Antimicrobial,hemagglutination and phytotoxic activity of crude ethanolic and aqueous extracts of Seriphidium kurramense

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the antimicrobial activity, hemagglutination and phytotoxic activity of crude ethanolic and aqueous extracts of Seriphidium ***: The extracts were analyzed by agar well diffusion assays against five bacterial species:Staphylococcus aureus(S. aureus), methicillin-resistant S. aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Bacillus subtilis, and Salmonella typhi. The extracts were also screened against six fungal species — Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Alternaria solani, Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium solani and Pleurotus florida — using the agar tube diffusion method. Additionally, hemagglutination and phytotoxic activities of the crude ethanolic and aqueous extracts were ***: The crude ethanolic and aqueous extracts showed dose-dependent inhibition of the various tested fungal and bacterial strains. No hemagglutination activity was observed. Both the ethanolic and aqueous extracts showed dose-dependent phytotoxic activity toward Lemna ***: The crude ethanolic and aqueous extracts of Seriphidium kurramense possess good antimicrobial and phytotoxic activities, but no hemagglutination activity.

生词的注释是初级汉语教材中必不可少的一部分,学生学习和教师教学都需要生词注释的辅助。教材的生词注释不同于汉语阿拉伯语词典翻译,其具有自己的特点。教材的生词注释不仅要按照课文语境列出译词,还要注重中阿两种语言和文化的差别及其他因素。因此,如何在国际中文教育过程中让生词注释更好地发挥作用以及如何更加科学地进行生词注释是特别重要的问题。目前,在汉语国际教育学界有很多关于生词注释方面的研究,但是却很少存在针对阿拉伯语的汉语生词注释研究。本文包括三个部分:第一部分为绪论,介绍了研究意义、对象和方法,并简单阐释汉语教材注释研究现状;第二部分简述目前教材生词注释的情况;从语义、语法和文化方面总结了《新实用汉语课本（1）》阿拉伯注释本存在的一些问题,同时分析和概述了《新实用汉语课本（1）》和《新概念汉语（1）》两本教材中相同生词注释的异同;第三部分,笔者举出一些相关的教学对策和针对《新实用汉语课本（1）》的修改建议。通过对《新实用汉语课本（1）》生词注释研究和分析,笔者结合阿拉伯语和汉语特点,从语义、语法和文化三个层面对生词注释提出建议,希望可以为国别化汉语教材注释研究的发展提供一点贡献。通过对《新实用汉语课本（1）》和《新概念汉语（1）》两本教材生词注释的对比分析,也启发我对生词注释中存在的问题的一些改善和修改。

Objective We evaluate the effects of Thymus algeriensis （TEO） against hydrogen peroxide （H202） toxicity on body and testis weight, testis sperm count, testis lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant enzyme activities in rats. Methods Rats were treated with low （LD） and high dose （HD） of H202 （0.1 and 1 mmol/L） in the presence or absence of TEO （150 mg/kg）. Results The results exhibited a significant decrease in body weight and testis weight, in total sperm number decrease （P〈0.05）, sperm motility and percentage of sperm viability, leading to complete arrest, in sperm flagellar beat frequency by the gavage of 1 mmol/L H202 compared to controls. The administration of H2O2 resulted in a significant reduction in testis GSH, GPx, CAT, SOD, and GST activity and significant increase （P〈0.05） in MDA concentration compared with the untreated control animals. TEO pre-treatment protected testis from the H2O2 generated oxidative stress. These results were confirmed by histological architecture examinations. Conclusion H2O2 has the ability to alter the sperm function, characteristics and development of testis. However, TEO is an efficient natural agent, which can prevent the testis from H2O2-induced oxidative damage in rats.

Milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) phospholipids-based nanostructures were developed and their functionalization with rhamnolipids (RLs) was carried out to enhance the preservation of cheese against resistant foodborne pathogens i.e.,Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli .Void (without nisin) and nisin-loaded RLs functionalized MFGM nanostructures (RLs-MFGM-NS) were fabricated by ultrasonication-assisted self-assembly *** morphology of void and loaded RLs-MFGM-NS and pristine MFGM nanostructures (MFGM-NS) was observed under scanning electron microscopy (SEM),which indicated uniform size ranging from 43 nm (void RLs-MFGM-NS) to 194 nm (loaded RLs-MFGM-NS).FTIR analyses confirmed the electrostatic interaction,predominantly H-bonding and linkage of carboxyl ester group of MFGM with C–H group in RLs after functionalization of ***,quantitative antimicrobial assay on cheese slices confirmed the broad-spectrum potential of intrinsically active nanostructures (due to RLs) having synergistic activity with nisin against *** and *** .Hence,nisin-loaded RLs-MFGM-NS can be applied as promising bioactive additives for sustained preservation of cheese.

In arid and semi-arid regions, salinity is a serious and chronic problem for agriculture. The aim of this study is to evaluate the hydromorphical and salinity risks, and to evaluate the relationship and the possible interfering between the water table and the soil on the oasis of Gabes. The topic is very important, especially for nations around the oceans in arid and semi-arid regions. The effect of the gypsum alkalinity in the soil salinity has investigated. The chemical characteristic of used water irrigation (salinity saturation) and their impact factor in the productivity area. Moreover, in this study the program of examination need to put fifteen piesometres by CRAD (Regional Commissariat of Agriculture Development) in the city of Gabes to controlling the variation of water levels in the superficial water table and their change chemical quality. The experimental measure of this program needs a yearly observation and investigation during April and May to evaluate the hydromorphical and salinity risks on the oasis of Gabes. The relationship and the possible interfering between the water table and the soil has evaluate in such condition.

Identifying Brain Characteristics of Bright Students

Gifted students have different ways of learning. They are characterized by a fitful level of attention and intuitive reasoning. In order to distinguish gifted students from normal students, we conducted an experiment with 17 pupils, willing participants in this study. We collected different types of data (gender, age, performance, initial average in math and EEG mental states) in a web platform called NetMath intending for the learning of mathematics. We selected ten tasks divided into three difficulty levels (easy, medium and hard). Participants were invited to respond to top-level exercises on the four basic operations in decimals. Our first results confirmed that the student’s performance has no relation with age. A younger 9-year-old student achieved a higher score than the group with an average of 68.18%. This student can be considered as a gifted one. The gifted students can be also characterized by a mean value of attention (around 60%). They also can be defined by slightly weaker values of their mental states of attention and workload in comparison with the weak pupils.

Background:Following recent findings from our group that curcumin preconditioning augments the therapeutic efficacy of adipose-derived stem cells in the healing of diabetic wounds in rats,we aimed to investigate the regenerative effects of curcumin preconditioned adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells(ASCs)for better recovery of acid inflicted burns in this ***:ASCs were preconditioned with 5μM curcumin for 24 hours and assessed for proliferation,migration,paracrine release potential and gene expression comparative to naive ***,the healing capacity of curcumin preconditioned ASCs(Cur-ASCs)versus naive ASCs was examined using acidic wounds in *** this,acid inflicted burns of 20 mm in diameter were made on the back of male Wistar ***,2×10^(6) cells of Cur-ASCs and naive ASCs were intradermally injected in the wound periphery(n=6)for comparison with an untreated saline ***-transplantation,wounds were macroscopically analysed and photographed to evaluate the percentage of wound closure and period of *** wound biopsies were excised and used for histological evaluation and expression analysis of wound healing markers at molecular level by quantitative PCR and western ***:We found that Cur-ASCs exhibited greater proliferation,migration and paracrine potential in ***,Cur-ASCs showed more effective recovery than naive ASCs as exhibited by gross morphology,faster wound closure and earlier ***’s trichrome and hematoxylin and eosin staining demonstrated the improved architecture of the healing burns,as evidenced by reduced infiltration of inflammatory cells,compact collagen and marked granulation in Cur-ASC treated *** these findings,molecular assessment showed significantly reduced expressions of pro-inflammatory factors(interleukin-1 beta,interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor alpha)a with striking upsurge of an oxidative marker(superoxide dismutase 1),p
