In the presentwork,functional diamine groups into indium frameworks to synthesize cyclic carbonates from CO_(2)and epoxides with efficient catalytic activity in the absence of cocatalyst and solvent are reported for the first *** porous materials(CPM)-5 modified with 1,2-phenylene diamine and ethylene diamine(CPM-5-PhDA and CPM-5-EDA),were prepared using a post-synthetic modification(PSM)*** properties of the modified CPM-5 were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction(PXrD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-Ir),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),N2-adsorption,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),CO_(2)adsorption,and temperature programmed desorption TPD *** presence of diamine groups as basic sites and indium Lewis acid sites in the framework structure were desirable for high catalytic *** a given catalyst weight,CPM-5-PhDA was the best candidate to appear with great catalytic activity and selectivity for the cycloaddition reaction at 100°C and1MPa CO_(2)under co-catalyst and solvent free ***-5-PhDA alsowas found to afford large and bulky *** catalyst can be easily separated and reused five times without any decline in activity.

Faults in a DC aircraft power system typically lead to serious equipment damage,which severely threatens the safety of the whole aircraft system.A fast and accurate real-time fault detection scheme is necessary for aircraft power systems to provide high reliability in the *** this paper,a new fault detection device(FDD)is proposed based on the comb filter and second derivative of the system voltage to detect both low and highimpedance faults(HIFs)in a fast *** proposed method utilizes the comb filter in the middle of the two first derivatives to detect both high and low-impedance faults within several *** demonstrating the efficiency,authenticity,and compatibility of the proposed method,digital time-domain simulations are carried out and verified by real-time simulations using an OPAL-rT simulator under different scenarios such as low-and high-impedance fault,overload,and motor starting to verify distinguishing between non-fault disturbances and *** results,which are compared with reported methods,prove the accuracy and speed of the proposed FDD in a DC aircraft.

Antimicrobial activity of organic and aqueous extracts from fruits, leaves and roots of Tribulus terrestris L., an Iraqi medicinal plant used as urinary anti-infective in folk medicine, was examined against I l species of pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms： Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus cereus, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Serratia marcescens, Salmonella typhimurium, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans using microdilution method in 96 multiwell microtiter plates. All the extracts from the different parts of the plant showed antimicrobial activity against most tested microorganisms. The most active extract against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria was ethanol extract from the fruits with a minimal inhibitory concentration （MIC） value of 0.15 mg/ml against B. subtilis, B. cereus, P. vulgaris and C. diphtheriae. In addition, the same extract from the same plant part demonstrated the strongest antifungal activity against C. albicans with an MIC value of 0.15 mg/ml.

Carbon dots are rapidly emerging carbon-based nanomaterials that,due to their growing applications,will inevitable find their way to natural waters;however,their environmental fate is mostly *** dots with different surface functionality were fabricated and characterized by TEM and *** surface charge,given by the zeta potential,and their hydrodynamic diameter in suspension were investigated under a variety of environmentally relevant *** effect of ionic strength was studied in the presence of monovalent（NaCl）and divalent（CaCl2）cations,for p H levels from 3 to 11;humic acid was used as a model for dissolved natural organic *** potential energies of interactions were modeled by classical DLVO *** experimental results showed that water chemistry altered the surface charge of the nanomaterials,but their hydrodynamic size could not be correlated to those *** of specific interactions was found for the amino functionalized particles in most cases,as well as the plain carbon dots in the presence of Ca^（2＋）and humic *** remained largely stable in suspension,with some exception at the highest ionic strength *** theory did not adequately capture the aggregation behavior of the ***,cation and/or humic acid adsorption negatively affected the emission intensity of the particles,suggesting limitations to their use in natural water sensing *** particular stability shown by the carbon dots results in exposure to organisms in the water column and the possibility of contamination transported to significant distances from their source.

In this paper,a particular standard MicroGrid(MG)is accurately simulated in the presence of the Electric Vehicles(EVs)participating in decentralized primary frequency control *** examines effect of number of the participating EVs on the short-term dynamic *** simulation results confirm that frequency deviation will not definitely become zero even though an unlimited number of the EVs *** output power of each EV is determined according to the frequency *** the other hand,the output power of each EV affects the value of the frequency deviation,especially in small-scale MGs and MGs with predominant inductance ***,an equilibrium point is reached after a new EV is added that depends on the characteristics of the MG and the functions executed in the MG central controller during such a ***,effect of reflex method,an advanced charging technique for EVs,on the frequency deviation is examined.

Mammogram Images Thresholding for Breast Cancer Detection Using Different Thresholding Methods

The purpose of this study is to apply different thresholding in mammogram images, and then we will determine which technique is the best in thresholding (extraction) malignant and benign tumors from the rest breast tissues. The used technique is Otsu method, because it is one of the most effective methods for most real world views with regard to uniformity and shape measures. Also, we present all the thresholding methods that used the concept of between class variance. We found from the experimental results that all the used thresholding techniques work well in detection normal breast tissues. But in abnormal tissues (breast tumors), we found that only neighborhood valley emphasis method gave best detection of malignant tumors. Also, the results demonstrate that variance and intensity contrast technique is the best in extraction the micro calcifications which represent the first signs of breast cancer.
