An Efficient Method for Covid-19 Detection Using Light Weight Convolutional Neural Network

The COVID-19 pandemic is a significant milestone in the modern history of civilization with a catastrophic effect on global wellbeing and *** situation is very complex as the COVID-19 test kits are limited,therefore,more diagnostic methods must be developed urgently.A significant initial step towards the successful diagnosis of the COVID-19 is the chest X-ray or Computed Tomography(CT),where any chest anomalies(e.g.,lung inflammation)can be easily *** hospitals possess X-ray or CT imaging equipments that can be used for early detection of *** by this,various artificial intelligence(AI)techniques have been developed to identify COVID-19 positive patients using the chest X-ray or CT ***,the advance of these AI-based systems and their highly tailored results are strongly bonded to high-end GPUs,which is not widely available in several *** paper introduces a technique for early COVID-19 diagnosis based on medical experience and light-weight Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),which does not require a custom hardware to run compared to currently available CNN *** proposed deep learning model is built carefully and fine-tuned by removing all unnecessary parameters and layers to achieve the light-weight attribute that could run smoothly on a normal CPU(0.54%of AlexNet parameters).This model is highly beneficial for countries where high-end GPUs are *** outcomes on some new benchmark datasets shows the robustness of the proposed technique robustness in recognizing COVID-19 with 96%accuracy.

Skin cancer is one of themost severe diseases,andmedical imaging is among themain tools for cancer *** images provide information on the evolutionary stage,size,and location of tumor *** paper focuses on the classification of skin lesion images considering a framework of four experiments to analyze the classification performance of Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs)in distinguishing different skin *** CNNs are based on transfer learning,taking advantage of ImageNet ***,in each experiment,different workflow stages are tested,including data augmentation and fine-tuning *** CNN models based on DenseNet-201,Inception-ResNet-V2,and Inception-V3 are proposed and compared using the HAM10000 *** results obtained by the three models demonstrate accuracies of 98%,97%,and 96%,***,the best model is tested on the ISIC 2019 dataset showing an accuracy of 93%.The proposed methodology using CNN represents a helpful tool to accurately diagnose skin cancer disease.

Birds tend to adjust their behavior and physiology to changes in food availability in their ***al fluctuation of food resources may act as an energetic challenge,augmenting hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis(HPA axis)activity,leading to an increase in corticosterone concentrations and promoting the metabolism of energy *** invasions may alter seasonal food fluctuations by providing a food supply during scarce *** could attenuate the energetic challenge,reducing HPA axis activity and the metabolism of *** a system with seasonal fluctuation in food availability,we tested if fruit supplementation by the invasive fleshy-fruited Pyracantha angustifolia during the season of native fruit scarcity decreases the consumption of energy stores through activity attenuation of the HPA *** measured changes in body condition and circulating corticosterone(CORT)concentration in Turdus chiguanco occurring at sites both invaded and not invaded by *** over 3 time periods that correspond to the periods prior to,during and after highest fruit production of the *** scarcity in the ecosystem appears as an energetic challenge for ***co,given that body mass,fat score and residuals of body mass/tarsus length decreased during winter in a site not invaded by the exotic ***,the presence of the invasive plant seemed to attenuate the metabolism of energetic reserves,as we did not record changes in body condition in birds inhabiting the invaded ***,plasma CORT concentration did not vary between sites or *** evaluation is required to elucidate how enhanced body condition,resulting from the consumption of a fleshy-fruited invasive plant,affects survivorship and reproductive performance in ***.

Systematic study of the dependence of magnetic and structural properties of Nd2Fe14B powders on the average particle size

A systematic study of the magnetic and structural properties dependence on the particle size was *** this,commercial NdFeB powder was separated into five different mean particle sizes using ***,from the original powder,eleven samples were also produced by mechanical milling assisted by surfactant,using various milling times.A total of sixteen samples were studied by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),vibrating sample magnetometry(VSM),and Mdssbauer spectrometry(MS).The particle sizes of the samples vary from the micrometer to the nanometer *** crystallite size decreases with decreasing particle *** result indicates that the Nd2Fe14B phase is found in all the samples,and the presence of this phase is also corroborated by MS using six sextets for fitting their spectra,with an additional singlet corresponding to the Nd1.1Fe4B4 *** mean hyperfine magnetic field increases with increasing particle size because the magnetic dipolar interaction between the magnetic moment of the particles increases with particle *** the VSM measurements the magnetic energy density(BH)max values were calculated for different particle sizes,and their maximum value of 34.45 MGOe is obtained for the sample with the particle size of 60μm.

Effect of cobalt substitution on structure and magnetic properties of Nd0.4Zr0.6Fe10-xCoxSi2（x =0-3） alloys and their ribbons

This study reports the stabilization of the RFe12-type based compounds where part of R and Fe are substituted with Zr and Co and Si, respectively, in order to examine whether these rare-earth-lean materials are suitable for applications as permanent magnets. Structural and magnetic characterization of the family of alloys with the general formula Nd0.4 Zr0.6 Fe10-xCoxSi2(x = 0 -3) and their melt-spun ribbons were carried out using X-ray diffraction and M€ossbauer spectroscopy. The ThMn12-type structure is obtained for all samples as the majority phase with a minority a-Fe(CoSi) phase(less than 5 wt%) as it was estimated by XRD for x = 1 and 2. The Curie temperature increases linearly with Co substitution from 561 K for x = 0 to 712 K for x = 3. The saturation magnetization decreases slightly from 130.5(x =1)to 129.1 A·m2/kg(x=3), while the anisotropy field is following the same trend.
