Federated learning’s Role in Next-Gen TV Ad Optimization

In the rapidly evolving landscape of television advertising,optimizing ad schedules to maximize viewer engagement and revenue has become *** methods often operate in silos,limiting the potential insights gained from broader data analysis due to concerns over privacy and data *** article introduces a novel approach that leverages Federated learning(Fl)to enhance TV ad schedule optimization,combining the strengths of local optimization techniques with the power of global Machine learning(Ml)models to uncover actionable insights without compromising data *** combines linear programming for initial ads scheduling optimization with Ml—specifically,a K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)model—for predicting ad spot *** into account the diversity and the difficulty of the ad-scheduling problem,we propose a prescriptivepredictive approach in which first the position of the ads is optimized(using Google’s OR-Tools Cp-SAT)and then the scheduled position of all ads will be the result of the optimization ***,this output becomes the target of a predictive task that predicts the position of new entries based on their characteristics ensuring the implementation of the scheduling at large scale(using KNN,light Gradient Boosting Machine and random Forest).Furthermore,we explore the integration of Fl to enhance predictive accuracy and strategic insight across different broadcasting networks while preserving data *** Fl approach resulted in 8750 ads being precisely matched to their optimal category placements,showcasing an alignment with the intended diversity ***,there was a minimal deviation observed,with 1133 ads positioned within a one-category variance from their ideal placement in the original dataset.

BACKGROUND: prehospital medication is a reality, and the role of these therapies must be explored to assess their validity, especially for acute respiratory diseases, which are usually associated with increased morbidity. The aim of this study was to examine the association of prehospital medication use with mortality in patients with acute respiratory ***: A prospective, multicenter, emergency medical service(EMS) delivery cohort study was carried out in adults with unselected respiratory diseases managed by EMS who were transferred to the emergency department. From january 1, 2019, to October 31, 2023, six advanced life support units, thirty-eight basic life support units, and four hospitals in Spain participated in the study. Demographic data, vital signs, use of mechanical ventilation, prehospital respiratory diagnosis, and prehospital medication were collected. The primary outcome was 30-day in-hospital ***: A total of 961 patients were included, with a mortality rate of 17.5%(168 patients). Age, an increasing number of comorbidities, the use of invasive mechanical ventilation(IMV), the use of major analgesics, hypnotics, and bicarbonate were risk factors. In contrast, elevated systolic blood pressure and Glasgow Coma Scale scores were found to be protective factors against mortality. The predictive capacity of the model reached an area under the curve(AUC) of 0.857(95% confidence interval [95% CI] 0.827–0.888).CONClUSION: Our data revealed that IMV, major analgesics, hypnotics and bicarbonate administration were associated with elevated mortality. Adding prehospital drug therapy information to demographic variables and vital signs could improve EMS decision-making, allowing a better characterization of patients at risk of clinical worsening.

The pisco and wine industry produces hundreds of tons of grape pomace each year in Chile,generating environmental problems,and demanding urgent strategies for its *** aim of this work was to study the pisco grape pomace based on a physicochemical characterization,an iron/copper speciation analysis,and the optimization for polyphenols recovery,establishing the polyphenolic profile,antioxidant properties,and the Fe^(2+)/Cu^(2+) chelating activity,to promote their revalorization as an ingredient with potential application in the food *** chemical characterization showed mainly high values for crude protein(15.36%dw)and potassium(9240.66 mg/kg).The Fe/Cu speciation depicted that iron and copper soluble forms in pisco pomace flour represented 70.57%and 52.18%,respectively,regarding total *** optimized extract showed mainly pyrogallol,catechin and epicatechin,with concentrations of 1078.43±60.14μg/g,883.20±7.57μg/g and,751.76±23.04μg/g,respectively,with a relevant antioxidant capacity by Oxygen radical Absorbance capacity(OraC)of 1402.15μmol TE/g dw GpE and,a better chelating ability to complex Fe^(2+) than Cu^(2+).The pisco pomace was for the first time chemically characterize,showing it as a potential source of minerals and antioxidant biocompounds,making it a good candidate for nutritional applications,as a rich source of organic matter or even could be potentially utilized to produce value-added commodities,toward a circular economy.

BACKGROUND The classification of uterine sarcomas is based on distinctive morphological and immunophenotypic characteristics,increasingly supported by molecular genetic *** on neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase(NTRK)gene fusionpositive uterine sarcoma,potentially aggressive and morphologically similar to fibrosarcoma,are limited due to its recent ***-TRK immunohistochemistry(IHC)analysis serves as an effective screening tool with high sensitivity and specificity for NTRK-fusion *** SUMMARY We report a case of a malignant mesenchymal tumor originating from the uterine cervix,which was pan-TRK IHC-positive but lacked NTRK gene fusions,accompanied by a brief literature review.A 55-year-old woman presented to the emergency department with abdominal pain and distension,exhibiting significant ascites and multiple solid pelvic *** examination revealed a tumor encompassing the uterine cervix,extending to the vagina and uterine corpus.A punch biopsy of the cervix indicated NTRK sarcoma with positive immunochemical pan-TRK ***,subsequent next generation sequencing revealed no NTRK gene fusion,leading to a diagnosis of poorly differentiated,advanced-stage *** The clinical significance of NTRK gene fusion lies in potential treatment with TRK inhibitors for positive *** such rare tumors is crucial due to the potential applicability of tropomyosin receptor kinase inhibitor treatment.

Establishment of Diagnostic Reference levels for Childhood Head CT in the District of Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire

Computed tomography is an indispensable X-ray imaging modality used to diagnose numerous pathologies, but it can also involve the delivery of high ionizing radiation doses harmful to the health of patients. This study aims to survey the level of radiation doses delivered to child patients during head exams in CT imaging to set up the Dosimetric Reference levels (DRls), a routine dose optimization tool, based on data acquired at the University Hospital of Angré (UHA), the University Hospital of Treichville (UHT) and the polyclinic Hospital Farah (Farah) for optimizing procedures in Ivorian hospitals. prospectively performed on 334 CT images of 186 child patients, this study was carried out on CT systems such as Hitachi Scenaria, Sinovision Insitum, and philips Incisive used respectively at UHA, UHT and Farah. Children’s scan data were classified into four age bands: vol or dose-length product as Dlp) value, whatever the hospital, increases with respect to the age of child patients. Based on the 75th percentile of the whole dose distributions, the DRls of the CTDIvol is 54.37 mGy whatever the age groups and those of the Dlp with respect to age bands are 1224.55 mGy∙cm, 1414.06 mGy∙cm, 1632.24 *** and 1544.57 mGy∙cm, respectively. The averaged values of CTDIvol and Dlp smaller than the corresponding DRls values suggest that practices in our three facilities are optimized. However, comparing our results with those from different international studies, we see that the CTDIvol and Dlp values obtained in the present work are higher. These results suggest additional surveys to ensure our DRls values and efforts from radiologists, imaging technicians and medical physicists to strengthen clinical procedures for the radiation protection of children undergoing CT scans in Côte d’Ivoire.

We report on commissioning experiments at the high-energy,high-temperature(HHT)target area at the GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH,Darmstadt,Germany,combining for the first time intense pulses of heavy ions from the SIS18 synchrotron with high-energy laser pulses from the pHElIX laser *** demonstrate the use of X-ray diagnostic techniques based on intense laserdriven X-ray sources,which will allow probing of large samples volumetrically heated by the intense heavy-ion beams.A new target chamber as well as optical diagnostics for ion-beam characterization and fast pyrometric temperature measurements complement the experimental *** platform is designed for experiments at the future Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH(FAIR),where unprecedented ion-beam intensities will enable the generation of millimeter-sized samples under high-energy-density conditions.

Dengue is a global health problem without current specific treatment nor safe vaccines *** severe dengue is related to pre-existing non-neutralizing dengue virus(DENV)antibodies,the role of T cells in protection or pathology is *** cutaneous DENV infection in immunocompetent mice we previously showed the generation of pNA+germinal centers(GCs),now we assessed the activation and proliferation of B and T cells in draining lymph nodes(DlNs).We found a drastic remodelling of DlN compartments from 7 to 14 days post-infection(dpi)with greatly enlarged B cell follicles,occupying almost half of the DlN area compared to*24%in na?ve *** clusters of proliferating(Ki-67+)cells inside B follicles were found 14 dpi,representing*33%of B cells in DlNs but only*2%in noninfected *** GCs,we noticed an important recruitment of tingle body macrophages removing apoptotic *** contrast,the percentage of paracortex area and total T cells decreased by 14–16 dpi,compared to *** randomly distributed Ki-67+T cells were found,similar to non-infected ***69 expression by CD4+and CD8+T cells was minor,while it was remarkable in B cells,representing 1764.7%of change from basal levels 3 *** apparent lack of T cell responses cannot be attributed to apoptosis since no significant differences were observed compared to noninfected *** study shows massive B cell activation and proliferation in DlNs upon DENV *** contrast,we found very poor,almost absent CD4+and CD8+T cell responses.
