A detector setup for the measurement of angular distribution of heavy-ion elastic scattering at energies around Coulomb barrier on the radioactive ion beam line in Lanzhou at the heavy-ion research facility in Lanzhou is *** beam profile and the scattering angles on the target are deduced by two parallel plate avalanche counters,and four sets of detector telescopes(including doublesided silicon strip detectors) are placed systematically with the beam line,incorporating with Monte Carlo *** data of ^(1.)O on ^(89)Y target were analyzed to compare with the simulation *** is found that the simulated distribution is agreeable with the experimental *** assuming the pure Rutherford scattering at small scattering angles,the angular distribution of elastic scattering of^(1.)O+^(89)Y at low energies can be reasonably *** indicates that this set of detector setup can be used for the measurement of angular distributions of heavy-ion elastic scattering at energies around Coulomb barrier.

Recent field studies on Upper Silurian stratigraphy and paleontology in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (for short Inner Mongalia) near Bater Obo (=Bateaobao) resulted in the discovery of a small continental island with fossil invertebrates preserved as encrusters (stromatoporoids and corals) attached directly to a rocky shore surface and buried by silty clay mud. The Bater island (named herein) is 6{2. m ×2.0 m in size and composed of Ordovician igneous rock (diorite). Limestone strata dating from the Ludlow Epoch (about 42. ma) surround the island and dip away from the igneous core in a radial pattern. The encrusting fossils occur on the sheltered (south and southeast) side of the island, whereas the north side was exposed to stronger wave activity based on a basal conglomerate unit composed of diorite boulders. This is the first record of an ancient island in china and the first report worldwide of stromatoporoids as members of a rocky-shore community. The island clearly shows distinct windward

Investigating deuteron–deuteron(DD)fusion reactions in a plasma environment similar to the early stages of the Big Bang is an important topic in nuclear *** this study,we experimentally investigated such reactions,using eight laser beams with the third harmonic impacting on a deuterated polyethylene target at the ShenGuang-II Upgrade laser *** work focused on the application of range-filter(RF)spectrometers,assembled from a 70 lm aluminum filter and two CR-39 nuclear track detectors,to measure the yields of primary *** on the track diameter calibration results of 3 MeV protons used to diagnose the tracks on the RF spectrometers,an approximate primary DD-proton yield of(8.5±1.7)×1.^6 was obtained,consistent with the yields from similar laser facilities *** indicates that the RF spectrometer is an effective way to measure primary ***,due to the low yields of D^3He-protons and its small track diameter,CR-39 detectors were unable to distinguish it from the background *** other accurate detectors may help to measure these rare events.

In this paper,the implantation-decay method is introduced to study the β-delayed charged particle decay.A silicon detector array was used for the implantation of the incident beams and for the detection of the emitted *** experimental measurement on the β-delayed particle emission from ^(2.)Al was used to demonstrate the *** half-life value,charged particle spectroscopy,γ ray spectrum,and γ particle coincidence for the decay process were obtained and compared with previous experimental results for ^(2.)*** results show that the implantation-decay method,using a silicon detector array,is a suitable experimental method to study the β-delayed charged particle decay for proton-rich nuclei.

Trimethylamine-N-oxide(TmaO)derived from the gut microbiota is an atherogenic *** study investigates whether or not berberine(BBR)could reduce TmaO production in the gut microbiota and treat *** of BBR on TmaO production in the gut microbiota,as well as on plaque development in atherosclerosis were investigated in the culture of animal intestinal bacterial,HFD-fed animals and atherosclerotic patients,*** found that oral BBR in animals lowers TmaO biosynthesis in intestine through interacting with the enzyme/co-enzyme of choline-trimethylamine lyase(CutC)and flavincontaining monooxygenase(FMO)in the gut *** action was performed by BBR’s metabolite dihydroberberine(a reductive BBR by nitroreductase in the gut microbiota),via a vitamine-like effect down-regulating Choline-Tma-TmaO production *** BBR decreased TmaO production in animal intestine,lowered blood TmaO and interrupted plaque formation in blood vessels in the HFD-fed ***,2.13}patients with atherosclerosis exhibited the average decrease of plaque score by 3.2.after oral BBR(0.5 g,bid)for 4 months(^(*)P2.13};whereas the plaque score in patients treated with rosuvastatin plus aspirin,or clopidogrel sulfate or ticagrelor(4 months,n=1.)increased by 1.9%.Tma and TmaO in patients decreased by 38 and 2.%in faeces(^(*)Pma(^(***)P1.^(*)PmaO in a mode of action similar to that of vitamins.

We perform level statistics of the Nilsson single-particle levels. The effects of the l2.and l ＆#1.0}9; s; s terms are discussed as well as their interplay with the defor{1.tions. The results show that when the l2.term is added to the harmonic oscillator potential, chaotic motion occurs. The strength ranges of the l2.term in which chaotic motion exists are related to the defor{1.tion of the harmonic oscillator potential. The calculations of the localization length in different bases demonstrate that it is the spherical or axial symmetries that govern the chaotic motion. The degree of chaoticity increases significantly with the l ＆#1.0}9; s; s term included.
