Prospective study of transsphenoidal pituitary surgery： is tumor volume a predictor for the residual tumor？

Background The presence of residual tumor after surgery for pituitary adenoma may necessitate further treatment. The suprasellar and parasellar extension of the tumor have been widely considered as the predictors for residual tumor. However there is scarcity of studies regarding the preoperative tumor volume and residual tumor. This study was conducted to evaluate if tumor volume could predict the outcome of transsphenoidal pituitary surgery. Methods A prospective study was designed and 48 patients who underwent transsphenoidal pituitary surgery within 1 year in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi＇an Jiaotong University were included in this study. The preoperative tumor volume and immediate postoperative tumor volume （within 4-7 days） were calculated in the contrast magnetic resonance imaging by using the formula of ellipsoid. All these volumes were divided into three subgroups, i.e. group 1, group 2 and group 3 with preoperative volume of less than 4 cm3, 4-8 cm3, and more than 8 cm3 respectively. The parasellar and suprasellar extension of the tumor were also classified by Knosp and modified Hardy＇s classifications. Results Baseline characteristics were comparable. The preoperative tumor volume of more than 8 cm3 （group 3, （12.1±1.1） cm3） had increased risk on postoperative tumor residue （P 〈0.01） than the other two groups （（2.1±0.3） cm3 and （6.1±0.3） cm3 in groups 1 and 2）. The mean postoperative volume in group 3 patients （（2.2±0.1） cm3） was significantly higher than the other two groups （P 〈0.01）. Conclusion Preoperative volume of more than 8 cm3 can be considered as a predictor for postoperative residual volume.

Background Necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC)is the most common severe gastrointestinal emergency in *** designed this study to identify the pathogenic microorganisms of NEC in the microbiota of the small intestine of *** Using the 16S ribosomal DNA(rDNA)sequencing method,we compared and analyzed the structure and diversity of microbiotas in the intestinal feces of different groups of neonates:patients undergoing jejunostomy to treat NEC(NP group),neonates undergoing jejunostomy to treat other conditions(NN group),and neonates with NEC undergoing conservative treatment(NC group).We took intestinal feces and saliva samples from patients at different time *** The beta diversities of the NP,NN,and NC groups were all *** comparing the beta diversities between different time points in the NP group,we found similar beta diversities at time points El to E3 but significant differences between the E2-E3 and E4 time points:the abundances of Klebsiella and Enterococcus(Proteobacteria)were higher at the E1-E3 time points;the abundance of Escherichia-Shigella(Proteobacteria)increased at the E2 time point,and the abundance of Klebsiella decreased significantly,whereas that of Streptococcus increased significantly at the E4 time *** Our results suggest that the pathological changes of intestinal necrosis in the small intestine of infants with NEC are not directly caused by excessive proliferation of pathogenic bacteria in the small *** sources of microbiota in the small intestine of neonates,especially in premature infants,may be affected by multiple factors.

OsMas1,a novel maspardin protein gene,confers tolerance to salt and drought stresses by regulating ABA signaling in rice

The reaction dynamics of exotic nuclei near the drip line is one of the main research topics of current *** scattering is a useful probe for investigating the size and surface diffuseness of exotic *** development of rare isotope accelerators offers opportunities for such *** date,many relevant measurements have been performed at accelerators using the projectile fragmentation technique,while the measurements at accelerators using isotope separator on-line(ISOL)systems are still quite *** this work,we present the first proof-of-principle experiment with a post-accelerated ISOL beam at the Beijing Radioactive Ion Beam Facility(BRIF)by measuring the angular distribution of elastic scattering for the stable nucleus^(23)Na from the doubly magic nucleus^(40)Ca at energies above the Coulomb *** angular distribution measured by a silicon strip detector array in a scattering chamber using the ISOL beam at BRIF is in good agreement with that measured by the high-precision Q3 D magnetic spectrograph using the nonISOL beam at nearly the same *** work provides useful background for making BRIF a powerful tool for the investigation of the reaction dynamics of exotic nuclei.

为探究节理岩体在压剪复合作用下的断裂力学行为与破坏机制,采用完整及非贯通节理花岗岩开展了剪切试验,从宏观力学特性、声发射信号特征、颗粒流细观演化规律等多角度进行解析,并提出了一种利用声发射信号特征及其关键信息点预判花岗岩剪切破坏的方法。研究结果表明:节理破坏了岩石完整性,降低了岩石的剪切刚度和峰值剪切强度;此外,节理的存在会影响裂纹的扩展路径和破坏模式,且这种影响会随着法向应力的增加而削弱。法向应力和节理对声发射特征点影响显著,声发射信号的缓慢增长及b值的持续下降可作为岩石剪切破坏的前兆特征;利用声发射信号特征及其关键信息点可以有效预判花岗岩的剪切失稳破坏过程。该研究成果为节理岩体剪切破坏机制分析及其稳定性预测提供了一定参考。

拼接镜面技术是光学合成孔径望远镜的三种实现方式之一,是未来大口径望远镜的重要研究方向。由于拼接镜面主动控制系统直接影响拼接镜面等效大口径镜面的光学性能,本文着眼于地基大口径望远镜的拼接镜面主动控制技术,由地基拼接镜面望远镜的发展过程展开,阐述拼接镜面主动控制系统的主要结构,对国内外拼接镜面主动控制系统发展概况进行分析和总结。归纳了拼接镜面主动控制系统实现主动调整和主动保持的关键技术,明确了深度学习理论在闭环控制,共相检测与校正和系统级仿真建模技术中的逐步应用和未来发展方向,为国内下一代地基大口径望远镜拼接镜面的控制方案设计提供相应的指导。

内蒙古白绒山羊FGF5基因克隆及其靶向shRNA表达载体的构建和鉴定

旨在构建内蒙古白绒山羊成纤维细胞生长因子Ⅴ(Fibroblast growth factor 5,FGF5)基因shRNA真核表达载体(pRNAT-shRNA)。以内蒙古白绒山羊胎儿成纤维细胞总RNA为模板,PCR扩增FGF5基因。设计并合成3条FGF5基因的靶向shRNA序列,分别插入pRNAT-U6.1/Neo载体中,构建重组干扰质粒载体pRNATshRNA1、pRNAT-shRNA2和pRNAT-shRNA3,用脂质体LipofectamineTM2000将各重组干扰质粒转染内蒙古白绒山羊胎儿成纤维细胞,Real time PCR检测FGF5mRNA表达量。结果表明:克隆获得813bp的目的基因,包含了完整的ORF,编码270个氨基酸。核苷酸序列及推导的氨基酸序列与绵羊FGF5基因(NM_001246263.1)及氨基酸序列同源性均为99%。FGF5基因shRNA重组质粒经测序鉴定证明构建成功。重组表达质粒转染绒山羊胎儿成纤维细胞48h后可见绿色荧光表达;pRNAT-shRNA1组、pRNAT-shRNA2组和pRNAT-shRNA3组FGF5的mRNA表达水平均低于干扰空载体对照组(P<0.01),pRNAT-shRNA2对FGF5的表达具有最佳的抑制效应。综上表明,成功构建pRNAT-U6.1/Neo-FGF5表达载体,为探讨FGF5在毛囊生长中的作用奠定了基础。
