The animal has the potential to serve as a clinical model for human disease,due to striking similarities and homologies in *** clinical development of a new drug may influence its final destination,and a careful and thoughtful approach to phase-1 clinical trials is ***(2-AEH2p)is a new cytostatic phospholipid agent that,unlike most chemotherapeutic drugs used today,does not target DNA or cytoskeleton,but act on the cell *** carried out by our group have shown several effects of 2-AEH2p controlling the progression of the cell cycle,in the alterations of the mitochondrial electrical potential capable of inducing apoptosis and autophagy in several types of human and animal tumor *** aim of this study is to establish the recommended safety dose of a 2-AEH2p monophosphoester,in dogs with tumor following the phase 1 study model proposed by *** phase-1 study following the Fibonacci model,2-AEH2p was safe at all staggered doses up to 150 mg/Kg for 8 *** administration in staggered doses according to the Fibonacci model,showed that the drug is safe,no advent of mortality during the study period or acute toxicity were *** is not a drug with hemolytic properties or that induces *** does not lead to changes in liver and renal functions and was able to modulate leukocyte production.2-AEH2p is new compound with antitumor potential,being useful for future veterinary and human tumors,as a combination of chemotherapeutic agents.

We report intrinsic photoconductivity studies on one of the least examined layered compounds,***-atomic layer ZrS2 field-effect transistors were fabricated on the Si/SiO2 substrate and photoconductivity measurements were performed using both two-and four-terminal configurations under the illumination of 532 nm laser *** measured photocurrent as a function of the incident optical power at several source-drain(bias)*** observe a significantly large photoconductivity when measured in the multiterminal(four-terminal)configuration compared to that in the two-terminal *** an incident optical power of 90 nW,the estimated photosensitivity and the external quantum efficiency(EQE)measured in two-terminal configuration are 0.5 A/W and 120%,respectively,under a bias voltage of 650 *** the same conditions,the four-terminal measurements result in much higher values for both the photoresponsivity(R)and EQE to 6 A/W and 1400%,*** significant improvement in photoresponsivity and EQE in the four-terminal configuration may have been influenced by the reduction of contact resistance at the metal-semiconductor interface,which greatly impacts the carrier mobility of low conducting *** suggests that photoconductivity measurements performed through the two-terminal configuration in previous studies on ZrS2 and other 2D materials have severely underestimated the true intrinsic properties of transition metal dichalcogenides and their remarkable potential for optoelectronic applications.

The Centro de Laseres pulsados in Salamanca,Spain has recently started operation phase and the first user access period on the 6 J 30 fs 200 TW system(VEGA 2)already started at the beginning of *** this paper we report on two commissioning experiments recently performed on the VEGA 2 system in preparation for the user *** 2 system has been tested in different configurations depending on the focusing optics and targets *** configuration(long focal length F=130 cm)is for underdense laser-matter interaction where VEGA 2 is focused onto a low density gas-jet generating electron beams(via laser wake field acceleration mechanism)with maximum energy up to 500 MeV and an X-ray betatron source with a 10 keV critical energy.A second configuration(short focal length F= 40 cm)is for overdense laser-matter interaction where VEGA 2 is focused onto a 5 μm thick Al target generating a proton beam with a maximum energy of 10 MeV and temperature of 2.5 *** this paper we present preliminary experimental results.

目的采用基于非监督多参数灌注的生存环境识别算法,评估胶质母细胞瘤术前血管异质性能否预测经标准化护理治疗病人的总体生存率。材料与方法纳入50例患有胶质母细胞瘤的病人,均于手术前行MR检查,包括动态磁敏感加权增强灌注成像（DSC MRI）。分析胶质母细胞瘤的灌注参数,自动勾画4个血管区,并描述肿瘤的血管异质性:强化肿瘤中血管密集区和稀少区、潜在的肿瘤浸润外周水肿区、血管源性水肿区。采用Kaplan-Meier和Cox风险比例分析来评估血流动力学组织特征以预测病人的生存率。结果 Cox回归分析显示,在血管密集区和血管稀少区,病人的生存率与最大相对脑血容量(rCBVmax)和最大相对脑血流量(rCBFmax)之间显著相关（ppppplan-Meier分析显示以rCBVmax或rCBFmax中位数分组时,观测到的人群存活率在血管密集区和血管稀少区之间差异有统计学意义（时序检验pp<0.05）,且平均生存期增加了230 d。结论术前灌注的异质性与病人总体生存率存在一定相关性。血流动力学组织信号可以自动识别这种异质性,或许可根据评价血管环境来进行预后评估。

We analyzed the allelic and genotypic frequencies of the glutathione-S-transferase p1 （GSTpI） rs1695 single nucleotide polymorphism （SNp） in 290 patients with multiple sclerosis （MS） and in 310 healthy controls. We found no significant association between the rs1695 variant and MS. Among MS patients, there was no relationship between the rs1695 variant and either gender, clinical type of MS or the age of onset of MS.

Objectives: We sought to determine the relationship between cigarette smoking and outcomes after mechanical reperfusion therapy in acute myocardial infarction(AMI). Background: prior studies have found that smokers with AMI have lower mortality rates and a more favorable response to fibrinolytic therapy than nonsmokers. The impact of cigarette smoking in patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention has not been examined. Methods: In the CADILLAC trial, 2082 patients with AMI were randomized to percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty±abciximab versus stenting±abciximab. Data on smoking status were prospectively collected and follow-up continued for 1 year. Results: At the time of presentation, 638(31%) patients had never smoked, 546(26%) were former smokers, and 898(45%) were currently smoking. In comparison to nonsmokers, current smokers were younger, more often men, and less frequently had diabetes, hypertension, prior AMI, and triple-vessel coronary disease. procedural success rates were unrelated to smoking status. Mortality was lowest in current smokers, intermediate in former smokers, and highest in nonsmokers at 30 days(1.3%vs 1.7%vs 3.5%, respectively, p=.02) and 1 year(2.9%vs 3.7%vs 6.6%, p=.0008). After multivariate correction for differences in baseline variables, however, current smoking status was no longer protective from late mortality(hazard ratio 0.96, 95%CI 0.52-1.76, p=.89). Conclusions: The “smokers paradox”extends to patients undergoing primary pCI for AMI, with increased survival seen in current smokers, an effect entirely explained by differences in baseline risk and not smoking status per se. The deleterious effects of smoking are expressed in the occurrence of AMI nearly a decade earlier than in nonsmokers, with similar age-adjusted risk, mandating intensive primary and secondary cigarette-cessation efforts.

A search for the rare decay B^(0)→J/ψФis performed using pp collision data collected with the LHCb dete-ctor at centre-of-mass energies of 7,8 and 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of9 *** significant signal of the decay is observed and an upper limitof 1.1x 10^(-7)at 90%confidence level is set on the branching fraction.

To improve competitiveness,the nation's railroads have increased the axle loads and speed of the *** has led to a rapid decrease in the life expectancy of premium rails through accelerated wear,rolling contact fatigue and *** counter this effect,the railroads need rails that exhibit better performance in these areas.A research program has been initiated to study the microstructural aspects of near-eutectoid steels that would improve these *** first phase of the work was to carefully characterize the existing commercial rail steels in terms of pearlite interlamellar spacing,steel cleanliness and the presence of pro-eutectoid cementite on prior-austenite *** characterizations were then correlated with both mechanical properties and overall rail *** second phase of the program was to develop a better microstructure through control of composition,thermomechanical processing and cooling *** was achieved through the use of laboratory-melted heats of experimental near-eutectoid compositions and a computer controlled MTS compression machine modified for axisymmetric compression testing and subsequent controlled *** optimum processing route for these new steels has been determined,and pilot-scale heats have been melted,hot rolled and cooled using the information gained from the MTS *** mechanical properties of these new steels have been determined and the rail performance tests are being conducted using laboratory-scale ***,these new rail steels will be tested under commercial conditions on the TTCI test track in pueblo,*** paper will report on the alloy and processing design and resulting properties of the steels developed in this research *** for future rail compositions and processing to obtain improved properties and performance will be presented.
