Capturing the fungal community associated with conventional and organic Trebbiano Abruzzese grapes and its influence on wine characteristics

In this study,the influence of conventional and organic managements on Vitis vinifera *** Abruzzese on fungal community was ***,spontaneous vinifications were performed,and wines were characterized for some oenological parameters and aroma profiles.A core of 8 genera was detected(Zygosaccharomyces spp.,Cladosporium spp.,Botrytis spp.,Hanseniaspora spp.,Pichia spp.,Alternaria spp.,Candida spp.,Aureobasidium spp.),while some genera were unique for each grape *** *** Mucor *** present only on conventional grapes,while Penicillium *** Aspergillus *** on organic *** the species level Aureobasidium pullulans,Cladosporium cladosporioides and Pichia terricola dominated in both samples with varying abundance depending on the vineyard *** fermentation performed with conventional grapes resulted in a faster rate than that performed with organic *** significative differences were observed for the oenological parameters analyzed with the only exception of ethanol content which was higher in conventional wines than in organic ones:11.57±0.10 g/L and 10.51±0.09 g/L,*** wines were characterized by the presence of aldehydes,while organic ones by terpenes and β-*** obtained results suggested an effect of vineyard practices on grape fungal community which could in turn influence some characteristics of Trebbiano d’Abruzzo wines.

Given a Segre squarefree Veronese configuration, following Bernd Sturmfels, we improve the study of the graphs associated to the configuration. We determine two special families of toric ideals and a finite set of moves for each of them, which still guarantee simultaneously the connection of all graphs arising from each family of moves.

Assessment of lead pollution in topsoils of a southern Italy area: Analysis of urban and peri-urban environment

Exposure to lead（Pb） may affect adversely human health. Mapping soil Pb contents is essential to obtain a quantitative estimate of potential risk of Pb contamination. The main aim of this paper was to determine the soil Pb concentrations in the urban and peri-urban area of Cosenza-Rende to map their spatial distribution and assess the probability that soil Pb concentration exceeds a critical threshold that might cause concern for human *** were collected at 149 locations from residual and non-residual topsoil in gardens,parks, flower-beds, and agricultural fields. Fine earth fraction of soil samples was analyzed by X-ray Fluorescence spectrometry. Stochastic images generated by the sequential Gaussian simulation were jointly combined to calculate the probability of exceeding the critical threshold that could be used to delineate the potentially risky areas. Results showed areas in which Pb concentration values were higher to the Italian regulatory values. These polluted areas were quite large and likely, they could create a significant health risk for human beings and vegetation in the near future. The results demonstrated that the proposed approach can be used to study soil contamination to produce geochemical maps,and identify hot-spot areas for soil Pb concentration.

The role of exosomes in peripheral nerve regeneration

Peripheral nerve injuries remain problematic to treat, with poor functional recovery commonly observed. Injuries resulting in a nerve gap create specific difficulties for axonal regeneration. Approaches to address these difficulties include autologous nerve grafts （which are currently the gold standard treatment） and synthetic conduits, with the latter option being able to be im- pregnated with Schwann cells or stem cells which provide an appropriate micro-environment for neuronal regeneration to occur. Transplanting stem cells, however, infers additional risk of malignant transformation as well as manufacturing difficulties and ethical concerns, and the use of autologous nerve grafts and Schwann ceils requires the sacrifice of a functioning nerve. A new approach utilizing exosomes, secreted extracellular vesicles, could avoid these complications. In this review, we summarize the current literature on exosomes, and suggest how they could help to improve axonal regeneration following peripheral nerve injury.

We read the article by del Giorgio et *** the March 2023 issue of World Journal of Pediatrics with great inter-est[1].The authors evaluated the incidence of pediatric appendicitis at their institutions during the first year of the pandemic compared to a four-year control *** found an increased incidence of appendicitis but did not find differences between study groups for length of stay,age and sex distributions,and proportion of complicated appendicitis.

上世纪90年代,中国政府号召企业开展“走出去”战略。随着中国经济实力的发展和企业实力的增强,“走出去”逐渐成为一种常态。如今,在全球各地均可看见中国企业进军的步伐。意大利是一个传统的欧洲国家和传统的制造业国家,近年来受到越来越多中国企业的青睐。中国企业对意大利企业情有独钟还有一个原因是意大利是欧盟成员,在某种程度上,意大利被中国企业当作了进入欧洲市场的跳板。中国企业在意大利进行了几次著名的收购和兼并。近年,中国在意大利的并购呈现了投资领域的显著变化——由投资制造业开始转向文化娱乐等服务行业。本文首先对中国和意大利两国的对外并购活动进行了概括总结,重点分析了中国对意大利并购活动的特点和基本模式;然后以Qianjiang-Benelli两公司的收购作为案例,对中国企业在意大利实施并购进行了重点剖析。通过Qianjiang-Benelli的分析,可以看出两国企业并购的主要问题包括文化差异、政府管理体制、企业管理体制和收购后的融合等方面。本文通过对这次并购活动的研究指出,中国企业的对外并购存在很多问题:第一,中国企业中的国有企业的政府背景导致企业并购活动的透明度较低,不利于中外企业的相互理解;第二,中国企业的管理水平还有待提高;第三,中国企业对收购后的企业融合缺乏技巧。相应地,外国企业在应对中国企业并购方面也面临一些问题:第一,外国企业对中国企业存有戒备心,对中国企业的文化和政策缺乏了解;第二,外国企业对中国文化非常陌生,严重影响了两者之间的沟通;第三,很难套用传统的管理方式与中国企业合作。

Data narratives are an emerging form of communication that employs enhanced media for effective knowledge transfer of complex *** in the fields of data visualization and artificial intelligence have begun to pioneer new structures of communication to improve the efficiency of construction and the retention of information provided by the knowledge transfer *** this paper,we report the results of an empirical study conducted to compare the performance of various narrative communication techniques including frame based narrative visualization,documentary narrative visualization,computer generated text narratives and human generated text *** assess the knowledge transfer performance for each of these data driven narrative *** all conditions,an identical set of knowledge retention questions assessed participants’recall of details from their assigned narrative *** analysis on group performance answering the knowledge retention questions revealed that some narrative communication techniques perform better with general audiences.
