electric vehicles(EVs)are becoming more p.p.lar worldwide due to environmental concerns,fuel security,and p.ice *** p.rformance of EVs relies on the energy stored in their batteries,which can be charged using either AC(slow)or DC(fast)***,EVs can also be used as mobile p.wer storage devices using vehicle-to-grid(V2G)*** electronic converters(p.Cs)have a constructive role in EV ap.lications,both in charging EVs and in ***,this p.p.r comp.ehensively investigates the state of the art of EV charging top.logies and p.C solutions for EV *** examines p.Cs from the p.int of view of their classifications,configurations,control ap.roaches,and future research p.osp.cts and their imp.cts on p.wer *** can be classified into various top.logies:DC-DC converters,AC-DC converters,DC-AC converters,and AC-AC *** address the limitations of traditional DC-DC converters such as switching losses,size,and high-electromagnetic interference(EMI),resonant converters and multip.rt converters are being used in high-voltage EV ***,p.wer-train converters have been modified for high-efficiency and reliability in EV *** p.p.r offers an overview of charging top.logies,p.Cs,challenges with solutions,and future trends in the field of the EV charging station ap.lications.

electrical Conductivity of Sintered Chromia Mixed with TiO_2,CuO and Mn-Oxides

The electrical conductivity of sintered Cr2O3 mixed with 2% and 5% （in molar fraction） TiO2 or CuO was investigated in the temp.rature range 500-900℃ in air and in At/4 vol. p.t H2 atmosp.eres. The effect of different Mn-oxides on the electrical conductivity of Cr2O3 was also studied under the same conditions. from the conductivity measurements it is established that additions of TiO2 change the defect structure of Cr2O3 and the effect of TiO2 on the electrical conductivity is controlled by TiO2 concentration as well as temp.rature and O2 p.rtial p.essure of the surrounding atmosp.ere. The conductivity of Cr2O3 increased in air and decreased in the At/H2 atmosp.ere by CuO additions. The effect of CuO was discussed with p.ssible changes in the defect concentration in Cr2O3. Mixing of Cr2O3 with different Mn-oxides at the same Mn to metal atom fraction decreased the conductivity in air and in Ar/H2 atmosp.eres. No clear correlation between the sp.nel fraction and the changes in conductivity could be found.

Background Retinop.thy of p.ematurity(ROp.is generally considered to be more frequent in males than in ***,it is not known whether sex differences in ROp.affect all degrees of the condition,are global and have changed as neonatology has *** aimed to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies addressing sex differences in the risk of develop.ng *** p.bMed/MEDLINE and Embase databases were *** frequentist,random-effects risk ratio(RR)and 95%confidence interval(CI)were *** model averaged(BMA)meta-analysis was used to calculate the Bayes factors(Bfs).The Bf10 is the ratio of the p.obability of the data under the alternative hyp.thesis(H1)over the p.obability of the data under the null hyp.thesis(H0).Results We included 205 studies(867,252 infants).frequentist meta-analysis showed a p.sitive association between male sex and severe ROp.113 studies,RR=1.14,95%CI=1.07–1.22)but no association with any ROp.144 studies,RR=1.00,95%CI=0.96–1.03).BMA showed extreme evidence in favor of H1 for severe ROp.Bf10=71,174)and strong evidence in favor of H0 for any ROp.Bf10=0.05).The association between male sex and severe ROp.remained stable over time and was p.esent only in cohorts from countries with a high or high-middle sociodemograp.ic *** Our study confirms the p.esence of a male disadvantage in severe ROp.but not in less severe forms of the *** are variations in the sex differences in ROp.dep.nding on geograp.ical location and sociodemograp.ic level of the countries.

Wettability,reactivity,and interface structure in Mg/Ni system

The sessile drop.method was ap.lied to the exp.rimental investigation of the wetting and sp.eading behaviors of liquid Mg drop. on p.re Ni *** comp.rison,the exp.riments were p.rformed in two variants:(1)using the Cap.llary p.rification(Cp.p.ocedure,which allows the non-contact heating and squeezing of a p.re oxide-free Mg drop.(2)by classical Contact Heating(CH)*** high-temp.rature tests were p.rformed under isothermal conditions(Cp.760℃for 30 s;CH:715℃for 300 s)using Ar+5 wt%H_(2) *** the sessile drop.tests,images of the Mg/Ni coup.es were recorded by CCD cameras(57 fp.),which were then ap.lied to calculate the contact angles of metal/substrate *** and transmission electron microscop. analyses,both coup.ed with energy-disp.rsive X-ray sp.ctroscop.,were used for detailed structural characterization of the solidified *** was found that an oxide-free Mg drop.obtained by the Cp.p.ocedure showed a wetting p.enomenon on the Ni substrate(an average contact angleθfollowed by fast sp.eading and good wetting over the Ni substrate(θ_((Cp.)~20°in 5 s)to form a final contact angle ofθ_(f(Cp.)~18°.In contrast,a different wetting behavior was observed for the CH p.ocedure,where the unavoidable p.imary oxide film on the Mg surface blocked the sp.eading of liquid Mg showing ap.arently non-wetting behavior after 300 s contact at the test ***,in both cases,the deep.craters formed in the Ni substrates under the Mg drop. and significant change in the structure of initially p.re Mg drop. to Mg-Ni alloys suggest a strong dissolution of Ni in liquid Mg and ap.arent values of the final contact angles measured for the Mg/Ni system.

Laser p.asma accelerators(Lp.s)enable the generation of intense and short p.oton bunches on a micrometre scale,thus offering new exp.rimental cap.bilities to research fields such as ultra-high dose rate radiobiology or material *** sp.ctrally broadband,laser-accelerated p.oton bunches allow for tailored volumetric dose dep.sition in a samp.e via single bunches to excite or p.obe sp.cific samp.e *** rising number of such exp.riments indicates a need for diagnostics p.oviding sp.tially resolved characterization of dose distributions with volumes of ap.roximately 1 cm^(3) for single p.oton bunches to allow for fast online *** we p.esent the scintillator-based miniSCIDOM detector for online single-bunch tomograp.ic reconstruction of dose distributions in volumes of up.to ap.roximately 1 cm^(3).The detector achieves a sp.tial resolution below 500μm and a sensitivity of 100 *** detector p.rformance is tested at a p.oton therap. cyclotron and an Lp. p.oton *** exp.riments’p.imary focus is the characterization of the scintillator’s ionization quenching behaviour.
