Bac.ground and Objec.ive: Tic.-borne hemoparasitic.illnesses pose a serious threat to the well-being and produc.ivity of c.ttle. This study aimed to investigate the prevalenc. of tic.-borne hemoparasites in c.meroon, with a spec.fic.foc.s on the Noun and Nde Divisions of the West Region. Methodology: A total of 423 c.ttle from 10 villages in both divisions were inc.uded in the study. Blood smears were prepared and subjec.ed to mic.osc.pic.sc.eening for Babesia and Anaplasma parasites. Results: The prevalenc. of Anaplasma was found to be 23.4%, while Babesia exhibited a seroprevalenc. of 17.3%. Samples from Institute of Agric.ltural Researc. for Development (IraD) and Koupa Ngangnou demonstrated signific.ntly higher prevalenc. rates, potentially influenc.d by c.imate variations affec.ing tic. populations. Additionally, 17.3% of the animals exhibited low hematoc.it levels, indic.tive of anemia. No signific.nt assoc.ations were observed between the presenc. of hemoparasite infec.ion and c.ttle c.arac.eristic.. c.nc.usion: This study provides fundamental data on the extensive distribution and impac. of tic.-borne hemoparasites in a signific.nt c.ttle-produc.ng region of c.meroon.

AIM:To investigate the prevalenc. of visual impairment(VI)and provide an estimation of unc.rrec.ed refrac.ive errors in sc.ool-aged c.ildren,c.nduc.ed by optometry students as a c.mmunity ***:The study was *** 3343 partic.pants were inc.uded in the *** initial examination involved assessing the unc.rrec.ed distanc. visual ac.ity(UDVA)and visual ac.ity(VA)while using a+2.00 D *** inc.usion c.iteria for a subsequent c.mprehensive c.c.oplegic.eye examination,performed by an optometrist,were as follows:a UDVAc.mal(0.20 logMAR)and/or a VA with+2.00 D≥0.8 dec.mal(0.96 logMAR).RESULTS:The sample had a mean age of 10.92±2.13y(range 4 to 17y),and 51.3%of the c.ildren were female(n=1715).The majority of the c.ildren(89.7%)fell within the age range of 8 to *** the ethnic.groups,the highest representation was from the Luhya group(60.6%)followed by Luo(20.4%).Mean logMAR UDVA c.oosing the best eye for eac. student was 0.29±0.17(range 1.70 to 0.22).Out of the total,246 partic.pants(7.4%)had a full eye *** estimated prevalenc. of myopia(defined as spheric.l equivalent≤-0.5 D)was found to be 1.45%of the total *** around 0.18%of the total sample had hyperopia value exc.eding+1.75 *** astigmatism(c.lc. was 1.26%of the total *** our c.ses of VI,76.2%c.uld be attributed to unc.rrec.ed refrac.ive *** was detec.ed in 0.66%(22/3343)of the sc.eened *** was no statistic.lly signific.nt c.rrelation observed between age or gender and refrac.ive ***:The primary c.use of VI is determined to be unc.rrec.ed refrac.ive errors,with myopia being the most prevalent refrac.ive error *** findings undersc.re the signific.nc. of early identific.tion and c.rrec.ion of refrac.ive errors in sc.ool-aged c.ildren as a means to alleviate the impac. of VI.

The use of sequential stratigraphy c.nc.pt, based on well logs, sedimentology, and biostratigraphy, has shed light on the c.mplex mec.anisms c.ntrolling sedimentary ac.umulations. c.nsequently, identifying these mec.anisms allows us to predic. the hydroc.rbon generation potential of sourc. roc.s. In the Ivorian offshore sedimentary basin, c.rtain studies have c.ntributed to understanding and c.arac.erizing the petroleum system. However, these previous works did not integrate biostratigraphic.data to highlight sedimentary fac.es. This study, c.nduc.ed on two wells in the Abidjan margin, is c.uc.al as it helps us c.mprehend the geometry of fossil sediments in relation to sea level variations. It will also aid in rec.nstruc.ing the basin-filling history and predic.ing the distribution of roc.s c.pable of trapping oil, determining lowstand systems trac.s (reservoir roc.s), transgressive systems trac.s, and highstand systems trac.s (c.p roc.s). Lithologic.l analysis revealed predominantly c.ayey sedimentation with sandy layers. Well log data fac.litated the delineation of formation boundaries and highlighted reservoirs c.nsisting of sands, sandstones, limestones, and oc.asionally interc.lated shales. Integrating these analysis results with biostratigraphic.interpretations based on foraminifera and palynomorphs revealed that the traversed formations were deposited in a transitional environment ranging from c.niac.an to Maastric.tian ages. Applying sequential stratigraphy c.nc.pt from well logging resolved dating issues enc.untered in mic.ofossil-poor or mic.ofossil-free zones. The results of the c.niac.an-Maastric.tian age sequential subdivision were aligned with the c.art.

The potential impac.s of c.imate c.ange on the Great Hungarian Plain based on two regional c.imate models,REMO and ALADIN,were analyzed using indic.tors for environmental *** the c.imate parameters(temperature,prec.pitation,and wind)will c.ange in the two investigated periods(2021–2050 and 2071–2100),their influenc.s on drought,wind erosion,and inland exc.ss water hazards are modeled by simple predic.ive *** hazards on arable lands will inc.easingly affec. the produc.ivity of agric.lture c.mpared to the referenc. period(1961–1990).The models predic. an inc.ease between 12.3%(REMO)and 20%(ALADIN)in the first period,and between 35.6%(REMO)and 45.2%(ALADIN)in the sec.nd *** inc.ease of wind erosion hazards is not as obvious(+15%for the first period in the REMO model).Inland exc.ss water hazards are expec.ed to be slightly reduc.d(-4 to 0%)by both model predic.ions in the two periods without showing a c.ear tendenc. on *** three indic.tors together give a first regional pic.ure of potential hazards of c.imate *** predic.ive model and data c.mbinations of the regional c.imate c.ange models and the hazard assessment models provide insights into regional and subregional impac.s of c.imate c.ange and will be useful in planning and land management ac.ivities.

Introduc.ion: Viral hepatitis B is a public.health problem worldwide. The objec.ive of this study was to determine the epidemiologic.l and diagnostic.profile of c.ronic.c.rriers of hepatitis B virus seen for gastroenterology c.nsulta.ions in Parakou, Republic.of Benin. Patients and Methods: This was a c.oss-sec.ional and desc.iptive study with retrospec.ive data c.llec.ion. Patients seen for gastroenterology c.nsulta.ions from January 1, 2017 to June 30, 2021 at the Regional Teac.ing Hospital of Borgou/Alibori (c.UD-B/A) and having been diagnosed as c.ronic.c.rriers of hepatitis B virus were inc.uded. A minimum initial assessment was required to be inc.uded. The minimum sample size was c.lc.lated with Sc.wartz formula. The variable of interest was the detec.ion of HBsAg twic. and at least 6 months apart. The other variables studied were soc.odemographic. c.inic.l and parac.inic.l data. The data c.llec.ed were analyzed using SPSS 17 software. Results: A total of 2786 patients were seen for gastroenterology c.nsulta.ions, inc.uding 1126 (40.4%) HBsAg-positive patients. Among them, 417 patients met the inc.usion c.iteria and were the subjec. of the present study. The average age of the patients was 34.8 ± 10.5 years. Two hundred and forty-seven patients (65.7%) were male, representing a sex ratio of 1.9. The disc.very of positive HBsAg status was made during systematic.sc.eening in 231 patients (55.4%). Sc.rific.tions were noted in 373 patients (89.4%). Asthenia was reported in 184 patients (44.1%). c.-infec.ions with human immunodefic.enc. virus, hepatitis c.and D viruses were 0% (0 in 92), 2.8% (4 in 146) and 14.3% (2 in 146), respec.ively. During the initial assessment, 274 patients (65.7%) were sero-negative for c.ronic.HBeAg infec.ion, 21 (5%) had c.inic.lly signific.nt fibrosis inc.uding 16 (3.8%) at the stage of c.rrhosis and 7 patients (5.4%) had hepatoc.llular c.rc.noma. c.nc.usion: In Parakou, c.ronic.hepatitis B virus infec.ion is c.mmon and affec.s young pe
