Photothermal material applied in environmental governance has attracted growing *** combining the Stober method and dopamine-triggered coating strategy,Co-Mn precursor was in situ incorporated into the poly dopamine(PDA)layer over the surface of silica ***,a unique photothermal nanosphere with SiO_(2)core and thin carbon layer and dual Co-Mn oxides shell was allowed to form by sequential heat treatment in the inert atmosphere(SiO_(2)@CoMn/C).The bimetallic fraction of Co/Mn in the carbon layer and post-treatment calcination temperature was comprehensively tuned to optimize the peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation performance of the *** state of bimetallic species was studied including their physical distribution,chemical valence,and interplay by various ***,Co oxides appear as dominant monodispersed nanoparticles(~10 nm),while Mn with cluster-like morphology is observed to uniformly distribute over thin-layer carbon and adhered to the surface of SiO_(2)nanospheres(~250 nm).The calcined temperature could tune the oxidized state of Co species,leading to the optimization of the catalytic performance of introduced dual metal *** a result,this obtained optimal catalyst integrated the advantages of exposed bimetallic CoMn species and N-doped thin carbon to deliver excellent catalytic PMS activation performance and photothermal synergetic catalytic mineralization ability for diversiform *** reactions condition controls and anion interference studies were conducted to identify the adaptability of the optimal ***,the application of solar-driven interfacial water evaporation using optimal SiO_(2)@Co_3Mn_1/C-600 catalyst was explored,showing a high water evaporation rate of 1.48 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1)and an efficiency of 95.2%,further revealing a comprehensive governance functionality of obtained material in the complex pollution condition.

Pine Island Glacier(PIG),the largest glacier in the Amundsen Sea Embayment of West Antarctica,has contributed to over a quarter of the observed sea level rise around *** recent years,multiple observations have confirmed its continuous retreat,ice flow acceleration and profound surface *** these changes is crucial for accurately monitoring ice mass discharge and future Antarctic contributions to sea level ***,it is essential to investigate the complex interactions between these variables to comprehend how they collectively affect the overall stability of the intricate PIG *** this study,we utilized high-resolution remote sensing data and deep learning method to detect and analyze the spatio-temporal variations of surface melt,ice shelf calving,and ice flow velocity of the PIG from 2015 to *** explored the correlations among these factors to understand their long-term impacts on the glacier's *** findings reveal a retreat of 26.3 km and a mass loss of 1001.6 km²during ***,extensive surface melting was observed,particularly in the 2016/2017 and 2019/2020 melting *** data vividly illustrate prolonged and intense melting periods,correlating with a significant retreat in the glacier's terminus position in 2019/***,the comprehensive analysis of surface melting and the cumulative retreat of the ice shelf from 2017 to 2020 on the PIG shows atemporal relationship with subsequent significant changes in ice fow velocity,ranging from 10.9 to 12.2 m d^(-1),with an average acceleration rate of 12%.These empirical findings elucidate the intricate relationship among surface melt,ice flow velocity,and consequential glacier dynamics.A profound understanding of these interrelationships holds paramount importance in glacier dynamic changes and modeling,providing invaluable insights into potential glacier responses to global climate change.

Carbon-based single-atom catalysts(SACs)have been widely studied in the field of biomedicine due to their excellent catalytic ***,carbon-based SACs usually aggregate during pyrolysis,which leads to the reduction of catalytic ***,we describe a method to improve the monodispersion of SACs using silicon dioxide as a protective *** decoration of silicon dioxide serves as a buffer layer for individual nanoparticles,which is not destroyed during the pyrolysis process,ensuring the single-particle dispersion of the nanoparticles after *** approach increased the hydroxyl groups on the surface of Fe-SAC(Fe-SAC-SE)and improved its water solubility,resulting in a four times enhancement of the peroxidase(POD)-like activity of Fe-SAC-SE(58.4 U/mg)than that of non-protected SACs(13.9 U/mg).The SiO_(2)-protection approach could also improve the catalytic activities of SACs with other metals such as Mn,Co,Ni,and Cu,indicating its generality for SACs *** advantage of the high POD-like activity,photothermal properties,and large specific surface area of Fe-SAC-SE,we constructed a synergistic therapeutic system(Fe-SAC-SE@DOX@PEG)for combining the photothermal therapy,catalytic therapy,and *** was verified that the photothermal properties of Fe-SAC-SE@DOX@PEG could effectively improve its POD-like activity,exhibiting excellent tumor-killing performance at the cellular *** work may provide a general approach to improve the performances of SACs for disease therapy and diagnosis.

Coherent phonons have aroused considerable attention in condensed matter physics owing to their extraordinary capacity of reflecting and controlling the physical properties of ***,the investigation on the interaction between coherent phonons and other microscopic particles on the ultrafast timescale within topological systems continues to be an active and unresolved ***,we show the energy transfer of coherent optical phonons(COP)in Dirac semimetal PtTe2 thin films using ultrafast optical pump-probe ***,the helicitydependent light-driven anisotropic COP signals disclose their direct connection with the light-excited anisotropic spinpolarized electrons via an angular momentum ***,we observe the notable decreases in the COP oscillation frequency and the decay rate with increasing temperatures due to the anharmonic phonon-phonon scattering and electron-phonon scattering in the COP dissipation process,*** work paves the way for uncovering the coherent phonons in Dirac semimetals for the potential applications in optoelectronics and optospintronics.

Motivated by the concept of matching Rota-Baxter algebras arising from polarized associative Yang-Baxter equations and Volterra integral equations,we introduce the notion of a matching Rota-Baxter system,which generalizes the Rota-Baxter system proposed by *** show that this notion is also related to Yang-Baxter pairs and to matching pre-Lie *** then modify the definition of matching Rota-Baxter systems by adding a curvature term,and make a connection with matching pre-Lie algebras and with compatible associative ***,we study matching Rota-Baxter systems on a dendriform algebra and show how they induce matching quadri-algebra ***,we give a linear basis of free matching Rota-Baxter system by Grobner-Shirshov bases methods.

The Negative Thermal Expansion Property of NdMnO_(3) Based on Pores Effect and Phase Transition

A novel negative thermal expansion(NTE) material NdMnO_(3) was synthesized by solid-state method at 1 523 K. The crystal structure, phase transition, pores effect and negative expansion properties of NdMnO_(3) were investigated by variable temperature X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM) and variable temperature Raman spectra. The compound exhibits NTE properties in the orderly O' phase crystal structure. When the temperature is from 293 to 759 K, the ceramic NdMnO_(3) shows negative thermal expansion of-4.7×10^(-6)/K. As temperature increases, the ceramic NdMnO_(3) presents NTE property range from 759 to 1 007 K. The average linear expansion coefficient is-18.88×10^(-6)/K. The physical mechanism of NTE is discussed and clarified through experiments.

Regional climate response to global warming in the source region of the Yellow River and its impact on runoff

The source region of the Yellow River has experienced obvious climate and discharge changes in recent decades due to global warming, which largely affects the water resources and ecological and environmental security in the Yellow River basin. This study analyzed the changes in runoff and several climate factors in the source region of the Yellow River based on the observed discharges at the Tangnag hydrological station, routine meteorological data from China Meteorological Administration(CMA) stations within and near this source region, and several evaporation datasets. The results indicate that the runoff in the source region was relatively abundant from 1960 to 1989 and then declined sharply afterward. It recovered slightly after 2005 but was still below normal—10% less than that during 1960–1989. Similarly, the precipitation amounts in the source region were relatively low in the 1990s, but they increased significantly after 2003, with an average increase of 31.4 mm or 6% more when compared to that in 1960–1989. In addition, the temperatures in the source region continued to rise from 1960 to 2017, and the evaporation levels also showed an upward trend after 1990. The influences of the spatial and temporal variations in climatic factors on runoff in the source region were then further analyzed. The results indicate that the decreases in precipitation and the number of days of heavy rainfall in the source region from 1990 to 2002 were important reasons for the lower runoff during this period. After 2003, the precipitation in the southeastern part of the source region, which is a key area for runoff generation,increased only to a limited extent, but the evaporation in the entire source region generally increased with increasing temperature,which might have led to the low capacity for actual runoff production in each subbasin and persistent low runoff in the source region. Agents with robust ultraviolet(UV)absorption capabilities play a vital role in safeguarding organisms and inorganic materials from UV ***,the synthetic procedures towards these UV absorbers are usually lengthy and complicated,accompanied by undesirable side reactions and the generation of toxic *** nature,allomelanin,a class of melanins variant found in melanized fungi near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant,plays crucial roles in the cell wall of melanized fungi,offering resistance to harsh external environments and promising UV resistance ***,allomelanin can be rapidly biosynthesized via the polymerization of 1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene in presence of enzymes in *** by this,we report here a green enzymatic polymerization strategy to efficiently and eco-friendly synthesize polydihydroxynaphthalene(PDHN)-based artificial allomelanin nanoparticles(NPs)with interesting *** calculations and experimental results demonstrated that the PDHN NPs exhibited excellent UVabsorption capacity,surpassing another widely used artificial melanin,polydopamine(PDA).Moreover,the light absorption mechanism of PDHN NPs was systematically elucidated for the first ***,the PDHN NPs were incorporated with polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)to create an anti-aging composite film with significantly enhanced UV shielding *** potential of these composite films in safeguarding plants from UV damage was meticulously ***,these PDHN NPs were first found to produce hydroxyl radicals(·OH)under UV irradiation,offering antibacterial properties that expand their potential applications.
