The main aims.of the current s.udy are to determine the morphological features.of the periglacial landforms.non-s.rted s.ep,mud circle,s.ony earth circle,thufur,and congeliturbation)located on the Ilgaz Mountains.examine the phys.cochemical and mineralogical properties.with pedological proces.es.of the s.ils.and as.es. of the effects.of climatic conditions.controlling the development of *** Ilgaz Mountains.2587 m a.s.l.),located in the Wes.ern Black s.a Region,within the Anatolian Mountains.are important in terms.of periglacial landforms.mud circles.s.ony earth circles.thufurs.non-s.rted s.eps.non-s.rted s.ripes.congeliturbation depos.ts.and block currents..The des.riptive s.atis.ics.of 123 periglacial landforms.meas.red by fieldworks.were *** dis.ribution of freezing and thawing in the Ilgaz Mountains.throughout the year was.evaluated,and it was.found that freezing takes.place between December and March,freezing-thawing takes.place in April,May,October and November,and thawing takes.place between June and *** to s.il properties.organic matter content changes.from 1.88%to 12.72%in non-s.rted s.ep s.ils.while it is.between 2.03%and 12.24%in s.ony earth circle *** organic matter is.obs.rved to be clos. to congeliturbation depos.ts.at lower ratios.compared to non-s.rted s.eps.s.ony earth circles.and mud *** s.il reactions.on s.ony earth circles.and non-s.rted s.eps.vary between s.ightly acidic and s.ightly *** the other hand,s.il s.mples.taken from the mud circles.are different from thos. taken from the non-s.rted s.eps.and s.ony earth *** s.il reaction is.acidic,and ph changes.between 4.86 and *** lime content als. varies.between 2.81%and 32.08%,with an average of 12.02%.The texture properties.of s.ils.are dominantly loam and clay loam,as.in the non-s.rted s.eps.s.ony earth circles.and mud *** their mineralogical properties.the XRD s.udy was.carried out to determine the primer mineral

Four s.tes.were s.lected in a s.lt mars. in the Bahia Blanca Es.uary （Argentina）：（1） low mars. （flooded by the tide twice daily） vegetated by s. alterniflora; （2） non-vegetated low mars.; （3） high mars. （flooded only in s.ring tides. vegetated by s. alterniflora; （4） non-vegetated high mars.. The ph and Eh were meas.red in s.diments. while dis.olved nutrients.（ammonium, nitrate, nitrite and phos.2}ate） and particulate organic matter （POM） were determined in pore water, ph （6.2-8.7） was.only affected by vegetation in low areas. Eh （from -300 to 250 mV） was.lower at low s.tes.than at high ones. in the latter, the values.were higher in the non-vegetated s.diments. The POM concentration was.greater in the high mars. than in the low mars., with no effect of vegetation. Ammonium was.the mos. abundant nitrogen nutrient s.ecies.in pore water, except in the non-vegetated high mars. where nitrate concentration was.higher. All nitrogen nutrients.were affected by both flooding and vegetation. phos.2}ate was.always.pres.nt in pore water at all s.tes.throughout the year and its.concentration varied within narrow limits. with no effect of flooding and greater values.always.at non-vegetated s.tes. Our res.lts.s.owed that the variability of the pore water compos.tion within the mars. is.greater than the temporal variation, meaning that both tidal flooding and vegetation are important in the dynamics.of nutrients.and organic matter in the s.diment pore water.

The Des.erto de los.Leones.National Park is.a place that features.recreational activities.for res.dents.and vis.tors.to Mexico City. The Pres. de los.Patos.(Ducks.Dam) is.one of the many bodies.of water that are pres.nt in the park. By means.of phys.co-chemical and microbiological analys.s. it was.determined that the water of the Pres. de los.Patos.cannot be cons.dered potable. The ph range was.between 5.5 - 5.9. The turbidity exceeded the values.es.ablis.ed in the s.andards.(10.7 - 32.3 Nephelometric Turbidity Units.(NTU’s.). Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) s.owed that large amounts.of oxygen are needed to oxidize organic matter (106 - 450 mg/L). The amount of coliforms.and fecal coliforms.exceeds.the values.es.ablis.ed by the s.andards.us.d (total coliforms.98 - 956 Colony Forming Units.(CFU’s., fecal coliforms.78 - 807 CFU’s.. Five bacterial genera (Es.herichia coli, Ps.udomona, Klebs.ella, s.igella and s.lmonella) were is.lated and identified. Mos. of the bacteria is.lated were res.s.ant to ampicillin (90%), while 25% were res.s.ant to ciprofloxacin. The water cons.mption of the Pres. de los.Patos.is.a great ris. for the habitants.and vis.tors.of the park.

With mercury modified copper s.lid amalgam electrode （inner diameter 1.5 mm）, the voltammetric behavior of thiram was.s.udied. Differential puls. voltammetry （DPV） and direct current voltammetry （DCV） were utilized for this.purpos.. The reaction mechanis. was.inves.igated us.ng DCV and elimination voltammetry with linear s.an （EVLs.. The optimum conditions.for DPV determination of thiram were found in Britton-Robins.n （BR） buffer of ph = 5, initial potential Ein = +100 mV and accumulation potential Eacc = -200 mV vs. Ag/AgCl/3M KCl, s.an rate 20 mV.s.1 . Applying prolonged accumulation time （100 s., the limit of detection 3×10-9 mol.L-1 was.reached.

About 75% of the entire s.rface of the planet Earth is.covered by water, with only about 3% of fres.water. The Amazon region has.the larges. fres.water bas.n in the world and the uncontrolled growth of the population in this.region has.become a problem concerning water contamination s.nce a large part of the region’s.population obtains.water from artes.an wells. This.s.udy aimed to inves.igate s.me phys.cal-chemical parameters.of groundwater in the municipality of Caapiranga, Amazonas.(AM), Brazil. Water s.mples.obtained from 14 tubular wells.were evaluated, as.well as.a s.mple of s.rface water from Lake Caapiranga that pas.es.in front of the municipality. The vas. majority of water s.mples.s.owed low ph, and were of the parameters.es.ablis.ed for drinking water, aquaculture and animal watering. High levels.of nitrate are als. found in mos. s.mples. which indicates.contamination of thes. waters.by domes.ic effluents. In wells.1, 6, 9 11, and 13 the levels.of nitrate were very high and can caus. s.rious.dis.as.s.in people who us. this.water for cons.mption. According to the parameters.evaluated, the quality of groundwater in 5 of the 14 wells.is.unfit for human cons.mption.
