This study introduces an innovative approach to optimize cloud computing job distribution using the Improved Dynamic Johnson Sequencing Algorithm(DJS).Emphasizing on-demand resource sharing,typical to Cloud Service Providers(CSPs),the research focuses on minimizing job completion delays through efficient task *** Johnson’s rule from operations research,the study addresses the challenge of resource availability post-task *** advocates for queuing models with multiple servers and finite capacity to improve job scheduling models,subsequently reducing wait times and queue *** Dynamic Johnson Sequencing Algorithm and the M/M/c/K queuing model are applied to optimize task sequences,showcasing their efficacy through comparative *** research evaluates the impact of makespan calculation on data file transfer times and assesses vital performance indicators,ultimately positioning the proposed technique as superior to existing approaches,offering a robust framework for enhanced task scheduling and resource allocation in cloud computing.

This study proposes a novel nature-inspired meta-heuristic optimizer based on the Reptile Search Algorithm combed with Salp Swarm Algorithm for image segmentation using gray-scale multi-level thresholding,called *** proposed method introduces a better search space to find the optimal solution at each ***,we proposed RSA-SSA to avoid the searching problem in the same area and determine the optimal multi-level *** obtained solutions by the proposed method are represented using the image *** proposed RSA-SSA employed Otsu’s variance class function to get the best threshold values at each *** performance measure for the proposed method is valid by detecting fitness function,structural similarity index,peak signal-to-noise ratio,and Friedman ranking *** benchmark images of COVID-19 validate the performance of the proposed *** results showed that the proposed RSA-SSA outperformed other metaheuristics optimization algorithms published in the literature.

In cognitive radio networks(CoR),the performance of cooperative spectrum sensing is improved by reducing the overall error rate or maximizing the detection *** optimization methods are usually used to optimize the number of user-chosen for cooperation and the threshold ***,these methods do not take into account the effect of sample size and its effect on improving CoR *** general,a large sample size results in more reliable detection,but takes longer sensing time and increases ***,the locally sensed sample size is an optimization ***,optimizing the local sample size for each cognitive user helps to improve CoR *** this study,two new methods are proposed to find the optimum sample size to achieve objective-based improved(single/double)threshold energy detection,these methods are the optimum sample size N^(*)and neural networks(NN)*** the evaluation,it was found that the proposed methods outperform the traditional sample size selection in terms of the total error rate,detection probability,and throughput.

This paper proposes a modified version of the Dwarf Mongoose Optimization Algorithm (IDMO) for constrained engineering design problems. This optimization technique modifies the base algorithm (DMO) in three simple but effective ways. First, the alpha selection in IDMO differs from the DMO, where evaluating the probability value of each fitness is just a computational overhead and contributes nothing to the quality of the alpha or other group members. The fittest dwarf mongoose is selected as the alpha, and a new operator ω is introduced, which controls the alpha movement, thereby enhancing the exploration ability and exploitability of the IDMO. Second, the scout group movements are modified by randomization to introduce diversity in the search process and explore unvisited areas. Finally, the babysitter's exchange criterium is modified such that once the criterium is met, the babysitters that are exchanged interact with the dwarf mongoose exchanging them to gain information about food sources and sleeping mounds, which could result in better-fitted mongooses instead of initializing them afresh as done in DMO, then the counter is reset to zero. The proposed IDMO was used to solve the classical and CEC 2020 benchmark functions and 12 continuous/discrete engineering optimization problems. The performance of the IDMO, using different performance metrics and statistical analysis, is compared with the DMO and eight other existing algorithms. In most cases, the results show that solutions achieved by the IDMO are better than those obtained by the existing algorithms.

Background:Electronic Health Record(EHR)systems are used as an efficient and effective technique for sharing patient’s health records among different hospitals and various other key stakeholders of the healthcare industry to achieve better diagnosis and treatment of patients ***,the existing EHR systems mostly lack in providing appropriate security,entrusted access control and handling privacy and secrecy issues and challenges in current hospital ***:To solve this delicate problem,we propose a Blockchain-enabled Hyperledger Fabric Architecture for different EHR ***:In our EHR blockchain system,Peer nodes from various organizations(stakeholders)create a ledger network,where channels are created to enable secure and private communication between different stakeholders on the ledger *** patients and other stakeholders are identified and registered on the network by unique digital certificates issued by membership service provider(MSP)component of the fabric ***:We created and implemented different Chaincodes to handle the business logic for executing separate EHR transactions on the *** proposed fabric architecture provides a secure,transparent and immutable mechanism to store,share and exchange EHRs in a peer-to-peer network of different healthcare *** ensures interoperability,scalability and availability in adapting the existing EHRs for strengthening and providing an effective and secure method to integrate and manage patient records among medical institutions in the healthcare ecosystem.

One of the most difficult jobs in the post-genomic age is identifying a genetic disease from a massive amount of genetic ***,the complicated genetic disease has a very diverse genotype,making it challenging to find genetic *** is a challenging process since it must be completed effectively and *** research article focuses largely on which patients are more likely to have a genetic disorder based on numerous medical *** the patient’s medical history,we used a genetic disease prediction algorithm that predicts if the patient is likely to be diagnosed with a genetic *** predict and categorize the patient with a genetic disease,we utilize several deep and machine learning techniques such as Artificial neural network(ANN),K-nearest neighbors(KNN),and Support vector machine(SVM).To enhance the accuracy of predicting the genetic disease in any patient,a highly efficient approach was utilized to control how the model can be *** predict genetic disease,deep and machine learning approaches are *** most productive tool model provides more precise *** simulation results demonstrate that by using the proposed model with the ANN,we achieve the highest model performance of 85.7%,84.9%,84.3%accuracy of training,testing and validation *** approach will undoubtedly transform genetic disorder prediction and give a real competitive strategy to save patients’lives.

Today’s rapid proliferation of information and technological advancements has led to complex and uncertain modern systems *** problems resulting from this increased complexity may surpass engineers’current capacity to perform effectively within the domain of complex *** response to this situation,the concept of Systems Thinking(ST)has been advanced as an aid to building a mental map that offers a robust conceptual understanding to offset the challenges of modern system of systems(SoS)*** there has been some research regarding the effect of age and gender on ST preferences,there is still a lack of studies investigating how an individual’s ST skills preferences in system of systems(SoS)domain vary across educational *** addition,most of the extant literature focuses on one or two measures to assess the individual ST;thus,there is a need to include the full spectrum of ST measures to assess the ST skills preferences of an individual in the domain of complex *** address these gaps,this research uses an established ST skills preferences instrument to gauge an individual’s ST skills preferences in the SoS domain based on the educational *** hundred and fifty-eight participants with educational qualifications ranging from non-degree to graduate degree participated in the *** analysis of the responses was performed by a post-hoc test to show which groups differ *** the results obtained through aggregate individual responses,we conclude that each group(i.e bachelor,masters and phD),possesses a different ST skills preference profile on average,and the educational qualifications in the SoS environment has a moderation impact on individuals’system skills preferences.

Influence of Air Pollution on the Deterioration of Monuments and Museum Collections

The time has come to recognize the extreme importance of the archaeological sites in Jordan. They provide a wealth evidence and precise information regarding ancient civilizations and cultures. The safeguarding of this cultural heritage is one of the most urgent priorities, that involve the proper conservation and preservation methods of all artifacts and buildings that have an important artistic and historic value. Conservation is a whole field in regarding the care and treatment of valuable artifacts, both movable and immovable. It has two aspects：（1） the control of the environment--to minimize the decay of artifacts and materials and （2） the treatment of these--in order to stop or slow down any deterioration and to stabilize them where possible against further dilapidation. The museum environment is a limited space dedicated not only to exhibition but also to the appropriate conservation of works of art. This article presents an overview of the types of damage and deterioration that air pollution causes to indoor cultural heritage materials and monuments. It identifies the main damaging air pollutants from outdoor sources to be sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone and sulphide gases.
