This.paper inves.igates.the s.litary wave s.lutions.of the (2+1)-dimens.onal regularized long-wave (2DRLG) equation which is.aris.ng in the inves.igation of the Ros.by waves.in rotating flows.and the drift waves.in plas.as.and (2+1) dimens.onal Davey-s.ewarts.n (Ds. equation which is.governing the dynamics.of weakly nonlinear modulation of a lattice wave packet in a multidimens.onal lattice. By us.ng extended mapping method technique, we have s.own that the 2DRLG-2DDs.equations.can be reduced to the elliptic-like equation. Then, the extended mapping method is.us.d to obtain a s.ries.of s.lutions.including the s.ngle and the combined non degenerative Jacobi elliptic function s.lutions.and their degenerative s.lutions.to the above mentioned clas. of nonlinear partial differential equations.(NLPDEs..

Us.ng renewable fuels.for dies.l engines.can reduce both air pollution and dependence on fos.il fuels.A computer s.mulation was.cons.ructed to predict the performance,combus.ion characteris.ics.and NOx emis.ions.of a dies.l engine fuelled with dies.l-biodies.l-butanol *** s.mulation was.validated by comparing the modelling res.lts.agains. experimental data and a good agreement between the res.lts.was.*** fuels.us.d for the validation were dies.l(B0),biodies.l(B100),dies.l-biodies.l blend(B50),and two dies.l-biodies.l-butanol blends.with 45%dies.l-45%biodies.l-10%butanol(Bu10)and 40%dies.l-40%biodies.l-20%butanol(Bu20)by *** res.lts.s.owed that the addition of butanol reduced NOx emis.ions.but deteriorated the engine *** aim of the current work was.the numerical optimization of the different parameters.to enhance the engine performance while us.ng butanol to decreas. NOx *** engine compres.ion ratio(CR)varied from 14 to 24,in increments.of *** injection timing(IT)was.reduced from 30°before top dead centre(bTDC)to 5°bTDC in increments.of 5°.Als.,the fuel injection duration(IDur)was.extended from 20°to 50°in increments.of 10°.Res.lts.s.owed that the increas. in the CR improved engine performance for the two inves.igated fuels.Bu10 and *** maximum engine brake power(BP),thermal efficiency(BTE),and minimum brake-s.ecific fuel cons.mption(Bs.C)of 1.46 kW,32.3%,and 0.273 kg/kWh res.ectively,were obtained when the Bu10 fuel was.injected under the optimum conditions.of 24 CR,15°bTDC IT,and 40°*** thes. optimum conditions.the BP,BTE,and Bs.C improved by 3%-3.5%for Bu10 and Bu20 fuel blends.compared with the bas. engine conditions.of a CR of 22,30°IDur,and 10°bTDC *** heat releas. rate during the premixed phas. increas.d when the IT was.advanced,while the mixing-controlled combus.ion phas. was.enhanced when the IT was.*** emis.ions.increas.d with increas.ng CR,while both an increas. in IDur at con
