Along with the integrated and miniaturized development of advanced electronic devices,phase change materials(PCMs)simultaneously with efficient thermal management and high electromag-netic interference(EMI)shielding effectiveness(SE)are ungently ***,the shape-stabilized MXene/Ni-platted melamine sponge/Regenerated cellulose/Graphene nanoplate/Polyethylene glycol(MX/Ni@MS/RCG/PEG)composite PCMs comprising hierarchical Ni@MS/RCG and MXene film were fabricated via a facile encapsulation *** Ni@MS/RCG hybrid aerogel was prepared by electroless plating and sol-gel methods,and MXene film was obtained using vacuum-assisted filtra-tion *** synergistic effect of conductive Ni@MS/RCG networks and tight MXene film endows MX/Ni@MS/RCG/PEG composite PCMs with good shape stability,high cyclic reliability,large latent heat of phase change(154.3 J g^(–1)),excellent thermal conductivity(TC,0.47 W m^(–1)K^(–1))and favorable EMI shield-ing performance(32.7 dB).The TC of acceptable 0.47 W m^(–1)K^(–1)is observed for MX/Ni@MS/RCG-5/PEG at a rather low GNP content of merely 0.39 wt%.In addition,the temperature variation of MX/Ni@MS/RCG-5/PEG is a lot faster than that of pure PEG in the heating/cooling process,revealing the remarkable energy storage and release efficiency for the composite *** investigation has taken an important step to-wards shape-stabilized composite PCMs with both effective thermal management and high EMI SE for promising applications in electronic packaging and advanced energy.

Since electromagnetic pollution is detrimental to human health and the environment, numerous efforts have been successively made to achieve excellent electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness(EMI SE) via designing the hierarchical structures for electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding polymer composites. Among the plentiful structures, the asymmetric structures are currently a hot spot, principally categorizing into multi-layered, porous, fibrous, and segregated asymmetric structures, which endows the high EMI shielding performance for polymer composites incorporated with magnetic, conductive, and/or dielectric micro/nano-fillers, due to the “absorption-reflection-reabsorption” shielding mechanism. Therefore, this review provides the retrospection and summary of the efforts with respect to abundant asymmetric structures and multifunctional micro/nano-fillers for enhancing EMI shielding properties, which is conducive to the booming development of polymeric EMI shielding materials for the promising prospect in modern electronics and 5-generation(5G) technology.

Photocatalytic water oxidation is a crucial step in water splitting,but is generally restricted by the slow ***,it is necessary to develop high-performance water oxidation ***,the Fe-doped Bi2WO6 nanosheets with oxygen vacancies(OVs)were synthesized for enhanced photocatalytic water oxidation efficiency,showing a synergistic effect between Fe dopants and *** a molar fraction of 2%Fe was doped into the Bi2WO6 nanosheets,the visible-light-driven photocatalytic oxygen evolution rate was increased up to 131.3μmol·h^(-1)·g_(cat)^(-1)under ambient conditions,which was more than 3 times that of pure Bi2WO6 *** proper doping concentration of Fe could promote the formation of OVs and at the same time modulate the band structure of catalysts,especially the position of the valence band maximum(VBM),leading to effective visible-light absorption and enhanced oxidizing ability of photogenerated *** ameliorated localized electron distribution,fast charge transfer channel emerged between the OVs and adjacent metal atoms,which accelerated the charge carrier transfer and promoted the separation of photoexcited electrons and *** work provides feasible approaches for designing efficient two-dimensional semiconductor water oxidation photocatalysts that could utilize visible-light,which will make more use of solar energy.

Mechanism research on arsenic removal from arsenopyrite ore during a sintering process

The mechanism of arsenic removal during a sintering process was investigated through experiments with a sintering pot and arsenic-bearing iron ore containing arsenopyrite; the corresponding chemical properties of the sinter were determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The experimental results revealed that the reaction of arsenic removal is mainly related to the oxygen atmosphere and temperature. During the sintering process, arsenic could be removed in the ignition layer, the sinter layer, and the combustion zone. A portion of FeAsS reacted with excess oxygen to generate FeAsO4, and the rest of the FeAsS reacted with oxygen to generate As2O3(g) and SO2(g). A portion of As2O3(g) mixed with Al2O3or CaO, which resulted in the formation of arsenates such as AlAsO4and Ca3(AsO4)2, leading to arsenic residues in sintering products. The FeAsS component in the blending ore was difficult to decompose in the preliminary heating zone, the dry zone, or the bottom layer because of the relatively low temperatures; however, As2O3(g) that originated from the high-temperature zone could react with metal oxides, resulting in the formation of arsenate residues. © 2017, University of Science and Technology Beijing and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

The paper discussed the limitation of ’Dominant wavelengt h theory’. The theoretical model and nonhomogeneous differential equation of fold and deformation of a monolayer sandwiched-in limited and different thickn ess terranes are proposed by using mechanics of elasticity. In addition, the ′D ominant wavelength theory’ is proved by the experimental folding in elastic ma terials. The folds of a monolayer sandwiched-in limited and different thickness terranes are studied inside and are explored in the field.
