The 18 kDa translocator protein(TSPO)located on the outer mitochondrial membrane regulates several key cellular processes including mitochondrial homeostasis,cholesterol transport,apoptosis,cell proliferation,and maintenance of mitochondrial health(Rupprecht et al.,2022,2023).TSPO is expressed in both peripheral organs and the central nervous system,with a more pronounced expression in tissues that produce *** main reason why TSPO has garnered so much attention is because it plays a key role in neurosteroidogenesis by transferring cholesterol from the outer to the inner mitochondrial membrane,which is the rate-limiting step in neurosteroid synthesis.A cholesterol-recognizing amino acid consensus domain has been identified in the cytosolic C terminus of the TSPO protein by both in vitro and site-directed mutagenesis experiments(Li et al.,2001).However,the role of TSPO in the process of neurosteroid synthesis has been challenged by several studies,particularly TSPO knockout models,which suggest that TSPO removal does not affect the phenotype or the system’s viability(Tu et al.,2014).However,ligands targeting TSPO have been shown to enhance levels of neurosteroids which suggests that neurosteroidogenesis is one of the major functional roles mediated by the TSPO protein.

The sputtering process of Ar＋Ni（100） collision systems is investigated by means of constant energy molecular dynamics simulations. The Ni（100） slab is mimicked by an embedded-atom potential, and the interaction between the projectile and the surface is modelled by using the reparametrized ZBL potential. Ni atom emission from the lattice is analysed over the range of 20-50 eV collision energy. Sputtering yield, angular and energy distributions of the scattered Ar and of the sputtered Ni atoms are calculated, and compared to the available theoretical and experimental data.

Linear thermal expansion coefficient （TEC） of Ti bulk is investigated by means of molecular dynamics simulation. The elastic minimum image convention of periodic boundary conditions is introduced to allow the bulk to adjust its size according to the new fixed temperature. The TEC and the specific heat of Ti are compared to the available theoretical and experimental data.

A new hybrid piezoelectric ultrasonic motor, which consists of one rotor and two stators, was proposed in this paper. In order to match the resonance frequencies of longitudinal vibration and torsional vibration excited in the stators, a symmetrical structure was adopted in design of the motor. A so-called mass matching method, namely adding two rings to the outside circumference of the two stators respectively, was used to adjust the resonance frequencies of these two vibrations. A finite element model was developed using ANSYS software for the purpose of analyzing the resonance frequencies of longitudinal vibration and torsional vibration as well as the function of the adjusting rings. The results show that the resonance frequency of torsional vibration varies with the position of the ring, but the resonance frequency of longitudinal vibration changes little. By means of adjusting the mass and the position of the rings, the first order resonance frequency of longitudinal vibration is coincided with that of torsional vibration and the value is 20.75kHz. An experimental prototype motor was fabricated according to the analytical results and its performance is in agreement with the theoretical predictions. The speed of motor reaches the maximum 92r/min at the working frequency 19.0kHz.

In developing apple fruit,metabolic compartmentation is poorly understood due to the lack of experimental *** subcellular compartments in fruit using non-aqueous fractionation has been technically difficult due to the excess amount of sugars present in the different subcellular compartments limiting the resolution of the *** work described in this study represents the first attempt to apply non-aqueous fractionation to developing apple fruit,covering the major events occurring during fruit development(cell division,cell expansion,and maturation).Here we describe the non-aqueous fractionation method to study the subcellular compartmentation of metabolites during apple fruit development considering three main cellular compartments(cytosol,plastids,and vacuole).Evidence is presented that most of the sugars and organic acids were predominantly located in the vacuole,whereas some of the amino acids were distributed between the cytosol and the *** results showed a shift in the plastid marker from the lightest fractions in the early growth stage to the dense fractions in the later fruit growth *** implies that the accumulation of starch content with progressing fruit development substantially influenced the distribution of plastidial fragments within the non-aqueous density gradient *** from this study provide substantial baseline information on assessing the subcellular compartmentation of metabolites in apple fruit in general and during fruit growth in particular.

Aim:Efficient and readily available anticancer drugs are sought as treatment *** this reason,chromene derivatives were prepared using the one-pot reaction and tested for their anticancer and anti-angiogenic ***:2-Amino-3-cyano-4-(aryl)-7-methoxy-4H-chromene compounds(2A-R)were repurposed or newly synthesized via a three-component reaction of 3-methoxyphenol,various aryl aldehydes,and *** performed assays to study the inhibition of tumor cell growth[3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromid(MTT)assay],effects on microtubules(immunofluorescence),cell cycle(flow-activated cell sorting analysis),angiogenesis(zebrafish model),and MYB activity(luciferase reporter assay).fluorescence microscopy was applied for localization studies via copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne click reaction of an alkyne-tagged drug ***:Compounds 2A-C and 2f exhibited robust antiproliferative activities against several human cancer cell lines(50%inhibitory concentrations in the low nanomolar range)and showed potent MYB *** alkyne derivative 3 was localized in the cytoplasm after only 10 min of *** microtubule disruption and G2/M cell-cycle arrest were observed,where compound 2f stood out as a promising microtubule-disrupting *** study of anti-angiogenic properties showed that 2A was the only candidate with a high potential to inhibit blood vessel formation in ***:The close interplay of various mechanisms,including cell-cycle arrest,MYB inhibition,and anti-angiogenic activity,led to identifying promising multimodal anticancer drug candidates.

We present GalevNB （Galev for N-body simulations）, a utility that converts fundamental stellar properties of N-body simulations into observational properties using the GALEV （GAlaxy EVolutionary synthesis models） package, and allowing direct comparisons between observations and N-body simulations. It works by converting fundamental stellar properties, such as stellar mass, temperature, luminosity and metallicity into observational magnitudes for a variety of filters used by mainstream instruments/telescopes, such as HST, ESO, SDSS, 2MASS, etc., and into spectra that span the range from far-UV （90 A） to near-IR （160 ~tm）. As an application, we use Ga 1 evNB to investigate the secular evolution of the spectral energy distribution （SED） and color magnitude diagram （CMD） of a simulated star cluster over a few hundred million years. With the results given by GalevNB we discover a UV-excess in the SED of the cluster over the whole simulation time. We also identify four candidates that contribute to the fUV peak： core helium burning stars, second asymptotic giant branch （AGB） stars, white dwarfs and naked helium stars.
