Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CBZ-control),Group III(VE-control),Group IV(CBZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group VI(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group VII(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group VIII(levothyroxine+CBZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of Medicine,suez Canal University(Ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione(Gsh),superoxide dismutase(sOD),and catalase(CAT;all Pse chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)mRNA levels(all Phyperthyroid group treated with CBZ alone(Group VI)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group VIII showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully.

A Proposed Approach for Measuring Maturity Level of software Delivery

software delivery is vital for modern organizations, driving innovation and competitiveness. Measuring an organization’s maturity in software delivery is crucial for efficiency and quality. The Capability Maturity Model (CMM) framework provides a roadmap for improvement but assessing an organization’s CMM Level is challenging. This paper offers a quantitative approach tailored to the CMM framework, using Goal-Question-Metric (GQM) frame-works for each key process area (KPA). These frameworks include metrics and questions to compute maturity scores effectively. The study also refines practices into questions for a thorough assessment. The result is an Analysis Matrix that calculates weighted scores and an overall maturity score. This approach helps organizations assess and enhance their software delivery processes systematically, aiming for improved practices and growth.

A lightweight flexible thermally stable composite is fabricated by com-bining silica nanofiber membranes(sNM)with MXene@c-MWCNT hybrid *** flexible sNM with outstanding thermal insulation are prepared from tetraethyl orthosilicate hydrolysis and condensation by electrospinning and high-temperature calcination;the MXene@c-MWCNT_(x:y)films are prepared by vacuum filtration *** particular,the sNM and MXene@c-MWCNT_(6:4)as one unit layer(sMC_(1))are bonded together with 5 wt%polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)solution,which exhibits low thermal conductivity(0.066 W m^(-1)K^(-1))and good electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding performance(average EMI sE_(T),37.8 dB).With the increase in func-tional unit layer,the overall thermal insulation performance of the whole composite film(sMC_(x))remains stable,and EMI shielding performance is greatly improved,especially for sMC_(3)with three unit layers,the average EMI sET is as high as 55.4 *** addition,the organic combination of rigid sNM and tough MXene@c-MWCNT_(6:4)makes sMC_(x)exhibit good mechanical tensile ***,sMC_(x)exhibit stable EMI shielding and excellent thermal insulation even in extreme heat and cold ***,this work provides a novel design idea and important reference value for EMI shielding and thermal insulation components used in extreme environmental protection equipment in the future.

Diagnostic accuracy of ePOs score in predicting DNR labeling after ICU admission:A prospective observational study(ePOs-DNR)

Background Resuscitation can sometimes be futile and making a do-not-resuscitate(DNR)decision is in the best interest of the *** electronic poor outcome screening(ePOs)score was developed to predict 6-month poor outcomes of critically ill *** explored the diagnostic accuracy of the ePOs score in predicting DNR decisions in the intensive care unit(ICU).Methods This study was conducted at the ICU of a tertiary referral hospital in saudi Arabia between March and May ***,we calculated ePOs scores for all eligible consecutive admissions after 48 h in the ICU and recorded the DNR *** ability of the score to predict DNR was explored using logistic ***'s ideal cut-off value was calculated using the DeLong method,and different diagnostic accuracy measures were generated with corresponding 95%confidence intervals(CIs).Results We enrolled 857 patients,125 received a DNR order and 732 did *** average ePOs score of DNR and non-DNR patients was 28.2±10.7 and 15.2±9.7,*** score,as a predictor of DNR order,had an area under receiver operator characteristic(AUROC)curve of 81.8%(95%CI:79.0 to 84.3,Ps ideal cut-off value>17 was associated with a sensitivity of 87.2(95%CI:80.0 to 92.5,Pspecificity of 63.9(95%CI:60.3 to 67.4,Psitive predictive value of 29.2(95%CI:24.6 to 33.8,Pstic odds ratio 12.1(95%CI:7.0 to 20.8,Psions In this study,the ePOs score performed well as a diagnostic test for patients who will be labeled as DNR during their ICU stay.A cut-off score>17 may help guide clinical decisions to withhold or commence resuscitative measures.

Internet of things(IoT)field has emerged due to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and communication *** use of IoT technology in modern healthcare environments is convenient for doctors and patients as it can be used in real-time monitoring of patients,proper administration of patient information,and healthcare ***,the usage of IoT in the healthcare domain will become a nightmare if patient information is not securely maintainedwhile transferring over an insecure network or storing at the administrator *** this manuscript,the authors have developed a secure IoT healthcare monitoring system using the Blockchainbased XOR Elliptic Curve Cryptography(BC-XORECC)technique to avoid various vulnerable ***,thework has established an authentication process for patient details by generating tokens,keys,and tags using Length Ceaser Cipher-based PearsonhashingAlgorithm(LCC-PhA),EllipticCurve Cryptography(ECC),and Fishers Yates shuffled Based Adelson-Velskii and Landis(FYs-AVL)*** authentications prevent unauthorized users from accessing or misuse the *** that,a secure data transfer is performed using BC-XORECC,which acts faster by maintaining high data privacy and blocking the path for the ***,the Linear spline Kernel-Based Recurrent Neural Network(LsK-RNN)classification monitors the patient’s health *** whole developed framework brings out a secure data transfer without data loss or data breaches and remains efficient for health care monitoring via *** analysis shows that the proposed framework achieves a faster encryption and decryption time,classifies the patient’s health status with an accuracy of 89%,and remains robust comparedwith the existing state-of-the-art method.

URBAN PLANNING:A TOOL FOR URBAN POVERTY ALLEVIATION IN sUDAN

It is expected that over 50% of the world population will live in cities in 2005. The growing trend indicates that as many as one fifth of all households still remain with housing tenure problems which they try to solve through very expensive rentals insecurity socially and environmentally-hazardous squatting or unhealthy overcrowding sometimes ending up with none at all. And hence propcr planning is necessary in urban development policies to improve human settlement managements in a sustainable way. This article has tried to handle urban poverty in the Sudan to a reasonable level of detail. It dealt with selected areas with regard to promotion of sustainable human settlement. The study managed to identity some recent progress in Sudanese human settlements that is however still accompanied by numerous serious instances of decline in the urban environment especially that of the greater Khartoum. Such instances of environmental deterioration are profiled and analyzed by the study with respect to all human settlement aspects of management land-use infrastructure energy and transport. The paper's conclusion emphasized that improving all these aspects is of high priority.

Impact of Water Deterioration on Growth Indices and Meat Quality of Tilapia zillii and solea aegyptiaca Fish Inhabiting Lake Qaroun, Egypt

The present work studies water deterioration, fish survival and production as a result of effluents discharged directly without prior treatments into lake Qaroun at Fayoum governorate, Egypt. Lake Qaroun represents heavily polluted wild habitat for both studied fish species, Tilapia zillii and solea aegyptiaca, the most abundant species. Results revealed deterioration in water quality (low dissolved oxygen but high ammonia, nitrite, copper, lead and cadmium) of Northeastern sector where El-Bats drain discharge its effluents without prior treatment followed by that of eastern sector at four km from the point of El-Bats discharge. Water salinity and dissolved oxygen values were in the following order: Western lake Qaroun sector > Eastern lake Qaroun sector > Northeastern lake Qaroun sector. however, Ammonia and nitrite readings were in the following order: Northeastern sector of Lake Qaroun is followed by the Eastern sector, then the Western sector. Moreover, results of the present field study revealed a decrease in fish production with the lowest condition factor and a deterioration in meat quality (an increase in muscle water content and ash but a decrease total protein and total lipids) in case of fish collected from the polluted sites along the lake (Northeastern and eastern sectors). however, fish collected from the unpolluted western sector of the lake showed condition factor and chemical muscle composition more or less similar to normal healthy fish.

Friction and wear of sand-contaminated lubricated sliding

This paper reports a test investigation of friction and wear responses from sand contaminated lubricated sliding. The influence of sand contaminants on wear and friction is characterized. Analyses are completed utilizing segments of piston ring sliding against the cylinder liner. Paraffin oil, with and without sand contaminants, is utilized. The effects of the concentration and particle size of sand are examined. Based on the observations in the present work, we found that friction and wear increase with sand concentration in the lube. solid proposals ought to be considered, in order to enlighten the general population on the importance of changing a car engine's oil filter regularly.
