Numerical analysis of horizontal temperature distribution in large buildings by thermo-aeraulic zonal approach

The commercial and public services sectors including shopping centers,worship buildings,theatres,and other types,account for more than 20%of the electricity consumption in the *** building typologies are characterized by large spaces and high and temporary ***,the horizontal temperature distribution in these buildings becomes one of the important parameters on occupant's comfort and energy *** the present study,a thermo-aeraulic zonal model using TRNSYS and CONTAM simulation tools is developed to analyze the spatial temperature distribution in a large *** studies relating to mesh discretization of building volume are performed to optimize the computational time and *** computational simulation is carried out to analyze the impact of building height,internal loads,natural ventilation and climatic conditions on the spatial temperature distribution,building energy performance,and thermal *** developed simulation model in this study is effective to predict the horizontal temperature distribution with reasonable computation time compared to CFD *** results show that the internal heat gains lead to an increase in the horizontal temperature gradient which should not be negligible especially in the case of large *** the other side,natural night ventilation can reduce the peak tempearture in building by 3℃ for normal occupation building with limited internal ***,good spatial temperature distribution can decrease annual building energy needs about 32%.It can be helpful for architects and building developers to make an optimal choice regarding to building envelope and HVAC design.

Cellulose-based film has gained popularity as an alternative to synthetic polymers due to its outstanding *** all types of cellulose materials available,cellulose nanofiber(CNF)has great potential to be utilized in a diverse range of applications,including as a film *** this study,CNF biocomposite film was prepared by using polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)as a matrix and Uncaria gambir extract as a *** study aims to investigate the effect of Uncaria gambir extract on the optical properties and thermal stability of the produced *** formation of the CNF biocomposite films was confirmed using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy,their transmittance characteristics were measured using UV-Vis spectroscopy and a transmittance meter,while their reflectance was determined using a reflectance *** results revealed that the addition of Uncaria gambir extract to the CNF biocomposite film improved its UV-shielding properties,as indicated by the lower percentage of transmittance in the visible region,10%–70%.In addition,its reflectance increased to 10.6%compared to the CNF film without the addition of Uncaria gambir ***,the thermal stability of the CNF biocomposite film with the addition of Uncaria gambir extract improved to around 400℃–500℃.In conclusion,the results showed that CNF biocomposite film prepared by adding Uncaria gambir extract can be a promising candidate for optical and thermal management materials.

The chemical transformation of natural oils provides alternatives to limited fossil fuels and produces compounds with added value for the chemical *** selective deoxygenation of natural oils to diesel-ranged hydrocarbons,bio-jet fuels,or fatty alcohols with controllable selectivity is especially attractive in natural oil feedstock *** review presents recent progress in catalytic deoxygenation of natural oils or related model compounds(e.g.,fatty acids)to renewable liquid fuels(green diesel and bio-jet fuels)and valuable fatty alcohols(unsaturated and saturated fatty alcohols).Besides,it discusses and compares the existing and potential strategies to control the product selectivity over heterogeneous *** research conducted and reviewed has only addressed the production of one category;therefore,a new integrative vision exploring how to direct the process toward fuel and/or chemicals is urgently ***,work conducted to date addressing the development of new catalysts and studying the influence of the reaction parameters(e.g.,temperature,time and hydrogen pressure)is summarized and critically discussed from a green and sustainable perspective using efficiency indicators(e.g.,yields,selectivity,turnover frequencies and catalysts lifetime).Special attention has been given to the chemical transformations occurring to identify key descriptors to tune the selectivity toward target products by manipulating the reaction conditions and the structures of the ***,the challenges and future research goals to develop novel and holistic natural oil biorefineries are *** a result,this critical review provides the readership with appropriate information to selectively control the transformation of natural oils into either biofuels and/or value-added *** new flexible vision can help pave the wave to suit the present and future market needs.

Intracellular in situ labeling of Ti02 nanoparticles for fluorescence microscopy detection

Titanium dioxide （TiO2） nanoparticles are produced for many different purposes, including development of therapeutic and diagnostic nanoparticles for cancer detection and treatment, drug delivery, induction of DNA double-strand breaks, and imaging of specific cells and subcellular structures. Currently, the use of optical microscopy, an imaging technique most accessible to biology and medical patholog36 to detect TiO2 nanoparticles in cells and tissues ex vivo is limited with low detection limits, while more sensitive imaging methods （transmission electron microscopy, X-ray fluorescence microscop~ etc.） have low throughput and technical and operational complications. Herein, we describe two in situ post- treatment labeling approaches to stain TiO2 nanoparticles taken up by the cells. The first approach utilizes fluorescent biotin and fluorescent streptavidin to label the nanoparticles before and after cellular uptake; the second approach is based on the copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition, the so-called Click chemistry, for labeling and detection of azide-conjugated TiO2 nanoparticles with alkyne- conjugated fluorescent dyes such as Alexa Fluor 488. To confirm that optical fluorescence signals of these nanoparticles match the distribution of the Ti element, we used synchrotron X-ray fluorescence microscopy （XFM） at the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory. Titanium-specific XFM showed excellent overlap with the location of optical fluorescence detected by confocal microscopy. Therefore, future experiments with TiO2 nanoparticles may safely rely on confocal microscopy after in situ nanoparticle labeling using approaches described here.

This study investigated whether Raman and Near Infrared(NIR) spectroscopy could predict tablet properties. Granules were produced on a continuous line by varying granulation parameters. Tableting process parameters were adjusted to obtain uniform tablet weight and thickness. Spectra were collected offline and tablet properties determined with traditional analyzing methods. Partial Least Squares(PLS) regression was used to correlate spectral information to tablet properties, but predictive models couldn’t be established. Principal component analysis(PCA) was effectively used to distinguish theophylline concentrations and hydration levels and multiple linear regression(MLR) analysis allowed insight on how granulation parameters affect granule and tablet properties.

过去十年内，转移性非小细胞肺癌（metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer, m NSCLC）的治疗取得了关键性进展，大大提高了患者的生存率。尤其是一线/二线治疗策略中针对程序性死亡受体1(programmed cell death protein 1, PD-1)、程序性死亡配体1(programmed death ligand-1, PD-L1)和细胞毒性T淋巴细胞相关蛋白4受体（cytotoxic T-lymphocyteassociated protein 4, CTLA-4）等的特异性抗体惊艳亮相，使部分患者生存期明显延长。尽管抗PD-1和PD-L1疗法的免疫检查点抑制剂（immune checkpoint inhibitor, ICI）起初主要是作为二线治疗的单药治疗，但最近已转向作为晚期一线治疗的联合疗法，早期肺癌也已将免疫治疗纳入临床范式。如今，除了具有靶向基因突变的m NSCLC外，几乎所有的m NSCLC患者都在一线接受PD-1或PD-L1治疗。在此，我们报告了m NSCLC一线免疫治疗的现状以及当前为患者选择最佳免疫治疗方案所面临的挑战。

Dear Editor,Adrenocortical carcinomas and adrenal cysts,including pseudocysts,are uncommon tumors[1,2].No consistent approach to surgery for large adrenal tumors including cysts,has been established,and especially when malignancy is suspected,consideration is still given to the option of *** robot-assisted surgery,we successfully performed the resection of a giant adrenal pseudocyst and a giant adrenocortical carcinoma,as reported previously[3],underlining the advantages of robot-assisted surgery for large adrenal tumors.

In our previous work, we study fuzzy Itôintegrals driven by a fuzzy Brownian motion. In this article, we continue this study. The purpose of this paper is to study the weak uniqueness of fuzzy stochastic differential equations taking into account fuzzy Brownian motion. For instance, we construct the fuzzy stochastic differential equation driven by a fuzzy Brownian motion. To define and prove our results, we use the fuzzification, the alpha cut method and the Hausdorff distance between two fuzzy quantities. Some results are to our credit in this article like the instance, we construct the fuzzy stochastic differrential equation driven by fuzzy Brownian motion. Furthermore, we develop fuzzy Itôcalculus driven by a fuzzy Brownian motion. Our result complement existing ones in that the fuzzy version of Brownian motion is taken into account.
