The NΔ and ΔΔ dibaryon resonances are studied by calculating the NN scattering phase shifts with explicitly coupling these dibaryon channels in a multi-channel coupling calculation with two quark models. These quark models,the chiral quark model and quark delocalization color screening model,describe the NN S-,D-wave phase shifts below the π production threshold quantitatively well. Both quark models predict the 1D2 resonance discovered in NN partial wave phase shift analysis and the J=1 or 3 isoscalar resonance recently reported by cELSIUS-WASA collaboration are NΔ5S2 and ΔΔ7S3 resonance,respectively. Further measurements at cOSY,LEPS and Lanzhou cooling Storage ring(cSr) to check the ΔΔ resonance are discussed.

Background: Mycobacterium (M) chelonei keratitis is a rare opportunistic eye infection that can cause significant morbidity when not being treated properly. The first case was documented by Gangadharam et al in 1978 and since then, a total of 49 cases were reported in the literature. One alarming fact is that more than 50% of cases were found in the chinese population and mostly reported in recent years. The key to successful management of M. chelonei keratitis is early diagnosis by high index of suspicion. Hyperuricemia-mediated uric acid crystal formation may cause joint inflammation and provoke the destruction of joints through the activation of inflammasome-mediated innate immune ***,the immunopathological effects and underlying intracellular regulatory mechanisms of uric acid crystal-mediated activation of fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLS)in rheumatoid arthritis(rA)have not been ***,we investigated the in vitro effects of monosodium urate crystals,alone or in combination with the inflammatory cytokines tumor-necrosis factor(TNF)-a or interleukin(IL)-1b,on the activation of human FLS from rA patients and normal control subjects and the underlying intracellular signaling mechanisms of treatment with these *** urate crystals were able to significantly increase the release of the inflammatory cytokine IL-6,the chemokine cXcL8 and the matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-1 from both normal and rA-FLS(all P,0.05).Moreover,the additive or synergistic effect on the release of IL-6,cXcL8 and MMP-1 from both normal and rA-FLS was observed following the combined treatment with monosodium urate crystals and TNF-a or *** experiments showed that the release of the measured inflammatory cytokine,chemokine and MMP-1 stimulated by monosodium urate crystals were differentially regulated by the intracellular activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase and c-Jun N-terminal kinase pathways but not the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase *** results therefore provide a new insight into the uric acid crystal-activated immunopathological mechanisms mediated by distinct intracellular signal transduction pathways leading to joint inflammation in rA.

Herein we consider the existence of solutions to second-order, two-point boundary value problems （BVPs） for systems of ordinary differential inclusions. Some new Bernstein-Nagumo conditions are presented that ensure a priori bounds on the derivative of solutions to the differential inclusion. These a priori bound results are then applied, in conjunction with appropriate topological methods, to prove some new existence theorems for solutions to systems of BVPs for differential inclusions. The new conditions allow of the treatment of systems of BVPs without growth restrictions.

In this paper, we describe the fabrication of a new biodegradable porous scaffold composed of polycaprolactone(PcL) and magnesium(Mg)micro-particles. The compressive modulus of PcL porous scaffold was increased to at least 150% by incorporating 29% Mg particles with the porosity of 74% using Micro-cT analysis. Surprisingly, the compressive modulus of this scaffold was further increased to at least 236% when the silane-coupled Mg particles were added. In terms of cell viability, the scaffold modified with Mg particles significantly convinced the attachment and growth of osteoblasts as compared with the pure PcL scaffold. In addition, the hybrid scaffold was able to attract the formation of apatite layer over its surface after 7 days of immersion in normal culture medium, whereas it was not observed on the pure PcL scaffold. This in vitro result indicated the enhanced bioactivity of the modified scaffold. Moreover, enhanced bone forming ability was also observed in the rat model after 3 months of implantation. Though bony in-growth was found in all the implanted scaffolds. High volume of new bone formation could be found in the Mg/PcL hybrid scaffolds when compared to the pure PcL scaffold. Both pure PcL and Mg/PcL hybrid scaffolds were degraded after 3 months. However, no tissue inflammation was observed. In conclusion, these promising results suggested that the incorporation of Mg micro-particles into PcL porous scaffold could significantly enhance its mechanical and biological properties. This modified porous bio-scaffold may potentially apply in the surgical management of large bone defect fixation.

In this paper, we study the asymptotics of the krawtchouk polynomials kn^N（z;p,q） as the degree n becomes large. Asymptotic expansions are obtained when the ratio of the parameters n/N tends to a limit c E （0, 1） as n →∞. The results are globally valid in one or two regions in the complex z-plane depending on the values of c and p; in particular, they are valid in regions containing the interval on which these polynomials are orthogonal, Our method is based on the riemann-Hilbert approach introduced by Delft and Zhou.

We report the design and fabrication of a novel and fully integrated polymer-based centrifugal microfluidic disc for rapid automatic allergens detection. All essential steps for a single test including flow valving, sequencing, mixing, separation, extraction, and sedimentation for final detection are automatically conducted within 30 min on a centrifugal microfluidic disc. Our design features a siphon-based valving and analyte extraction structure where the released analyte is separated and subsequently extracted by a siphon valve into the detection chamber. Incorporating the siphon valve and a series of capillary valves, we realize automated detection of allergic reaction on a centrifugal microfluidic disc.
