The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is characterized as a disease caused by a novel coronavirus known as severe acute respiratory coronavirus syndrome 2(SArS-CoV-2;formerly known as 2019-nCoV).In December 2019,COVID-19 began to appear in a few *** the beginning of 2020,it had spread to most countries across the *** is when education challenges began to *** COVID-19 crisis led to the closure of thousands of schools and universities all over the *** a situation requires reliance on e-learning and robotics education for students to continue their studies to avoid the mingling between people and *** relation to this alternative learning solution,the present study was conducted.A systematic literature review on educational robotics(Er)keywords between 2015–2020 was carried out for the purpose to review a total of 2253 articles from the selected sources;Scopus(452),Taylor&Francis(311),Science Direct(427),IEEE Xplore(221),and Web of Science(842).This review procedure was labelled as Taxonomy *** ltering Taxonomy 1,it was found that 98 scientic articles formed the so-called Taxonomy II that was categorized into six categories:(i)robotics concepts,(ii)Device,(iii)robotic applications,(iv)Manufacturing robots,(v)robotics analysis,and(vi)Education/*** this study,only 35 articles in this specic eld were selected,of which were then assigned into three categories:(i)Application,(ii)Platform,and(iii)*** results show that the application category carries 17.4%,platform 20%,and education 22.85%.This study serves as the application platform to help students,academics,and researchers.

Structural restoration of Carbonate Platform in the Southern Part of Central Luconia, Malaysia

Carbonates of Central Luconia, Malaysia, had been serving as hydrocarbon reservoirs for more than 25 years. However, the relationship and impacts of extensive tectonic events to the growth of Miocene carbonates in Central Luconia have not been revealed sufficiently. In this work, two carbonates platforms in the southern part of Central Luconia were used for detailed interpretation and seismic based structural restoration. This work had provided new insight for the interpreta- tion of carbonate growth in Central Luconia and its association with the surrounding tectonic. This work suggested three possible tectonic evolutions from Late Oligocene to Pliocene are responsible for the growth of carbonates in Central Luconia. These stages are equivalent with pre-carbonate stage （Late Oligocene-Early Miocene）, syn-carbonate stage （Middle-Late Miocene） and post-carbonate stage （Pliocene）. rifting of the South China Sea and subduction of proto-South China Sea are believed to be responsible for the development of faulting during pre-carbonate stage, while movement of the ancient Baram Line is thought to control the parallel striking direction of normal faults during syn- carbonate stage. Finally, subsidence and compaction due to the overburden clastic materials from the prograding deltas is considered as the main reason for the impacts of gravitational tectonics in this area, which corresponding to the post-carbonate stage.

Plasmon-Enhanced Upconversion Fluorescence in Er^(3+):Ag Phosphate Glass:the Effect of Heat Treatment

The melt quenching method is used to prepare erbium-doped silver nanoparticle(NP)embedded phosphate *** effect of annealing on the glass on the formation of silver NPs produced by the reduction of silver(Ag^(+)→Ag^(o))is *** glass samples are characterized by x-ray diffraction,UV-vis-NIr absorption,photoluminescence spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)*** absorption spectra reveal not only the peaks due to Er^(3+)ions,but also the surface plasmon resonance band of silver NPs located around~442 *** TEM imaging shows the homogeneous distribution of silver NPs of almost spherical shape with an average diameter of~5 *** luminescence spectra show two major emissions at 550 and 638 nm,originating from the 4S_(3/2)and 4F_(9/2)energy levels of the Er^(3+)ions,*** enhancement in the luminescence intensity of both the green and red bands is found to be due to the effective local field of the silver NPs as well as the energy transfer from the nanoclusters,comprised of centers with silver ions bound to silver atoms in dimers or trimers to Er^(3+)ions,whereas quenching occurred due to the energy transfer from erbium ions to silver NPs(Er^(^(3^(+)))→Ag^(o)).

Influence of surface treatments on fatigue life of a two-stroke free piston linear engine component using random loading

This paper describes the finite element (FE) analysis technique to predict fatigue life using the narrow band frequency response approach. The life prediction results are useful for improving the component design methodology at the very early development stage. The approach is found to be suitable for a periodic loading but requires very large time records to accurately describe random loading processes. This paper is aimed at investigating the effects of surface treatments on the fatigue life of the free piston linear engine’s components. Finite element modelling and frequency response analysis were conducted using computer aided design and finite element analysis commercial codes, respectively. In addition, the fatigue life prediction was carried out using finite element based fatigue analysis commercial code. Narrow band approach was specially applied to predict the fatigue life of the free piston linear engine cylinder block. Significant variation was observed between the surface treatments and untreated cylinder block of free piston engine. The obtained results indicated that nitrided treatment yielded the longest life. This approach can determine premature products failure phenomena, and therefore can reduce time to market, improve product reliability and customer confidence.

Nephroprotective effects of Zingiber zerumbet Smith ethyl acetate extract against paracetamol-induced nephrotoxicity and oxidative stress in rats

Paracetamol (PCM) overdose can cause nephrotoxicity with oxidative stress as one of the possible mechanisms mediating the event. In this study, the effects of ethyl acetate extract of Zingiber zerumbet rhizome [200 mg per kg of body weight (mg/kg) and 400 mg/kg] on PCM-induced nephrotoxicity were examined. rats were divided into five groups containing 10 rats each. The control group received distilled water while other groups were treated with extract alone (400 mg/kg), PCM alone (750 mg/kg), 750 mg/kg PCM+200 mg/kg extract (PCM+ 200-extract), and 750 mg/kg PCM+400 mg/kg extract (PCM+400-extract), respectively, for seven consecutive days. The Z. zerumbet extract was given intraperitoneally concurrent with oral administration of PCM. Treatment with Z. zerumbet extract at doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg prevented the PCM-induced nephrotoxicity and oxidative impairments of the kidney, as evidenced by a significantly reduced (Preatinine, plasma and renal malondialdehyde (MDA), plasma protein carbonyl, and renal advanced oxidation protein product (AOPP). Furthermore, both doses were also able to induce a significant increment (Prenal levels of glutathione (GSH) and plasma superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity. The nephroprotective effects of Z. zerumbet extract were confirmed by a reduced intensity of renal cellular damage, as evidenced by histological findings. Moreover, Z. zerumbet extract administered at 400 mg/kg was found to show greater protective effects than that at 200 mg/kg. In conclusion, ethyl acetate extract of Z. zerumbet rhizome has a protective role against PCM-induced nephrotoxicity and the process is probably mediated through its antioxidant properties.

Impedance analysis of Labisia pumila plant water status

Labisia pumila(Kacip fatimah)is a popular medicinal plant in *** constituents of this plant have been reported to possess anticancer,antioxidant and anti-inflammatory *** growth and production of *** is greatly influenced by the plant water *** techniques to measure plant water status are generally based on the plant soil moisture,which apparently did not indicate the real water content inside the *** are other techniques to measure directly on the plant such as based on leaf water potential(LWP)and relative water content(rWC).However,these techniques are destructive and time *** this study,four levels of evapotranspiration replacement(Er)treatment which were 100%Er,75%Er,50%Er and 25%Er was applied to 30 polybags of *** *** plant water status was measured using an impedance spectroscopy technique.A pair of electrocardiogram(ECG)electrode connected to an impedance analyzer board was used to measure the impedance value of the leaf samples *** water status parameters such as LWP,rWC,volumetric moisture content(VMC),and leaf thickness were measured using standard *** results show that after 20 weeks of treatment,25%Er had the highest impedance value ranged from 0.10 MX to 0.15 MX at the frequency of 70–100 *** resistance of 100%Er at 20 weeks of treatment increased from 0.70 kX to 1.23 kX as the reactance decreased from 0.51 kX to 0.28 ***,the resistance of 25%Er increased from 1 kX to 1.10 kX as the reactance decreased from 0.88 kX to 0.83 *** polynomial regression of impedance measurements with plant water status parameters(VMC,leaf thickness,LWP and rWC)shows that LWP and rWC had the highest r2(0.78,0.73).The results show that impedance measurement technique is auspicious to evaluate plant water status.

Objective:To evaluate a protective effect of Aristolochia gehrtii(***)leaves to inhibit liver toxicity and apoptosis in Schistosoma malayensis(***)***:Forty male albino mice were divided into four equal groups:group 1 control including noninfected healthy mice and groups 2,3&4 subcutaneously infected with *** cercariae where groups 3&4 pretreated with *** leaves(200 mg/kg,bwt)&cinnamoylamide(250mg/kg,bwt),***:*** caused a significant increase in serum AST,ALT,ALP,MDA,NO,bilirubin,urea,creatinine,total cholesterol,LDL,triglycerides,and HDL *** pretreatment of A,gehrtii leaves and cinnamoylamide significantly inhibited that *** the other hand,*** induced a significant decrease in serum total protein,albumin,globulin,albumin/globulin ratio,blood SOD and GPx,while *** leaves and cinnamoylamide pretreatment increased the above *** with *** leaves and cinnamoylamide to *** infected mice increased p53 expression but decreased *** results were supported by hislopalholqgical ***:*** inhibits liver toxicity and apoptosis in *** infection and this effect is associated with the major cinnamoylamide ingredient of *** leaves.

Climate change is one of the critical determinants affecting life cycles and transmission of most infectious agents,including malaria,cholera,dengue fever,hand,foot,and mouth disease(HFMD),and the recent Corona-virus *** has been associated with a growing number of outbreaks resulting in fatal complications since the late *** outbreaks may result from a combination of rapid population growth,climate change,socioeconomic changes,and other lifestyle ***,the modeling of climate variability and HFMD remains unclear,particularly in statistical theory *** statistical relationship between HFMD and climate factors has been widely studied using generalized linear and additive *** dealing with time-series data with clustered variables such as HFMD with clustered states,the independence principle of both modeling approaches may be ***,a Generalized Additive Mixed Model(GAMM)is used to investigate the relationship between HFMD and climate factors in *** model is improved by using a first-order autoregressive term and treating all Malaysian states as a random *** method is preferred as it allows states to be modeled as random effects and accounts for time series data *** findings indicate that climate variables such as rainfall and wind speed affect HFMD cases in *** risk of HFMD increased in the subsequent two weeks with rainfall below 60 mm and decreased with rainfall exceeding 60 ***,a two-week lag in wind speeds between 2 and 5 m/s reduced HFMD's *** results also show that HFMD cases rose in Malaysia during the inter-monsoon and southwest monsoon seasons but fell during the northeast *** study's outcomes can be used by public health officials and the general public to raise awareness,and thus,implement effective preventive measures.

Objective:To study antiplasmodial and antioxidant activities of the isolation of alkaloids from the active dichloromcthanc extract of Alseodaphne ***:Phytochemical studies of the crude extract led to the isolation of six alkaloids using recycle high performance liquid chromatography and preparative thin layer *** antiplasmodial activity of the isolated compounds was evaluated usingthe histidinc-rich protein II *** isolated alkaloids were also tested for their antioxidant activity using three different assays:*** reducing ability of plasma and metal chelating ***:Malaria infection caused the formation of free radicals which subsequently led to oxidative stress and *** antioxidant properties of the alkaloids under investigation revealed that in addition to the aniiplasmodial activity,the alkaloids could also prevent oxidative stress.(+)-laurotetanine and(+)-norstephasubine exhibited strong antiplamodial activities with IC_(50) values of 0.189 and 0.116 μ***:Interestingly,the two most potent compounds that exhibit aniiplasmodial activity also exhibit good antioxidant *** crude dichloromcthanc extract and the isolated compounds exert substantial aniiplasmodial and antioxidative activities which in turn suppress oxidative stress and cause less damage to the host.
