In geology, classification and lithological recognition of rocks plays an important role in the area of oil and gas exploration, mineral exploration and geological analysis. In other fields of activity such as construction and decoration, this classification makes sense and fully plays its role. However, this classification is slow, approximate and subjective. Automatic classification curbs this subjectivity and fills this gap by offering methods that reflect human perception. We propose a new approach to rock classification based on direct-view images of rocks. the aim is to take advantage of feature extraction methods to estimate a rock dictionary. In this work, we have developed a classification method obtained by concatenating four (4) K-SVD variants into a single signature. this method is based on the K-SVD algorithm combined with four (4) feature extraction techniques: DCt, Gabor filters, D-ALBPCSF and G-ALBPCSF, resulting in the four (4) variants named K-Gabor, K-DCt, KD-ALBPCSF and KD-ALBPCSF respectively. In this work, we developed a classification method obtained by concatenating four (4) variants of K-SVD. the performance of our method was evaluated on the basis of performance indicators such as accuracy with other 96% success rate.

Patients with long-standing inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)involving at least 1/3 of the colon are at increased risk for colorectal cancer(CRC).Advancements in CRC screening and surveillance and improved treatment of IBD has reduced CRC incidence in patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s *** cases of CRC are thought to arise from dysplasia,and recent evidence suggests that the majority of dysplastic lesions in patients with IBD are visible,in part thanks to advancements in high definition colonoscopy and *** practice guidelines have supported the use of chromoendoscopy with targeted biopsies of visible lesions rather than traditional random *** are encouraged to endoscopically resect visible dysplasia and only recommend surgery when a complete resection is not *** technologies such as virtual chromoendoscopy are emerging as potential tools in CRC *** with IBD at increased risk for developing CRC should undergo surveillance colonoscopy using new approaches and techniques.

An angiosperm phylogeny was reconstructed in a maximum likelihood analysis of sequences of four mitochondrial genes,atp1,matR,nad5,and rps3,from 380 species that represent 376 genera and 296 families of seed *** is largely congruent with the phylogeny of angiosperms reconstructed from chloroplast genes atpB,matK,and rbcL,and nuclear 18S *** basalmost lineage consists of Amborella and Nymphaeales(including Hydatellaceae).Austrobaileyales follow this clade and are sister to the mesangiosperms,which include Chloranthaceae,Ceratophyllum,magnoliids,monocots,and *** the exception of Chloranthaceae being sister to Ceratophyllum,relationships among these five lineages are not well *** eudicots,Ranunculales,Sabiales,Proteales,trochodendrales,Buxales,Gunnerales,Saxifragales,Vitales,Berberidopsidales,and Dilleniales form a basal grade of lines that diverged before the diversification of rosids and *** rosids,the COM(Celastrales-Oxalidales-Malpighiales) clade is sister to malvids(or rosid II),instead of to the nitrogen-fixing clade as found in all previous large-scale molecular analyses of *** and Caryophyllales are members of an expanded asterid *** study shows that the mitochondrial genes are informative markers for resolving relationships among genera,families,or higher rank taxa across *** low substitution rates and low homoplasy levels of the mitochondrial genes relative to the chloroplast genes,as found in this study,make them particularly useful for reconstructing ancient phylogenetic relationships.A mitochondrial gene-based angiosperm phylogeny provides an independent and essential reference for comparison with hypotheses of angiosperm phylogeny based on chloroplast genes,nuclear genes,and non-molecular data to reconstruct the underlying organismal phylogeny.

Lagoons are ecosystems for biodiversity and the livelihoods of coastal communities. the main objective of the study was to analyze the variability of arsenic concentrations in gastropods and bivalves in the Aby and tendo lagoons, taking into account spatial, seasonal and hydrological variations. the study was carried out in four stages spread over two successive hydroclimatic cycles, including two seasons during the rainy season and two more during the dry season. the samples were taken in two areas of the Aby and tendo lagoons. Arsenic levels were measured by ICP-MS. the results showed that mean arsenic concentrations in the muscles of organisms in Aby Lagoon ranged from 0.01 to 1.26 μg As/g, with a mean and median of 0.17 and 0.06 μg As/g, respectively. Fish had the highest levels of arsenic, followed by crustaceans, while molluscs and plants had lower and comparable concentrations of As. Arsenic concentrations in tilapia and jawbones varied significantly between sites and seasons, with higher concentrations at tendo and during the rainy season. Arsenic concentrations in gastropods and bivalves were significantly higher than those of other species, with averages of 0.74 and 1.03 mg As/kg, respectively.

Enhancing the dissolution of phenylbutazone using Syloid based mesoporous silicas for oral equine applications

three mesoporous silica excipients （Syloid~ silicas AL-1 FR XDP 3050 and XDP 3150） were formulated with a model drug known for its poor aqueous solubility, namely phenylbutazone, in an attempt to enhance the extent and rate of drug dissolution. Although other forms of mesoporous silica have been investigated in previous studies, the effect of inclusion with these specific Syloid silica based excipients and more interestingly, with phenylbutazone, is unknown. this work reports a significant enhancement for both the extent and rate of drug release for all three forms of Syloid silica at a 1：1 drug：silica ratio over a period of 30 min. An explanation for this increase was determined to be conversion to the amorphous form and an enhanced drug loading ability within the pores. Differences between the release profiles of the three silicas were concluded to be a consequence of the physicochemical differences between the three forms. Overall, this study confirms that Syloid silica based excipients can be used to enhance dissolution, and potentially therefore bioavailability, for compounds with poor aqueous solubility such as phenylbutazone. In addition, it has been confirmed that drug release can be carefully tailored based on the choice of Syloid~ silica and desired release profile.
