Aim:To assess the relationship between preoperative computed tomography(CT)and postoperative pathological measurements of esophageal tumor length and the prognostic significance of CT tumor length ***:A retrospective study was carried out in 56 patients who underwent curative *** lengths were measured on the immediate preoperative CT and on the post-operative resection ***-and intra-observer variations in CT measurements were *** data were ***:There was a weak correlation between CT and pathological tumor length(r=0.30,P=0.025).CT lengths were longer than pathological lengths in 68%(38/56)of patients with a mean difference of 1.67 cm(95%CI:1.18-2.97).The mean difference in measurements by two radiologists was 0.39 cm(95% CI:-0.59-1.44).The mean difference between repeat CT measured tumor length(intra-observer variation) were 0.04 cm(95%CI:-0.59-0.66)and 0.47 cm (95%CI:-0.53-1.47).When stratified,patients not receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy showed a strong correlation between CT and pathological tumor length(r =0.69,P=0.0014,n=37)than patients that did(r= 0.13,P=0.43,n=19).median survival with CT tumor length>5.6 cm was poorer than with smaller tumors,but the difference was not statistically ***:Esophageal tumor length assessed using CT does not reflect pathological tumor extent and should not be the only modality used for management decisions,particularly for planning radiotherapy.

Sodium ion batteries (SIBs) are alternatives to lithium ion batteries (LIBs), and offer some significant benefits such as cost reduction and a lower environmental impact;however, to compete with LIBs, further research is required to improve the performance of SIBs. In this study, an orthorhombic Na super ionic conductor structural Fe_(2)(moO_(4))_(3) nanosheet with amorphous-crystalline core-shell alignment was synthesized using a facile low-temperature water-vapor-assisted solid-state reaction and applied as a cathode material for SIBs. The obtained material has a well-defined three-dimensional stacking structure, and exhibits a high specific capacity of 87.8 mAh·g^(−1) at a current density of 1 C = 91 mA·g^(−1) after 1,000 cycles, which is due to the considerable contribution of extra surface-related reaction such as the pseudo-capacitive process. This material shows significantly improved cycling and rated behavior as well as enhanced performance under high- and low-temperature conditions, as compared to the same materials prepared by the conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction. This enhancement is explained by the unique morphology in combination with the improved kinetics of the electrochemical reaction due to its lower charge transfer resistance and higher sodium ion conductivity.

Let （m, ω） be a closed symplectic 2n-dimensional manifold. Donaldson in his paper showed that there exist 2m-dimensional symplectie submanifolds （V^2m,ω） of （m,ω）, 1 ≤m ≤ n - 1, with （m - 1）-equivalent inclusions. On the basis of this fact we obtain isomorphic relations between kernel of Lefschetz map of m and kernels of Lefschetz maps of Donaldson submanifolds V^2m, 2 ≤ m ≤ n - 1. Then, using this relation, we show that the flux group of m is discrete if the action of π1 （m） on π2（m） is trivial and there exists a retraction r ： m→ V, where V is a 4-dimensional Donaldson submanifold. And, in the symplectically aspherical case, we investigate the flux groups of the manifolds.

Objective:To investigate mosquitocidal effects of ethanolic extract of(lowers of Tagetes erecta(***) and its chloroform and petroleum ether soluble fractions against the larvae of Culex quinquefasciatus(***).methods:The fresh flowers of *** were extracted in cold with ethanol(5.0 L) and after concentration,the ethanol extract was fractionated with chloroform and petroleum ether to afford a brownish syrupy suspension of ethanol extract(50.0 g),petroleum ether soluble fraction(18.6 g) and chloroform soluble fraction(23.8 g).The larvicidal effect of ethanol extract and their solvent fractions were determined by the standard procedure of WHO against different instars of ***:Among the tested samples the chloroform soluble fractions showed the highest toxicity and consequently,the lowest LC_(50) values(14.14 μ g/mL,17.06 μ g/mL.36.88 μ g/mL and 75.48 μ g/mL) for all the instars larvae of *** larvae showed comparative tolerance in the course of increasing age and ***:It can be concluded that the flowers of *** are very effective natural larvicide and could be useful against ***.

This study uses logistic and Poisson regression models to examine the factors influencing the adoption of sustain-able land management(SLm)practices in mali using two rounds of the nationally representative survey Enquête Agricole de Conjoncture Intégrée aux Conditions de Vie des mé*** SLms considered include the applica-tion of organic fertilizers,the application of inorganic fertilizers,the use of improved seeds,and the practice of *** average the application of organic fertilizers(39.2%),and inorganic fertilizers(28.7%)are the most frequent SLm practices among malian farmers,and between 2014 and 2017,we observe a decline in the practice of *** regression results show that farmers’adoption of different SLms is significantly associated with biophysical factors(average temperature,climate type,plot size,plot shape,and location),de-mographic factors(age,gender,education,household size),and socioeconomic factors(number of cultivated plots,livelihood diversification,type of crop grown,market access,credit access,economic shocks,and social capital).Our findings suggest that policymakers and agricultural development agencies in mali need to adopt a multidimensional policy framework to unlock the untapped potential of SLm practices in promoting sustainable agriculture and food security.

The effect of platinum(a rare metal)-aluminide coating parameters on the tensile properties of nickel-based superalloy rene■80 was evaluated at 871℃.For this purpose,initial layers of platinum with different thicknesses(2,4,6 and 8μm)were coated on tensile samples Then,low-temperature high-activity(LTHA)and hightemperature low-activity(HTLA)processes were used for *** of microstructural evaluations using scanning electron microscope(SEm)and phase analysis by X-ray diffraction(XrD)showed a three-layer structure coating for different platinum layer thicknesses and both aluminizing *** the thickness of the platinum layer from 2 to 8μm led to the improvement in the final coating thickness from 91.6 to 102.1μm in *** increase was from 128.1 to 148.6μm in *** results of hot tensile tests at 871℃ showed a decrease in strength properties of the coated samples compared to the uncoated ***,HTLA and high thicknesses of the initial platinum layer showed an intense *** results of fractographic evaluations abou uncoated samples showed a ductile *** the other hand,coated samples showed a simultaneous ductile and brittle fracture failure *** the main fracture morphology was brittle cleavage fracture which was for the HTLA.

Incorporating nanomaterials into membranes will enhance wastewater treatment efficiency with their unique characteristics, such as higher permeability, thermal stability, surface roughness, hydrophilicity, and fouling control. In this study, the surface-modified boron nitride with phosphoric acid 2hydroxyethyl methacrylate ester (PA/BN) was grafted with polyethylene glycol (PEG) via conventional grafting. The PEG grafted PA/BN (PEG-g-PA/BN) melt blended with polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resin by using an internal mixer at different mass percentages (100% PVDF (PVDF), 3% PEG-g-PA/BN & thorn;97% PVDF (97:3 BN), 5% PEG-g-PA/BN & thorn;95% PVDF (95:5 BN), 7% PEG-g-PA/BN & thorn;93% PVDF (93:7 BN), and 7% PEG-g-PA/BNNS & thorn;93% PVDF (93:7 BNNS). Phase inversion technique was used to cast the blended mixture into a thin membrane. The prepared membranes were analyzed with different characterization techniques to determine chemical composition, crystallinity, morphology, and thermal properties. The prepared composite membrane was evaluated in terms of water permeability, anti-fouling resistance, and solute rejection efficiency with deionized water, bovine serum albumin, and arsenic solution as well. PVDF membranes show high water flux and porosity. The water flux and porosity of the blends decrease as the percentage of PEG-g-PA/BN increases. However, the highest removal capacity for arsenic was observed at 93:7 BN. The adsorption of arsenic ions takes place via complexation with PA/BN in the PVDF matrix. This was confirmed with field emission scanning electron microscopy-energy-dispersive X-ray analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses.
