The recovery of rare earth elements(REEs) is a global challenge and the mining of rare earths has serious environmental implications due to the toxic waste released post ***,the rising demand for rare earths and their far reaching electronic applications necessitates an effective strategy to recover the REEs from more viable *** this work,the graphene oxide-Aspergillus niger spores(*** spores) blend was utilized for adsorptive recovery of a precious rare earth Eu(Ⅲ) and the adsorption variables like pH of the medium,adsorbent dosage,sorption kinetics,thermodynamics,and isotherm were optimized for the developed bioso *** adsorption process suits the Langmuir isotherm model with a maximum adsorption capacity of 147.3 mg/*** pseudo-second-order kinetics is a perfect fit to describe the adsorption *** results obtained through the Van’t Hoff plot show negative free energy change(ΔG^(0)) which implies the spontaneity of the adsorption *** negative standard enthalpy change(ΔH^(0)) values show that the nature of the adsorption process is *** analytical characterizations including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),Raman,X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET),thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA),and scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM-EDX) were employed to study the *** features of *** spores biosorbent were applied to recover Eu(Ⅲ) from real samples such as fluorescent lamp phosphor,red phosphor powder,and a simulated radioactive waste solution.

Background: Following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), delirium emerges as a prevalent complication. This study aimed to assess the correlation between elevated serum cortisol levels and the occurrence of postoperative delirium subsequent to off-pump CABG. Methods: Conducted in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at BSMMU from October 2020 to September 2022, this comparative cross-sectional study included a total of 44 participants. Subjects, meeting specific criteria, were purposefully assigned to two groups based on off-pump CABG. Group A (n = 22) consisted of patients with normal serum cortisol levels, while Group B (n = 22) comprised individuals with high serum cortisol levels on the first postoperative day. Delirium onset was assessed at the bedside in the ICU on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th postoperative days using standard tools, namely the Richmond Agitation Sedation score (RASS) and The Confusion Assessment Method (CAM-ICU). Data were collected based on the presence or absence of delirium. Statistical analysis utilized SPSS version 26.0, employing an independent Student’s t-test for continuous data and chi-square and Fischer’s exact test for categorical data. A p-value ≤ 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Group-A had a mean age of 54.50 ± 17.97, and Group-B had a mean age of 55.22 ± 15.45, both with a male predominance (81.81% and 86.36% respectively). The mean serum cortisol level was significantly higher in Group B (829.71 ± vs. 389.98 ± 68.77). Postoperative delirium occurred in 27.3% of Group B patients, statistically significant compared to the 4.5% in Group A. However, patients in Group B who developed delirium experienced significantly longer postoperative ICU and hospital stays (79.29 ± 12.27 vs. 11.44 ± 2.85, p ≤ 0.05). Biodiesel production from microalgae depends on algal biomass production through autotrophic cultivation,and it has a lot of potential as a feasible alternative source of *** lethal and mutagenic effects of ethyl methanesulphonate(EMS)are investigated in the present study on the organism Chlorella pyrenoidosa for the generation of paler *** *** wild-type strain was treated with 0.1,0.2,and 0.5 M EMS doses and the colonies that appeared after 20 days of growth on a solid TAP medium were analyzed,and a total of two mutant colonies with less pigmentation were *** CPM1(10.02±0.03 and 3.12±0.04µg/ml)and CPM2(9.55±0.0 and 32.84±0.03µg/ml)mutants had lower chloro-phyll a and b and carotenoids content than wild *** produced significant biomass(1.34-and 1.31-fold enhanced biomass in CPM1 and CPM2)and lipid content than the wild *** findings suggest that genetic modification of *** has the potential to produce strains with increased biomass productivity and lipid content for biofuel production.

The agriculture sector is no exception to the widespread usage of deep learning tools and *** this paper,an automated detection method on the basis of pre-trained Convolutional neural network(Cnn)models is proposed to identify and classify paddy crop biotic stresses from the field *** proposed work also provides the empirical comparison among the leading Cnn models with transfer learning from the Imagenet weights namely,Inception-V3,VGG-16,Resnet-50,Densenet-121 and *** spot,hispa,and leaf blast,three of the most common and destructive paddy crop biotic stresses that occur during the flowering and ripening growth stages are considered for the *** experimental results reveal that the Resnet-50 model achieves the highest average paddy crop stress classification accuracy of 92.61%outperforming the other considered Cnn *** study explores the feasibility of Cnn models for the paddy crop stress identification as well as the applicability of automated methods to non-experts.

Prostate cancer, one of the most frequently occurring cancers in men, is a heterogeneous disease involving multiple cell types within tumors. This tumor heterogeneity at least partly results from genomic instability leading to sub-clonal cellular differentiation. The differentiated cell populations originate from a small subset of cells with tumor-initiating and stem-like properties. These cells, termed prostate cancer stem cells(PCSCs), play crucial roles in disease progression, drug resistance, and relapse. This review discusses the origin, hierarchy, and plasticity of PCSCs;methods for isolation and enrichment of PCSCs;and various cellular and metabolic signaling pathways involved in PCSC induction and maintenance, as well as therapeutic targeting.
