A novel isoflavone–chromone flavonoid C–O–C dimmer,brevipedicelone D(1),along with one new C–O–C biflavonoid derivative,brevipedicelone E(2),were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of the leaves of Garcinia brevipedicellata,a medicinal plant used in folk medicine in parts of *** structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic techniques,including 1D-and 2D-NMR,MS experiments,as well as comparing their spectral data with those of known ***-onchocercal screening of 1 showed moderate inhibition of adult worm motility of Onchocerca ochengi by 60%at the highest concentration(20 μg/mL)and inhibited motility of both the juvenile worms of *** and Loa loa by 90%at this same concentration.

Background:the study aimed to investigate the 24-month safety and efficacy of implantation of two secondgeneration iStent inject trabecular micro-bypass stents with concomitant cataract ***:this consecutive case series included 164 eyes of 109 patients implanted with the iStent inject®device with concomitant cataract *** series was comprised of eyes with primary open-angle glaucoma(n=84),pseudoexfoliation glaucoma(n=42),normal-tension glaucoma(n=18),and ocular hypertension(n=20).All 164 eyes reached 9–14 months of follow-up(“12-month consistent cohort”),with a subset of 88 eyes reaching 21–26 months of follow-up(“24-month consistent cohort”).Performance outcome measures included intraocular pressure(IOP)and number of glaucoma *** outcomes included intra-or postoperative complications,the need for secondary procedures and corrected distance visual *** of change in continuous(e.g.,IOP)and categorical(e.g.,proportions of eyes on zero medications)measures between baseline and postoperative times were made with the paired t-test and McNemar’s chi-squared test,***:At 12 months postoperatively,IOP was reduced by 25.5%(from 20.0±5.5 mmHg to 14.9±2.0 mmHg;pt 24 months postoperatively,IOP was reduced by 26.6%(from 20.3±6.1 mmHg to 14.9±1.9 mmHg;pt 12 months postoperatively,mean number of glaucoma medications was reduced by 85.0%(from 2.0±1.0 to 0.3±0.8 medications;pt 24 months postoperatively,mean number of medications was reduced by 81.0%(from 2.1±1.1 to 0.4±0.8 medications;pter 12 months,96.3%of eyes had an IOP≤18 mmHg and 58.5%of eyes had an IOP≤15 mmHg,with 81.1%of eyes free of any medication,compared to 1.8%of eyes medication-free in the 12-month cohort at *** 24 months,98.9%of eyes had an IOP≤18 mmHg and 53.4%of eyes had an IOP≤15 mmHg,with 72.7%free of medication compared to 1.1%of eyes medication-free in the 24-month cohort at ***,a high safe

Single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes(SIPEs)can be formed by anchoring charge delocalized anions on the side chains of a crosslinked polymer matrix,thereby eliminating the severe concentration polarization efect in conventional dual-ion polymer *** of a plasticizer into the polymer matrix confers advantages of both liquid and solid ***,plasticized SIPEs usually face a trade-of between conductivity and mechanical *** insufcient strength,potentially there is short-circuiting failure during *** address this challenge,a simple and mechanicallyrobust SIPE was developed by crosslinking monomer lithium(4-styrenesulfonyl)(trifuoromethylsulfonyl)imide(LiStFSI)and crosslinker poly(ethylene glycol)diacrylate(PEGDA),with plasticizer propylene carbonate(PC),on electrospun polyacrylonitrile nanofbers(PAN-NFs).the well-fabricated polymer matrix provided fast and efective Li^(+) conductive pathways with a remarkable ionic conductivity of 8.09×10^(-4) S cm^(−1) and a superior lithium-ion transference number close to unity(t_(Li+)=0.92).the introduction of PAN-NFs not only improved the mechanical strength and fexibility but also endowed the plasticized SIPE with a wide electrochemical stability window(4.9 V ***^(+)/Li)and better cycling *** longterm lithium cycling stability and dynamic interfacial compatibility were demonstrated by lithium symmetric cell *** importantly,the assembled all-solid-state Li metal batteries showed stable cycling performance and remarkable rate capability both in low and high current ***,this straightforward and mechanically reinforced SIPE exhibits great potential in the development of advanced all-solid-state Li-metal batteries.

An objective evaluation scheme for automotive technical and comprehensive performance could provide critical and instructive insights for academic research,engineering practice,and commercial marketing of *** this paper,the technical performance index A=S∕t_(1)⋅t_(2)(m∕(s^(2)⋅L))and comprehensive performance index F=M⋅S∕t_(1)⋅t_(2),(kN⋅L^(−1),where M is the vehicle mass)are formulated by incorporating the vehicle 0–100 km⋅h^(−1) acceleration duration t_(1),100–0 km⋅h^(−1) braking duration t_(2),and fuel economy S(mileage per liter fuel at constant speed)to assess the vehicle’s longitudinal dynamic performance.A and F offer a clear physical implication of a vehicle’s acceleration capability and traction efficiency acquired per unit of fuel consumption,*** indexes are used for wide case studies of popular market sedans and SUVs of joint ventures(JVs)and domestic brands in China over the last 17 *** findings prove that this approach could be effectively and reliably utilized for the objective evaluation and analysis of the technical and comprehensive performance of automotive models.

针对大耳沙蜥在沙子中的运动行为,以球形物体为研究对象,利用3维离散元数值模拟程序LIGGGHtS模拟了旋转运动模式对颗粒物质中球形物体平动和上升/下降行为的影响,定量分析了旋转速度以及颗粒间摩擦系数等因素的具体影响.研究结果表明:球形物体与颗粒物质基底颗粒间的摩擦系数以及球形物体的自转角速度对球形物体的运动有明显影响,摩擦系数越大物体运动越明显,自转角速度越大物体运动越明显.该结果比较好地解释了沙漠生物外表具有鳞片的原因.

Relative Proliferation of Gullies on three Geological Sediments: the Influence of Soil Consistency Limits and Shear Strength

this study was carried out to evaluate the influence of soil consistency limits and shear strength on the relative proliferation of gullies on three geological sediments, namely: the Upper Coal Measures (UCM), the Ajalli Sandstones (AS), and the Lower Coal Measures (LCM), which has been ranked as AS > UCM > LCM. Soil samples were collected from a depth range of 60 - 90 cm of sampling pits dug at a selected location on each of these texturally homogenous and unique formations. these were analysed for consistency limits and shear strength using standard methods and procedures. Results showed that the plasticity index (PI) of the UCM (PIUCM) was 24.49%;PIAS, 5.89%;and PILCM, 44.85%. the shear strength (S) of the UCM (SUCM) was 314.74 KN/m2;SAS, 196.23 KN/m2;and SLCM, 321.72 KN/m2. the results of the study show that rankings of the respective contributions of these two geotechnical properties to the vulnerability of the sediments to gully (soil) erosion follow the same order of proliferation of gullies on the plateau landscape: AS > UCM > LCM. Hence, consistency limits and shear strength parameters partly influence and explain the relative proliferation of gullies on the three formations. Further studies are required to determine other soil factors of gully erosion in the area in order to evolve appropriate management strategies for these sediments.

Colorectal cancer represents the third most diagnosed malignancy in the *** liver is the main site of metastatic disease,affected in 30%of patients with newly diagnosed *** resection is considered the only potentially curative treatment for colorectal liver metastasis(CRLM),with a 5-year survival rate ranging from 35%to 58%.However,up to 80%of patients have initially unresectable disease,due to extrahepatic disease or bilobar multiple liver *** availability of increasingly effective systemic chemotherapy has contributed to converting patients with initially unresectable liver metastases to resectable disease,improving long-term outcomes,and accessing tumor *** recent years,response to preoperative systemic chemotherapy before liver resection has been established as a major prognostic *** studies have demonstrated that patients with regression of hepatic metastases while on chemotherapy have improved outcomes when compared to patients with stabilization or progression of the *** if disease progression during chemotherapy represents an independent negative prognostic factor,some patients may still benefit from surgery,given the role of this modality as the main treatment with curative intent for patients with *** selected cases,based on size,the number of lesions,and tumor markers,surgery may be offered despite the less favorable prognosis and as an option for non-chemo responders.
