This study is designed to develop Artificial Intelligence(AI)based analysis tool that could accurately detect COVID-19 lung infections based on portable chest x-rays(CXRs).The frontline physicians and radiologists suffer from grand challenges for COVID-19 pandemic due to the suboptimal image quality and the large volume of *** this study,AI-based analysis tools were developed that can precisely classify COVID-19 lung *** available datasets of COVID-19(N=1525),non-COVID-19 normal(N=1525),viral pneumonia(N=1342)and bacterial pneumonia(N=2521)from the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology(SIRM),Radiopaedia,The Cancer Imaging Archive(TCIA)and Kaggle repositories were taken.A multi-approach utilizing deep learning ResNet101 with and without hyperparameters optimization was ***,the fea-tures extracted from the average pooling layer of ResNet101 were used as input to machine learning(ML)algorithms,which twice trained the learning *** ResNet101 with optimized parameters yielded improved performance to default *** extracted features from ResNet101 are fed to the k-nearest neighbor(KNN)and support vector machine(SVM)yielded the highest 3-class classification performance of 99.86%and 99.46%,*** results indicate that the proposed approach can be bet-ter utilized for improving the accuracy and diagnostic efficiency of *** proposed deep learning model has the potential to improve further the efficiency of the healthcare systems for proper diagnosis and prognosis of COVID-19 lung infection.

The coronavirus(COVID-19)is a disease declared a global pan-demic that threatens the whole *** then,research has accelerated and varied to find practical solutions for the early detection and correct identification of this *** researchers have focused on using the potential of Artificial Intelligence(AI)techniques in disease diagnosis to diagnose and detect the *** paper developed deep learning(DL)and machine learning(ML)-based models using laboratory findings to diagnose *** different methods are used in this study:K-nearest neighbor(KNN),Decision Tree(DT)and Naive Bayes(NB)as a machine learning method,and Deep Neural Network(DNN),Convolutional Neural Network(CNN),and Long-term memory(LSTM)as DL *** approaches are evaluated using a dataset obtained from the Israelita Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo,*** data consists of 5644 laboratory results from different patients,with 10%being Covid-19 positive *** dataset includes 18 attributes that characterize *** used accuracy,f1-score,recall and precision to evaluate the different developed *** obtained results confirmed these approaches’effectiveness in identifying COVID-19,However,ML-based classifiers couldn’t perform up to the standards achieved by DL-based *** all,NB performed worst by hardly achieving accuracy above 76%,Whereas KNN and DT compete by securing 84.56%and 85%accuracies,*** these,DL models attained better performance as CNN,DNN and LSTM secured more than 90%*** LTSM outperformed all by achieving an accuracy of 96.78%and an F1-score of 96.58%.

The occurrence of Helicobacter pylori in hydatid liver disease

Objective:To detect the prevalence of Helicobacter pylori(***) in hydatid liver disease. Methods:A lolal of 58 patients with hydatid liver disease attending AL-Sadder Teaching Hospital in Al-Najaf and Al-Basrah governorate from February to August,2008 were included in the study and served as group *** hundred and twenty 1st degree relative patients(group B) and 20 normal persons including 10 male and 10 female(group C) as control were detected for the presence of *** infection in general *** X-ray was done for the above groups to exclude lung hydrated *** patients were screened by ultrasound to obtain intra abdominal hydrated cyst and enzymc-linkcd immuno sorbcnt assay(ELISA) test was utilized to detect the *** ***:Fifty eight patients from group A with hydatid liver disease,30 male(51.7%) and 28 female(48.3%) were screened for the presence of *** infection by using ELISA *** found that 28 patients from group A had positive ELISA test including 19 male(32.8%) and 9 female(15.5%)(P<0.0l).However,there were no positive results of *** infection in group B and C by chest X-ray,ultrasound and ELISA ***:It can be concluded that there is a strong relationship between hydatid liver disease and presence of ***.

AIM: To examine the signalling mechanisms involved in the synergistic interaction of 5-hydroxytryptamine （5-HT） and arachidonic acid （AA） in human platelet aggregation. METHODS: Blood was obtained from healthy human subjects, mixed with 3.8% sodium citrate （9:1）, and centrifuged to prepare platelet rich plasma （PRP）. Aggregation was monitored using a Dual-channel Lumi-aggregometer. The agonist-induced influx of Ca2+was measured using Fura-2 AM. TXA2formation was studied using radiochemical method. RESULTS: Subthreshold concentration of 5-HT （2μmol/L） potentiated the effect of low dose of AA （0.2 mmol/L） in human platelets. This synergistic effect was blocked by 5-HT2receptor antagonist (methysergide IC50=5.2 nmol/L; cyproheptadine IC50=0.6 nmol/L), and thromboxane A2receptor antagonist (SQ 29 548; IC50=30 nmol/L), showing that the effect is receptor-mediated. New antiglycation and enzyme inhibitors from Parmotrema cooperi

Lichens are unique individuals which have been widely used in traditional medicines. This study was focused on the bioassayguided phytochemical investigation, and bioactivity evaluation on a lichens species, Parmotrema cooperi. This first bioassaydirected chemical study on P. cooperi has led to the isolation of ethyl heamatomate （1）, atraric acid （2）, ethyl orsellinate （3）, orsellinic acid （4）, lecanoric acid （5）, gyrophoric acid （6）, and licanorin （7）. The structures of 1-7 were mainly elucidated from spectroscopic methods including 1D, and 2D NMR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry. These compounds were evaluated for their antiglycation, urease, a-chymotrypsin, and β-glucoronidase inhibitory activities. Few of the phenolic compounds showed significant, while most of them showed good inhibition of protein glycation, and urease activities.

Design,synthesis and biological evaluation of amino organophosphorus imidazoles as a new type of potential antimicrobial agents

A series of amino organophosphorus imidazoles were designed and synthesized as a novel structural type of antimicrobial *** evaluation in vitro showed that compound 3f exhibited equipotent or superior anti-methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(anti-MRSA) and anti-S. cerevisiae efficiencies(minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC)=2 μg/mL) to clinical drugs,and the combinations with antibacterial or antifungal drugs enhanced the antimicrobial efficiency. Highly active molecule 3f showed low propensity for bacteria to develop resistance, and the preliminary action mechanism studies demonstrated that 3f was membrane-active, but had no significant intercalation towards MRSA DNA. The computational study on 3f reasonably explained its high antimicrobial activity. Experimental data revealed that ground-state 3f-HSA complexes were formed mainly through hydrophobic interactions and hydrogen bonds with a spontaneous process, and the non-radioactive energy transfer from HSA to 3f occurred beyond F鰎ster resonance energy transfer theory. The participation of metal ions in 3f-HSA supramolucular system could increase the concentration of free compound 3f, and shorten its storage time and half-life in the blood to improve the maximum antimicrobial efficacy.

Smart city-aspiring urban areas should have a number of necessary elements in place to achieve the intended *** controlling and management of traffic conditions,increased safety and surveillance,and enhanced incident avoidance and management should be top priorities in smart city *** the same time,Vehicle License Plate Number Recognition(VLPNR)has become a hot research topic,owing to several real-time applications like automated toll fee processing,traffic law enforcement,private space access control,and road traffic *** VLPNR is a computer vision-based technique which is employed in the recognition of automobiles based on vehicle number *** current research paper presents an effective Deep Learning(DL)-based VLPNR called DLVLPNR model to identify and recognize the alphanumeric characters present in license *** proposed model involves two main stages namely,license plate detection and Tesseract-based character *** detection of alphanumeric characters present in license plate takes place with the help of fast RCNN with Inception V2 ***,the characters in the detected number plate are extracted using Tesseract Optical Character Recognition(OCR)*** performance of DL-VLPNR model was tested in this paper using two benchmark databases,and the experimental outcome established the superior performance of the model compared to other methods.

Hepatoprotective evaluation of Anogeissus latifolia:In vitro and in vivo studies

AIM： To evaluate the hepatoprotective activity of a hydroalcoholic extract of the bark of Anogeissus latifolia; in vitro in primary rat hepatocyte monolayer culture and in vivo in the liver of Wistar rats intoxicated by carbon tetrachloride （CCl4）. METHODS： In the in vitro study, a primary hepatocyte monolayer culture was treated with CCh and extract of Anogeissus latifolia. Hepatoprotective activity was demonstrated in the CCh damaged primary monolayer culture. In the in vivo study, the hepatoprotective activity of a hydroalcoholic extract ofAnogeissus latifolia was analyzed in liver injured CCh-treated rats. Biochemical parameters including serum transaminases [aspartate aminotransferase （AST） and alanine aminotransferase （ALT）] and alkaline phosphatase （ALP） in serum wereanalyzed. The biochemical findings were supplemented with histopathological examination of rat liver sections. RESULTS： In vitro： primary hepatocyte monolayer cultures were treated with CCh and extract of Anogeissus latifolia. A protective activity could be demonstrated in the CCh damaged primary monolayer cultUre. In vivo： Hydroalcoholic extract of Anogeissus latifolia （300 mg/kg） was found to have protective activity in rats with CCh-induced liver damage as judged from serum marker enzyme activity. CONCLUSION： The above findings lead to the conclusion that the hydroalcoholic extract of Anogeissus latifol/a is hepatoprotective. Hence, we suggest that the inclusion of this plant in the management of liver disorders is justified.
