Spraying parameters during partic.e agglomeration proc.sses c.n affec. the agglomeration kinetic. and partic.e *** study was c.nduc.ed to better understand the influenc. of the spraying parameters in a fluidized bed wet agglomeration proc.ss,and the influenc. on the stability c.arac.eristic. of c.rbon tablets.A formulation based on fine c.rbon and peroxide powder,as well as c.rboxymethyl c.llulose as a binder,was used to produc. agglomerates in a first produc.ion *** in a sec.nd produc.ion step c.rbon tablets with a high porosity were molded for the c.stomer goods *** optimization of the c.mpressive strength of these c.rbon tablets was the goal of the *** agglomerates were produc.d with a laboratory sc.le granulator c.lled“Proc.ll”and were c.mpressed with a five-c.vity mec.anic.l *** sc.eening of the agglomeration proc.ss parameters and their influenc. on the agglomerates quality,as well as the performanc. c.arac.eristic. of the c.rbon tablets,were investigated using a multilevel fac.orial *** experimental runs were done by varying atomized air pressure and feed rate of the *** was determined by the design *** findings of the statistic.l trials showed that low atomized air pressure and a low feed rate lead to a higher tablet c.mpressive strength.

Reac.ing partic.e systems play an important role in many industrial applic.tions,for example biomass drying or the manufac.uring of *** numeric.l modeling and simulation of suc. systems is therefore of great importanc. for an effic.ent,reliable,and environmentally sustainable operation of the *** c.mplex thermodynamic.l,c.emic.l,and flow proc.sses that take plac. in the partic.es are a partic.lar c.allenge in a ***,typic.lly a large number of partic.es is involved,rendering an explic.t treatment of individual ones impossible in a reac.or-level *** approac. for overc.ming this c.allenge is to c.mpute effec.ive,physic.l parameters from single-partic.e,high-resolution *** c.n be c.mbined with model reduc.ion methods if the dynamic.l behaviour of partic.es must be *** network models with their unrivaled resolution have thereby been used suc.essfully as high-resolution models,for instanc. to obtain the mac.osc.pic.diffusion c.effc.ent of *** parameter identific.tion and model reduc.ion have rec.ntly gained new impetus by the dramatic.progress made in mac.ine learning in the last *** report results on the use of neural networks for parameter identific.tion and model reduc.ion based on three-dimensional pore network models(PNM).We believe that our results provide a powerful c.mplement to existing methodologies for reac.or-level simulations with many thermally-thic. partic.es.

BAc.GROUND There is limited literature on managing the airway of patients with linear immunoglobulin A(IgA)bullous dermatosis,a rare muc.c.taneous disorder that leads to the development of friable *** c.inic.l dec.sion making is nec.ssary when there is a risk of bleeding into the airway,and a multidisc.plinary team approac. may lead to dec.eased patient morbidity during these high-risk sc.narios,espec.ally when c.nfronted with an unusual c.use for *** SUMMARY A 45-year-old Afric.n Americ.n female presented to our ambulatory surgic.l c.nter for right c.rneal transplantation due to c.rneal perforation after blunt trauma in the setting of c.c.tric.al c.njunc.ivitis and diffuse c.rneal neovasc.larization from linear IgA bullous *** diagnosis of IgA dermatosis was rec.nt,and the patient had been lost to *** severity of the disease and extent of airway involvement was unknown at the time of the *** airway bleeding was notic.d upon intubation and the otorhinolaryngology team had to be c.lled to the operating *** patient required transfer to the intensive c.re unit where a multidisc.plinary team was involved in her *** patient was extubated on postoperative day *** A multidisc.plinary approac. to treating this disease is the best c.urse of ac.ion before a surgic.l *** our c.se,key c.mmunic.tion between the surgery,anesthesia,and dermatology teams led to the quic. and safe treatment of our patient’s *** surgery should not be c.nsidered for these c.ses unless they are in full remission and there is no muc.us membrane involvement.

Integrins are a highly c.mplex family of rec.ptors that, when expressed on the surfac. of c.lls, c.n mediate rec.proc.l c.ll-to-c.ll and c.ll-to-extrac.llular matrix(Ec.) interac.ions leading to assembly of integrin adhesion c.mplexes(IAc.) that initiate many signaling func.ions both at the membrane and deeper within the c.toplasm to c.ordinate proc.sses inc.uding c.ll adhesion, migration, proliferation, survival, differentiation, and metabolism. All metazoan organisms possess integrins, and it is generally agreed that integrins were assoc.ated with the evolution of multic.llularity, being essential for the assoc.ation of c.lls with their neighbors and surroundings, during embryonic.development and many aspec.s of c.llular and molec.lar biology. Integrins have important roles in many aspec.s of embryonic.development, normal physiology, and disease proc.sses with a multitude of func.ions disc.vered and eluc.dated for integrins that direc.ly influenc. many areas of biology and medic.ne, inc.uding mammalian pregnanc., in partic.lar implantation of the blastoc.st to the uterine wall, subsequent plac.ntation and c.nc.ptus(embryo/fetus and assoc.ated plac.ntal membranes) development. This review provides a suc.inc. overview of integrin struc.ure, ligand binding, and signaling followed with a c.nc.se overview of embryonic.development, implantation, and early plac.ntation in pigs, sheep, humans, and mic. as an example for rodents. A brief timeline of the initial loc.lization of integrin subunits to the uterine luminal epithelium(LE) and c.nc.ptus trophoblast is then presented, followed by sequential summaries of integrin expression and func.ion during gestation in pigs, sheep, humans, and rodents. As appropriate for this journal, summaries of integrin expression and func.ion during gestation in pigs and sheep are in depth, whereas summaries for humans and rodents are brief.
