Besides providing.protection ag.inst mechanical damag. to the root tip, the root cap is involved in the perception and processing.of diverse external and internal stimuli resulting.in altered g.owth and development, The transduction of these stimuli includes hormonal sig.aling.pathways such as those of auxin, ethylene and cytokinin. Here, we show that the root cap is essential for the ethylene-induced reg.lation of elong.tion g.owth and root hair formation in maize. Exog.nously applied ethylene is no long.r able to inhibit elong.tion g.owth when the root cap has been surg.cally removed prior to hormone treatment. Reconstitution of the cap positively correlates with the developing.capacity of the roots to respond to ethylene ag.in. In contrast, the removal of the root cap does not per se affect g.owth inhibition controlled by auxin and cytokinin. Furthermore, our semi-quantitative RT-PCR results support earlier finding. that the maize root cap is a site of hig. g.ne expression activity with respect to sensing.and responding.to hormones such as ethylene, From these data, we propose a novel function of the root cap which is the establishment of competence to respond to ethylene in the distal zones of the root.

The main aim of this paper is determine the centrifug.l fan with forward curved blades aerodynamic characteristics based on numerical modeling. Three variants of g.ometry were investig.ted. The first, basic "A" variant contains 12 blades. The g.ometry of second "B" variant contains 12 blades and 12 semi-blades with optimal leng.h[1]. The third, control variant "C" contains 24 blades without semi-blades. Numerical calculations were performed by CFD Ansys. Another aim of this paper is to compare results of the numerical simulation with results of approximate numerical procedure. Applied approximate numerical procedure [2] is desig.ated to determine characteristics of the turbulent flow in the bladed space of a centrifug.l-flow fan impeller. This numerical method is an extension of the hydro-dynamical cascade theory for incompressible and inviscid fluid flow. Paper also partially compares results from the numerical simulation and results from the experimental investig.tion. Acoustic phenomena observed during.experiment, during.numerical simulation manifested as deterioration of the calculation stability, residuals oscillation and thus also as a flow field oscillation. Pressure pulsations are evaluated by using.frequency analysis for each variant and working.condition.

The reduction of g.aciers of Mulkhura River basin over the last century is revised in the paper. Mulkhura River basin is located on the southern slope of the central Caucasus from the Mount Bashili (4148 m) to the Mount g.stola (4860 m) and it is the main center of the contemporary g.aciations in the Eng.ri River basin. The percentag. reduction of areas of compound valley g.aciers with the relation of air temperature and atmospheric precipitation is g.ven in this paper. Also the paper considered the dynamics of the Tviberi and Tsanerig.aciers, which were the g.org.a’s larg.st g.aciers at the end of the 19th century. We used the catalog.of the g.aciers of the southern slope of the Caucasus compiled in 1911 by a well-known researcher of the Caucasus K. Podozerskiy, which was drawn up on the basis of the 19th century maps. In order to identify the area and number of the g.aciers of the 60s of the 20th century, we used the work of R. g.bejishvili—the g.org.an g.aciolog.st of the 20th-21st centuries, composed on the basis of 1:50,000 scale topog.aphic maps of 1960. The data of 2014 have been obtained by the Landsat aerial imag.s of L8 OLI/TIRS (Operational Land Imag.r and Thermal Infrared Sensor) taken in Aug.st 2014. In the mentioned study, except of the old topog.aphic maps and aerial imag.s, we used the climate information especially air temperature and precipitation data of the Mestia weather station.

The article considers the variability of Nenskra and Nakra River basins g.aciers’ parameters in the years of 1911-2014. Nenskra and Nakra River basins are located on the southern slope of the g.eat Caucasus, between the Kharikhra, Shdavleri and Tsalg.ili rang.s, in g.org.a, in particular in the Eng.ri River basin. In our research we used the catalog.e of the g.aciers of g.org.a compiled by K. Podozerskiy in 1911. We also used the military topog.aphic maps with the scale of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 drawn up in 1960 (in former Soviet Union), where there are the g.aciers mapped in detail and the ends of their ice tong.es on the southern slope of g.eat Caucasus of those times. We also used the remote sensing.method, which is the best modern way for the study of the dynamics of g.aciers and this method is remarkable by a quick obtaining.of results. The spectral imag.s of the Landsat L8 OLI/TIRS (Operational Land Imag.r and Thermal Infrared Sensor) (USg.) received from the “Landsat” artificial satellite are the necessary materials for our study. We also used the field survey materials of 2014 (g.S data). The latest statistical information is also g.ven about the g.aciers located in the individual river basins;their morpholog.cal types, exposition and the dynamics are considered according.to the individual years.

Hepatitis B virus(HBV)g.notypes have distinct g.netic and g.og.aphic diversity and may be associated with specific clinical characteristics,prog.ession,severity of disease and antiviral ***,we provide an updated overview of the endemicity of HBV g.notypes H and g.in *** g.notype H is predominant among.the Mexican population,but not in Central *** g.og.aphic distribution is related to a typical endemicity among.the Mexicans which is characterized by a low hepatitis B surface antig.n seroprevalence,apparently due to a rapid resolution of the infection,low viral loads and a hig. prevalence of occult B *** chronic infections,g.notype H is detected in mixtures with other HBV g.notypes and associated with other co-morbidities,such as obesity,alcoholism and co-infection with hepatitis C virus or human immunodeficiency *** carcinoma prevalence is ***,antiviral therapy may differ sig.ificantly from the standard g.idelines established *** hig. prevalence of HBV g.notype g.in the Americas,especially among.the Mexican population,raises new questions reg.rding.its g.og.aphic orig.n that will require further investig.tion.

Effect of fabrication conditions on microstructure and thermoelectric properties of the ***3 compound was studied. Starting.nanopowder with mean nanoparticle size of -37 nm was synthesized by a microwave-solvothermal method. In order to prepare samples with various micro-g.ained structures, the synthesized nanopowder was compacted by two methods. The first method is cold isostatic pressing.with further hig.- temperature annealing. while the second method is spark plasma sintering.at various temperatures of process （653 and 683 K）. It is found that mean g.ain size is equal to -290,-730 and -1160 nm for cold isostatically pressed and spark plasma sintered at 653 and 683 K samples, respectively. The micro-g.ained sample with maximum mean g.ain size shows the best thermoelectric properties. This sample is structurally inhomog.neous and has the lowest thermal conductivity and the specific electrical resistivity. Maximum dimensionless fig.re of merit for this sample is equal to -0.9 for temperature rang. of 450-500 K.
