We investigated the quantitative relationship between macrophyte community structure and hydromorphology in 648 rivers in the United Kingdom （UK）.Geographical information,geological features,channel morphology,flow pattern and degree of habitat modification were included to characterize the hydromorphology at each *** analysis,partial least squares projection to latent structures （PLS）, revealed a positive correlation between floristic （abundance and species richness） and hydromorphological variables （p＜0.005）.Depth of channel,substrate type and flow habitat type played significant roles on shaping the community structure of *** communities varied between the gradient of two main types of sites: type 1 was characterised by small-sized mountain rivers with variable flow regime whereas type 2 was characterised by large-sized lowland rivers with deeper and wider channel,and higher and more stable flows Dominant species differ between unimpacted and impacted rivers （defined in term of habitat modification and eutrophication）.Seventeen macrophyte species were identified as indicators for different hydromorphological environments in *** these indicator species,submerged and emergent species were dominant over （＞40%） amphibious *** PLS model is sufficiently sensitive （cross validation:Q＞0.4,p＜0.05） to be used in the management of river macrophyte *** can predict the macrophyte communities from hydromorphological variables in rivers,and assess the ecological impacts into five classes based on the ordinal measure of *** impact of physical alteration on macrophyte communities can therefore be quantified from the *** implications of this work on monitoring river health are discussed.

We carry out an analysis of the canonical system of a minimal complex surface S of general type with irregularity q > *** this analysis,we are able to sharpen in the case q > 0 the well-known Castelnuovo inequality KS2≥3pg(S) + q(S)-*** we turn to the study of surfaces with pg=2q-3 and no fibration onto a curve of genus > *** prove that for q≥6 the canonical map is *** this result with the analysis of the canonical system,we also prove the inequality:KS2≥7χ(S) + *** improves an earlier result of Mendes Lopes and Pardini (2010).

Highly sensitive detection of mercury（Ⅱ） ions with few-layer molybdenum disulfide

Two-dimensional （2D） layered transition metal dichalcogenide （TMD） materials （e.g., MoS2） have attracted considerable interest due to their atomically thin geometry and semiconducting electronic properties. With ultrahigh surface to volume ratio, the electronic properties of these atomically thin semiconductors can be readily modulated by their environment. Here we report an investigation of the effects of mercury（II）（Hg^2＋） ions on the electrical transport properties of few-layer molybdenum disulfide （MoS2）. The interaction between Hg^2＋ ions and few-layer MoS2 was studied by field-effect transistor measurements and photoluminescence. Due to a high binding affinity between Hg2. ions and the sulfur sites on the surface of MoS2 layers, Hg^2＋ ions can strongly bind to MoS2. We show that the binding of Hg^2＋ can produce a p-type doping effect to reduce the electron concentration in n-type few-layer MoS2. It can thus effectively modulate the electron transport and photoluminescence properties in few-layer MoS2. By monitoring the conductance change of few-layer MoS2 in varying concentration Hg2~ solutions, we further show that few-layer MoS2 transistors can function as highly sensitive sensors for rapid electrical detection of Hg^2＋ ion with a detection limit of 30 pM.

Effect of different lens status on intraocular pressure elevation in patients treated with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor injections

AIM: To assess the effect of lens status on sustained intraocular pressure(IoP) elevation in patients treated intravitreally with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) agents. METHoDS: Data were retrospectively collected for all patients treated with intravitreal injections of anti-VEGF medication at a tertiary medical center in July 2015. Findings were analyzed by lens status during 6 months' follow-up. The main outcome measure was a sustained increase in IoP(≥21 mm Hg or change of ≥6 mm Hg from baseline on ≥2 consecutive visits, or addition of a new IoPlowering medication during follow-up). RESULTS: A total of 119 eyes of 100 patients met the study criteria: 40 phakic, 40 pseudophakic, and 39 pseudophakic after Nd:YAG capsulotomy. The rate of sustained IoP elevation was significantly higher in the postcapsulotomy group(23.1%) than in the phakic/pseudophakic groups(8.1%;P=0.032), with no statistically significant differences among the 3 groups in mean number of injections, either total(P=0.82) or by type of anti-VEGF mediation(bevacizumab: P=0.19;ranibizumab: P=0.13), or mean follow-up time(P=0.70). CoNCLUSIoN: Nd:YAG capsulotomy appears to be a risk factor for sustained IoP elevation in patients receiving intravitreal anti-VEGF injections. This finding has important implications given the growing use of anti-VEGF treatment and the irreversible effects of elevated IoP.

本文探究了留学经历对在华留学生对东道国认知的影响。近年来,来华学习的留学生日益增多,其对东道国的认知及影响这些认知的因素十分值得关注。基于对现有文献的研究,我们可知“认知”是一种内在的固有文化约束。因此,本文的研究范围仅限于匈牙利的在华留学生。为了了解他们对中国文化和政治价值观的看法,本文采取了问卷调查和半结构化访谈的方式。结果表明,在华留学生对中国的总体印象明显高于普通大众,在中国的留学经历对他们对中国的认知起到了积极的影响。本文认为,留学经历及在高等学府所受教育促使留学生对东道国——中国形成更加积极正面的看法。

Tailoring the partitioning of proteins using ionic liquids as adjuvants in polymer-polymer aqueous biphasic systems

Aqueous biphasic systems(ABS)are promising for proteins purification;however,when dealing with samples comprising several proteins,the selectivity towards a target protein is difficult to *** this work,the addition of ionic liquids(ILs)as adjuvants(5 wt%and 10 wt%)in ABS composed of polyethylene glycol(PEG)and dextran was investigated to tailor proteins partitioning between the coexisting *** liquid-liquid phase diagrams were determined at 298 K,followed by partition studies of three proteins(bovine serum albumin(BSA),immunoglobulin G(IgG),and cytochrome C(Cyt C)).Partition coefficients of IgG and BSA indicate the preference of both proteins to the dextran-rich phase,whereas Cyt C has no preferential partitioning between the *** addition of chloride-based ILs as adjuvants allows to increase or decrease the partition coefficients,thus tailoring the proteins partitioning between the *** partitioning essentially depends on the IL content in each phase,whereas Cyt C and IgG partitioning is ruled by the ILs chemical structure and established *** docking was carried out to address the ILs effect on the proteins partitioning,supporting experimental observations,while identifying the specific interactions *** partition of each protein in polymer-salt ABS with ILs as adjuvants was determined,demonstrating the higher tailoring ability of polymer-polymer ABS when adding ***,the partition of each protein in presence of the remaining ones was determined,as well as the selectivity of the studied systems to separate each pair of proteins,paving the way for their use in liquidliquid chromatography.

BACKGRoUND Liver resection and radiofrequency ablation are considered curative options for hepatocellular *** choice between these techniques is still controversial especially in cases of hepatocellular carcinoma affecting posterosuperior segments in elderly *** To compare post-operative outcomes between liver resection and radiofrequency ablation in elderly with single hepatocellular carcinoma located in posterosuperior *** A retrospective multicentric study was performed enrolling 77 patients age≥70-years-old with single hepatocellular carcinoma(≤30 mm),located in posterosuperior segments(4a,7,8).Patients were divided into liver resection and radiofrequency ablation groups and preoperative,peri-operative and long-term outcomes were retrospectively analyzed and compared using a 1:1 propensity score *** After propensity score matching,twenty-six patients were included in each *** time and overall postoperative complications were higher in the resection group compared to the ablation group(165 min vs 20 min,Pospital stay was significantly longer in the resection group than in the ablation group(7.5 d vs 3 d,Portality was comparable between the two *** were no significant differences between resection and ablation group in terms of overall survival and disease free survival at 1,3,and 5 *** Radiofrequency ablation in posterosuperior segments in elderly is safe and feasible and ensures a short hospital stay,better quality of life and does not modify the overall and disease-free survival.
