Purpose:this study aimed to examine the reliability and validity of load-velocity(L-v)relationship variables obtained through the 2-point method using different load combinations and velocity ***:twenty men performed 2 identical sessions consisting of 2 countermovement jumps against 4 external loads(20 kg,40 kg,60 kg,and80 kg)and a heavy squat against a load linked to a mean velocity(Mv)of 0.55 m/s(load_(0.55)).the L-v relationship variables(load-axis intercept(L_(0)),velocity-axis intercept(v_(0)),and area under the L-v relationship line(A_(line)))were obtained using 3 velocity variables(Mv,mean propulsive velocity(MPv),and peak velocity)by the multiple-point method including(20-40-60-80-load_(0.55))and excluding(20-40-60-80)the heavy squat,as well as from their respective 2-point methods(20-load_(0.55)and 20-80).Results:the L-v relationship variables were obtained with an acceptable reliability(coefncient of variation(Cv)≤7.30%;intra-class correlation coefficient>0.63).the reliability of L_(0)and v_(0)was comparable for both methods(Cv_(ratio)(calculated as higher value/lower value):1.11-1.12),but the multiple-point method provided Al_(ine)with a greater reliability(Cv_(ratio)=1.26).the use of a heavy squat provided the L-v relationship variables with a comparable or higher reliability than the use of a heavy countermovement jump load(Cv_(ratio):1.06-1.19).the peak velocity provided the load-velocity relationship variables with the greatest reliability(Cv_(ratio):1.15-1.86)followed by the Mv(Cv_(ratio):1.07-1.18),and finally the *** 2-point methods only revealed an acceptable validity for the Mv and MPv(effect size≤0.19;Pearson s product-moment correlation coefficient≥0.96;Lin's concordance correlation coefficient≥0.94).Conclusion:the 2-point method obtained from a heavy squat load and Mv or MPv is a quick,safe,and reliable procedure to evaluate the lower-body maximal neuromuscular capacities through the L-v relationship.

the fungus-growing ants （tribe Attini） are a New World group of〉 200 species, all obligate symbionts with a fungus they use for food. Four attine taxa are known to be social parasites of other attines. Acromyrmex （ Pseudoatta） argentina argentina and Acromyrmex （Pseudoatta） argentina platensis （parasites of Acromyrmex lundi）, and Acromyrmex sp. （a parasite of Acromyrmex rugosus） produce no worker caste. In contrast, the recently discovered Acromyrmex insinuator （a parasite of Acromyrmex echinatior） does produce workers. Here, we describe a new species, Acromyrmex ameliae, a social parasite of Acromyrmex subterraneus subterraneus and Acromyrmex subterraneus brunneus in Minas Gerais, Brasil. Like A. insinuator, it produces workers and appears to be closely related to its hosts. Similar social parasites may be fairly common in the fungus-growing ants, but overlooked due to the close resemblance between parasite and host workers.

the identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the AtLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 tev proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the AtLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 Gev and 2 tev and for multiple tagger working points.

Grain Yield and Protein Content of Brazilian Cowpea Genotypes under Diverse Ugandan Environments

twenty nine cowpea genotypes, including four Ugandan genotypes, were evaluated for grain yield, protein stability and adaptability under diverse environments in a randomized complete block design with three replications. the analysis showed that cowpea grain yield and protein content were significantly (P ted by genotypes (G), environments (E), and interaction (G x E). Genotypes C2t and C2I had the highest grain yield and protein content respectively, but both were only adapted to specific environments. Genotypes C1J, C1v, C2A, C2O, and C2R were adapted to three environments with high yield which was stable. Similarly, genotypes BRS Pujante, C1J, C2Q and CIt also expressed high protein levels with high stability and wide adaptability. the study further revealed that Namulonge 2014B, Serere 2014A, Serere 2014B and Serere were the most favorable environments for obtaining high yield and protein respectively, because at these four environments, mean yield and protein were higher than the overall mean. All Brazilian genotypes had high protein levels compared to Ugandan genotypes indicating the potential of Brazilian genotypes in improving cowpea seed protein content in Uganda.

Objective： Describing the characteristics of the MRI （magnetic resonance imaging） of patients with ADD （acquired demyelinating disorder） followed in a specialized pediatric clinic. Methods： Descriptive and retrospective study of the MRIs of a pediatric ADD cohort. the included images were acquired in machines with 1.5 or 3t magnets. Low-quality images were excluded. the radiological characteristics of the lesions were described using the 2010 Revised McDonald Diagnostic Criteria regarding localization, contrast enhancement and optic nerve alterations. Results： twenty-three patients were included （55% female）. the mean age of the first clinical event was 7.7 years. Most common diagnosis was Clinically Isolated Syndrome （35%）, followed by Multiple Sclerosis （30%）, Neuromyelitis Optica （17%） and Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis （17%）. Mean time elapsed until diagnosis was 1.8 years. Follow-up MRIs of ADEM patients showed complete or partial resolution of lesions; MS lesions were mostly localized in the brain and four patients had contrast enhancement of lesions in their last available MRI. All NMO （neuromyelitis optica） patients had extensive spinal lesions, and two had optic neuritis. All patients with CIS （clinically isolated syndrome） had focal spinal lesions and evolved with radiologic improvement. Conclusions： ADEM and CIS patients＇ MRIs showed lesion reduction, while MS and NMO patients developed new lesions during follow-up.
