The Program of Cocinas Comunitarias in the state of Oaxaca,Mexico benefits children aged 6 to 12 who attend primary education schools in low-income *** is hoped that this food assistance program will allow children to learn better and develop learning *** this way,a significant reduction in the grade failure rates and dropout rates is expected,which will be reflected in a higher graduation efficiency *** fact,the contribution of this work consists of a methodology for the analysis of the impact of the food subsidy on the academic performance of low-income primary education *** this sense,a multivariate model was constructed to analyze the interrelationships between grade failure,dropout,graduation efficiency rates,food subsidy,and the socio-demographic characteristics of the population that attends primary *** Mexican government expects from this program that the more low-income children complete primary education,the more likely that a higher number of adolescents will complete high school *** scheme is very important for the country’s half population living in poverty and especially in Oaxaca State which is one of poorest states.

Violence against university students and among them is analyzed on campus and the household as well as the relationships of violence between these two social *** study was undertaken through an anonymous random survey in the two larger public universities in a Mexican medium-sized *** violence and types of violence-verbal,psychological,sexual,and physical-were evaluated by sex and by universities;and the aggressors were identified.A students’concept of violence was built,considering causes of intimate-partner violence,violence in general and ethical judgment on gender ***,it was measured the relationships between violence on campus and in the household using bivariate statistical *** indicate the main aggressors on campus are classmates and professors,whereas in the household are the mother,relatives together with the parents and relatives without the ***-campus,there were found statistically significant associations between professors-aggressors and students as victims of violence by *** the household,the bivariate analysis confirmed mothers as single aggressors and fathers exerting violence together with relatives against student-children;and direct relationships between on-campus(psychological and sexual violence)and domestic(physical and sexual violence).

The purpose of this article is to contribute to the analysis of subjective well-being in the cities of Mexico through the theoretical formalization and empirical verification of a quantitative *** variables come from the constructs of the self-reported well-being module(BIARE);and they are called:overall satisfaction with life,sense of fullness,affect balance,and satisfaction *** equations were constructed using ordinary least squares regression with the BIARE databases of 2014 and *** analysis of the behavior pattern of variables conduced to findings of urban society’s expectations of well-being and concerns in the period *** quality of life-and-self-realization and overall satisfaction with life have the greatest weight in the model ***,it was determined that emotional balance and citizen security condition the ***,a relevant finding was that religion restricts the sense of fulness since it represents a well-being project with an opposite logic.

The pool of microbes inhabiting our body is known as “microbiota” and their collective genomes as “microbiome”. The colon is the most densely populated organ in the human body, although other parts, such as the skin, vaginal mucosa, or respiratory tract, also harbour specific microbiota. This microbial community regulates some important metabolic and physiological functions of the host, and drives the maturation of the immune system in early life, contributing to its homeostasis during life. Alterations of the intestinal microbiota can occur by changes in composition (dysbiosis), function, or microbiota-host interactions and they can be directly correlated with several diseases. The only disease in which a clear causal role of a dysbiotic microbiota has been demonstrated is the case of Clostridium difficile infections. Nonetheless, alterations in composition and function of the microbiota have been associated with several gastrointestinal diseases (inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, or irritable bowel syndrome), as well as extra-intestinal pathologies, such as those affecting the liver, or the respiratory tract (e.g., allergy, bronchial asthma, and cystic fibrosis), among others. Species of Bifidobacterium genus are the normal inhabitants of a healthy human gut and alterations in number and composition of their populations is one of the most frequent features present in these diseases. The use of probiotics, including bifidobacteria strains, in preventive medicine to maintain a healthy intestinal function is well documented. Probiotics are also proposed as therapeutic agents for gastrointestinal disorders and other pathologies. A micro- and mesoporous carbon obtained from cherry pit waste and activated with HBPO4 acid has been studied as the sulfur host for Li/S batteries. The carbon has a high specific surface area of 1,662 m2·g-1 （SBET） and micropore and mesopore volumes of 0.57 and 0.40 cm3·g-1, respectively. The S/C composite, with a sulfur content of 57% deposited by the disproportionate reaction of a SaO2- solution in an acid medium without an additional heating step above the S melting point, delivers an initial specific capacity of 1,148 mah·g-1 at a current of C/16. It also has a high capacity retention of 915 mAh·g-1 after 100 cycles and a Coulombic efficiency close to 100%. The good performance of the composite was also observed under higher current rates and long-term cycling tests. The capacities delivered by the cell after 200 cycles were 707 and 410 mAh·g-1 at C/2 and 1C （1C = 1,675 mA·g-1）, respectively, maintaining the high Coulombic efficiency. The overall electrochemical response of this carbon as the sulfur matrix is among the best reported so far among the other biomass-derived carbons, probably because of the micro- and mesopore system formed upon activation.

This paper highlights the main features of the economy of rural households in Mexico and analyzes their strategiesto entry in local and global markets. It built a model of household economies using ordinary least squaresregression with data collected through a probabilistic survey in four communities. Especial care was taken to avoidmulticollinearity problems. The study communities are situated in Oaxaca state, Mexico in two contrasting climaticenvironments that present different conditions to access the markets. The resulting model not only identifies thehouseholds＇ market strategies but also measures the impact of households＇ decision-making about allocation ofresources on the household wellbeing. Contrary to the discourse on Mexico-US migration, this paper shows that therural households＇ labor for international migration is shrinking. A process of diversification of income sources isalready going on in rural areas, therefore, households rely increasingly on wages, family businesses, andgovernment transfers; besides, they complement their income with subsistence production and transfers from otherhouseholds. Finally, it was found that in some cases the simultaneous allocation of material and socio-demographicresources to economic activities and labor markets could restrict the increase in household wellbeing if thedemographic structure is already altered.

Objective:To assess the relaxant effect of several organic extracts obtained from Agastache mexicana(***),Cochlospermum vitifolium(***),Cordia morelosana(***),Lepechinia caulescens(***)and Talauma mexicana(71 mexicana)used in Mexican traditional medicine for the treatment of several ***:Extracts were obtained by maceration at room temperature using hexane,dicliloromethane and methanol for each plant *** organic extracts were evaluated ex vivo to determine their relaxant activity on the contractions induced by carbaehol(cholinergic receptor agonist,1μmol/L in isolated rat tracheal ***:A total of 15 extracts were evaluated(three for each species).All test samples showed significant relaxant effect,in a concentration-dependent manner,on the contractions induced by 1μmol/L carbachol,with exception of extracts from *** extracts were less potent than theophylline[phosphodiesterase inhibitor,EC_(50):(28.79±0.82)μg/mL]that was used as positive ***-response curves revealed that the extracts with more significant effects were dichloromethanic extracts of ***[E_(max):(103.03±3.32)%and EC_(50):(159.39±3.72)μg/mL)and ***[Emax:(106.58±2.42)%and EC_(50):(219.54±7.61)μg/mL].Finally,hexanic and dichloromethanic extracts from *** were fully effective but less potent than ***,and ***:Less polar extracts obtained from ***,71 mexicana and *** exhibited greater relaxant effect on tracheal rat rings,which allows us to suggest them as sources for the isolation of bioactive molecules with potential therapeutic value in the treatment of asthma.

We have designed and evaluated a radial-flow bioreactor for three-dimensional liver carcinoma cell culture on a new porous coated *** designed a culture chamber where a radial flow of culture medi-um was continuously delivered through *** this system was established,flow was simulated using flow dy-namics software based on numeric methods to solve Navier-Stockes flow *** within cell culture scaffolds was simulated using a flow velocity of 7 mL/min and found that cell culture medium was distributed unhindered in the bioreactor ***,the bioreactor was built according to the simulated design and was tested with liver carcinoma cells(Hepg2)cultured over an L-polylactic acid scaffold whose surface was modified with iodine-doped *** bioreactor was tested under non-flow and in radial flow *** density under radial flow conditions was almost double than that under static conditions and both total protein and albumin output was also increased under radial flow conditions.
