the bacterial community structure by affecting several key soil chemical properties:soil pH,organic matter and available potassium,phosphorus,and *** results provide a theoretical basis for scientific and comprehensive evaluation of the environmental impacts of GO on the zonal forest soils of Northeast China.

The dynamic response of a multi-cabin protective structure subjected to impact load directly affects the protective performance of materials;thus,studying the dynamic response and communication law of wave effect of the load plays an important role in the prediction of protective *** this study,the protection experiments of box-structure under air-and/or water-medium are conducted,the dynamic response of the structure subjected to low-impact load is analyzed,and the corresponding numerical simulations are analyzed using the theory of finite element method(FEM).Combined with experimental and FEM simulations,the shock strain distribution,acceleration attenuation,and signal energy in defensive materials are *** on the results,the metal structure exhibits good absorption characteristics for shock *** the experimental data,we also show that the attenuation of shock wave in water medium should be significantly better than that in air medium,and the protective structure should be designed for a combination of water and air ***,the numerical simulation can provide a quantitative analysis process for dynamic analysis of defensive materials.

Four new sesquiterpene quinone meroterpenoids,dysideanones F—G(1—2)and dysiherbols D—E(3—4),were isolated from the marine sponge Dysidea avara collected from the South China *** new structures were elucidated by extensive analysis of spectroscopic data including HR-MS and 1D and 2D NMR spectra,and their absolute configurations were assigned by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and ECD ***-inflammatory evaluation showed that dysiherbols D—E(3—4)exhibited moderate inhibitory activity on TNF-α-induced NF-κB activation in human HEK-293T cells with IC_(50)values of 10.2 and 8.6μmol·L^(-1),respectively.

Objective To observe the effects of fenv＇,derate on calcium homeostasis in rat ovary. Methods Female SpragueDawley rats were orally given fenvalerate at dally doses of 0.00, 1.91, 9.55, and 31.80 mg/kg for four weeks. The ovary ultrastucture was observed by electron microscopy. Serum free calcium concentration was measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The activities of phosphorylase a in rat ovary were evaluated by the chromatometry. The total content of calmodulin in ovary was estimated by ELISA at each stage of estrous cycle. Radioimmunoassay （R/A） was used to evaluate the level of serum progesterone. Results Histopathologically, damages of ovarian corpus luteum cells were observed. An increase in serum fi＇ee calcium concentration was observed in rats treated with 31.80mg/kg fenvalerate. The activities of phosphorylase a enhanced in all treated groups, and fenvalerate increased the total content of calmodulin significantly in estrus period. Serum progesterone levels declined in fenvalerate exposed rats in diestrus. Conclusion Fenvalerate interferes with calcium homeostasis in rat ovary. Also, the inhibitory effects of fenvalerate on serum progesterone levels may be mediated partly through calcium signals.

Large-Sample Theory for Generalized Linear Models with Non-natural Link and Random Variates

Lily mottle virus (LMoV) is the type species of the genus Potyvirus and its single-stranded, plus-sense In this study, it was investigated and studied whether these proteins might have RNA silencing-suppression activities by agro- infiltration with recombinant vectors of Potato virus X. The phenotype observation of green fluorescent protein (gfp) expression and Northern Blot showed that the gene silencing of gfp transgenic Nicotiana benthamiana 16C induced by homologous sequence was strongly suppressed by the immixture infiltration of HC pro, but weekly suppressed by the immixture infiltration of 6k2. In the plants infiltration, the gfp mRNA accumulation of HC pro was very higher than that in the non-suppressed controls, but 6k2 was little higher than that in the non-suppressed controls. The siRNA accumulation of HC pro was very lower than that in the non-suppressed controls, but 6k2 was little lower than that in the non-suppressed controls. These results suggested that HC pro and 6k2 genes of LMoV were potentially encoded for proteins as RNA silencing suppressors and the suppressing ability of 6k2 is much weaker than HC pro. The local and system suppression ability of LMoV HC pro were compared with the two representative HC pro of SCMV and TEV belonging to Potyvirus and infecting respectively monocotyledon and dicotyledon by agro- in-filtration with recombinant vectors of pBin219 on Nicotiana benthamiana WT and Nicotiana benthamiana 16C, Northern Blot and Western Blot assays. The agro- infiltration experiments result showed that the LMoV HC pro and SCMV HC pro had the similar local and system suppressing activity on Nicotiana benthamiana WT and 16C respectively. TEV HC pro showed the strongest local suppression ability and the weakest system suppression ability among the HC pro of the three viruses on Nicotiana benthamiana WT and *** gfp mRNA accumulation and gfp protein accumulation were consistent with the phenotype.
