The aim of this study is to assess the possibility of increasing ethanol production by introducing the bagasse hydrolysis process into conventional *** were performed for mass and energy balances using Aspen Plus?*** was assumed that sugarcane trash and lignin cake—hydrolysis process residues—are available as supplementary *** cases were evaluated,including:(a)conventional ethanol distillery,(b)conventional plant combined with a hydrolysis process without heat integration,with different solid contents in the hydrolysis reactor,and(c)conventional plant combined with the hydrolysis process applying heat integration by pinch *** highest ethanol yield was achieved in the case of heat integration and concentration of cellulose hydrolysate by the membrane system with a solid content of 5%in the hydrolysis *** represents an increase of 22%over conventional distilleries currently found in the industry.

Scalable coordination of photovoltaic(PV)inverters,considering the uncertainty in PV and load in distribution networks(DNs),is challenging due to the lack of real-time *** PV inverter setpoints can be achieved to address this issue by capitalizing on the abundance of data from smart utility meters and the scalable architecture of artificial neural networks(ANNs).To this end,we first use an offline,centralized data-driven conservative convex approximation of chance-constrained optimal power flow(CVaR-OPF)in which conditional value-at-risk(CVaR)is used to compute reactive power setpoints of PV inverter,taking into account PV and load uncertainties in *** that,an artificial neural network(ANN)controller is trained for each PV inverter to emulate the optimal behavior of the centralized control setpoints of PV inverter in a decentralized ***,the voltage regulation performance of the developed ANN controllers is compared with other decentralized designs(local controllers)developed using model-based learning(regressionbased controller),optimization(affine feedback controller),and case-based learning(mapping)*** tests using real-world feeders corroborate the effectiveness of ANN controllers in voltage regulation and loss minimization.

The expression of cancer is similar to processes that in unicellular organisms grant convenient properties, such as immortality. The presence of oncogenes and proteins in viruses, protozoa and invertebrates is recognized. The study of these characters, at each biological level, represents the way to establish phylogenetic relationships. In unicellular and colonial organisms these characters provide the courage to face a threat. In humans they are inactive and return to express themselves only if there is potential chronic damage. Then they modulate other genes that will respond to the cellular aggressor, leading to unicellular immortality (cancer). It is relevant to evaluate the final or teleological origin of the cancer, which is not currently known. This review provides a theory that would explain why a normal cell becomes neoplastic. Molecular Phylogeny is the final teleological mechanism, whereby transformed cells recapitulate the expression of genes and their products, through molecular maneuvers that assist in responding to adverse factors, referred to as epidemiological levels as risk factors. Self-replication remains the first objective of life on earth. The teleological cause of cancer encompasses this phylogenetic mechanism of damage response. Therefore, I conclude that the final origin of cancer may be a biological adaptation mechanism, called molecular phylogeny. If this theory is verified, it could fill the gap that currently persists on the teleological origin of cancer.

Purpose: Persistent Postoperative Low Back Pain (PLBP) is inordinately common, and has been attributed to various pre-operative and post-operative anatomical and mechanical factors in the spine. It may or may not be associated with sensory symptoms in the lower extremities—frequently termed “radiculopathy”—with or without Electromyographic (EMG) or imaging abnormalities. The present study aimed to look at these various symptoms in the lower extremities from a different angle and perspective and to clarify the distinction between true radiculopathy and pseudoradiculopathy;and determine their possible relationship with the outcome of surgery. Methods: Medical records of twenty-four patients with PLBP who were referred to the author for clinical and electrodiagnostic examinations several months after surgery were reviewed. Torin 1 is an ATP-competitive TOR inhibitor which inhibits the signaling of TOR and S6K kinase in mammals and *** objective of this research is to determine the effect of Torin 1 in a relatively simple and homogeneous plant system such as the NT-1 tobacco suspension cell *** of NT-1 cells were tested with 5,50,150 and 250 nM of Torin *** kinetics growth of NT-1 tobacco suspension cell cultures,150 and 250 nM Torin 1 inhibits the early growth and later enhanced the cellular proliferation during exponential growth by means of an increased expression of E2F1 and cyclin ***,Torin 1 stimulates the growth of NT-1 cells during log phase with small shaped cell,characteristic of tobacco suspension cell cultures with high mitotic activity.

Sugarcane straw biochar:effects of pyrolysis temperature on barite dissolution and Ba availability under flooded conditions

Reductive dissolution of barium(Ba)sulfate in wetland soils may increase Ba bioavailability in the environment,yet no information is available regarding Ba remediation using *** study investigated the effectiveness of sugarcane(Saccharum officinarum)straw biochar pyrolyzed at 350℃(BC350),550℃(BC550),and 750℃(BC750)in inhibiting barite dissolution and,consequently,Ba availability in a soil artificially spiked with barite and flooded for 365 *** pyrolysis temperature alters the carbon structure,and increases dehydration and depolymerization,resulting in more stable biochar that releases less DOC(8.6-fold decrease from BC350 to BC750).Additionally,high-temperature biochar(BC750)had 1.7 times higher carbon(C)content,2.4 times higher ash content,and a 13.1 times greater specific surface area(SSA)than low-temperature biochar(BC350).Amending soil with BC750 increased pH but did not promote reducing conditions,and thus did not promote barite ***,greater DOC in low-temperature biochar,particularly BC350,favored reducing conditions and increased barite dissolution by 23%,with BC550 also showing an 18%*** enhancement led to a greater pool of Ba sorbed into more labile exchangeable *** summary,pyrolysis temperature affects biochar attributes,which in turn influences the soil geochemical environment and Ba ***-temperature biochar(BC350)shows potential as an amendment to increase the bioavailable Ba pool in assisted remediation programs,such as biochar-assisted phytoremediation.

Objective: Health care providers refer their patients to electromyography (EMG) laboratories for the evaluation of various sensory symptoms in the extremities and spine. The procedure is usually performed in conjunction with transcutaneous electrical stimulation of peripheral nerves and elicitation of the F-wave and H-reflex. The present study aimed to determine the real value of these procedures in the diagnosis of sensory symptoms in the setting of a normal neurologic examination. Method: The EMG reports and clinical histories of 100 patients, including 10 patients evaluated by other electromyographers, were reviewed. The study was focused on those with normal neurological examinations and those without histories of ongoing medical disorders and major surgeries to the extremities and spine. Results: All EMGs, F-wave, and H-reflex reports reviewed were normal, including those obtained from the second procedure performed in some patients and of those who subsequently underwent spinal surgery. Neurologic examination in all patients was normal. Conclusion: Needle EMG, F-wave and H-Reflex examinations are predictably normal in patients with non-dermatomal, non-neuropathic sensory symptoms with normal neurologic examination and without history of pre

美国职业技术教育（CTE）在中等和中等后这两个层次上一直不断演化。在新的立法和教育改革的驱动下．职业教育政策和实践不断更新．也诠释出CTE的演化进程。政策和实践必须建立在坚实的原则上．而这些原则叉来源于一整套特定的哲学价值体系。由于CTE已经发生了深刻变化，使得关于引发和证明这些变化的原则的讨论都显得空洞无意。本文回顾了关于教育哲学和原理演化历程的所有文献．这些哲学和原理一直以来都在指导着美国职业技术教育的政策制定和实践。而从历史上看．这些特定哲学价值体系和其衍生原则之间的相关性却从未被厘清．本文正是基于对以上文献、当前趋势和法规的分析，提出了一个新的哲学视野及一整套价值观念、衍生原则，以作为对美国职教事业发展的一份建言。
