this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

rolling Dynamic Compaction(rDC),which is a ground improvement technique involving non-circular modules drawn behind a tractor,has provided the construction industry with an improved ground compaction capability,especially with respect to a greater influence depth and a higher speed of compaction,resulting in increased productivity. However,to date,there is no reliable method to predict the effectiveness of rDC in a range of ground conditions. this paper presents a new and unique predictive tool developed by means of artificial neural networks(ANNs) that permits a priori prediction of density improvement resulting from a range of ground improvement projects that employed 4-sided rDC modules;commercially known as"impact rollers". the strong coefficient of correlation(i.e. r>0.86) and the parametric behavior achieved in this study indicate that the model is successful in providing reliable predictions of the effectiveness of rDC in various ground conditions.

rolling dynamic compaction (rDC),which employs non-circular module towed behind a tractor,is an innovative soil compaction method that has proven to be successful in many ground improvement *** involves repeatedly delivering high-energy impact blows onto the ground surface,which improves soil density and thus soil strength and ***,there exists a lack of methods to predict the effectiveness of rDC in different ground conditions,which has become a major obstacle to its *** this,in this context,a prediction model is developed based on linear genetic programming (LGP),which is one of the common approaches in application of artificial intelligence for nonlinear *** model is based on in situ density-related data in terms of dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) results obtained from several projects that have employed the 4-sided,8-t impact roller (BH-1300).It is shown that the model is accurate and reliable over a range of soil ***,a series of parametric studies confirms its robustness in generalizing *** addition,the results of the comparative study indicate that the optimal LGP model has a better predictive performance than the existing artificial neural network (ANN) model developed earlier by the authors.

Seawater flows towards the inlands along with the rivers and canals, through the process of infiltration and leaks in the ground water characterized by high concentrations of soluble salts. High salinity concentrations can make groundwater unsuitable for public consumption and surface water unsuitable for irrigation and agricultural activities. this study envisages the fluctuations of ground and surface water quality of Bentota area in the presence of seawater intrusion. the temporal and spatial variations of eleven water parameters were monitored by collecting the water samples during one year period. Spatial distributions were assessed by applying the Inverse distance weighted (IDW) interpolation method in Arc GIS 10.5 software. Water quality is assessed on the integration of all parameters in terms of an index based on the World Health Organization (WHO) standards. the significant linear relationship between the considered parameters of surface water (SW) and groundwater (GW) were identified applying correlation analysis using SPSS software. All parameters of surface water were above the permissible limits of WHO standards. Surface water quality index values with respect to 60% of canals show very poor quality (>1 250) of surface water indicating their unsuitability for irrigation activities. those surface water bodies indicated very highly saline conditions during dry months. the spatial distribution of ground water quality index with respect to the highest parameter values of each sampling location indicates that 52.2% of total land extent of Bentota Divisional Secretariat Division (DSD) has good quality of ground water which is suitable for drinking. Its 47.2% of total land extent has poor quality of ground water for drinking purpose and less than 0.5% of the area consists of excellent or very poor quality of ground water in each. this study helps to manage coastal aquifers by understanding the extreme water quality conditions and coastal salinity.

the benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(mSK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving mSK anatomy knowledge,PA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of mSK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement mSK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

Peroxymonosulfate(PmS)decomposition,hydroxyl radical(·OH)generation,and acetaminophen(ACt)degradation by the Co/PmS system using homogeneous(dissolved cobalt)and heterogeneous(suspended Co3O4)cobalt were *** the homogeneous process,>99%PmS decomposition was observed and 10 mmol/L of·OH generation was produced using 5 mmol/L of PmS and different dissolved cobalt concentrations after 30 min.A dissolved cobalt concentration of 0.2 mmol/L was used to achieve>99%ACt degradation using the homogeneous *** the heterogeneous process,60%PmS decomposition and negligible·OH generation were observed for 5 mmol/L of the initial PmS concentration using 0.1 and 0.2 g/L of *** of ACt greater than 80%was achieved for all experimental runs using 5 mmol/L of the initial PmS concentration independently of the initial Co3O4 load *** the heterogeneous process,the best experimental conditions for ACt degradation were found to be 3 mmol/L of PmS and 0.2 g/L of Co3O4,for which>99%ACt degradation was achieved after 10 *** negligible·OH was produced by the Co3O4/PmS process,a second-order kinetic model was proposed for sulfur-based free radical production to allow fair comparison between homogeneous and heterogeneous *** the kinetic data and the reaction by-products identified,a mechanistic pathway for ACt degradation is suggested.

An experimental study is conducted to investigate the heat transfer augmentation in developing turbulent flow through a ribbed square duct. the duct is made of 16ram thick bakelite sheet. the bottom surface of the ribbed wall having rib pitch to height ratio of 10 is heated by passing a c current to the heater placed under it. the uniform heating is controlled using a digital temperature controller and a variac. the results of ribbed duct are compared with the results of a smooth duct under the same experimental conditions. It is observed that the heat transfer augmentation in ribbed duct is better than that of the smooth duct. At re=5.0× 10^4 , the mean temperature of air flowing through the ribbed duct increases by 2.45 percent over the smooth duct, whereas in the fibbed duct Nusselt number increases by 15.14 percent than that of the smooth duct with a 6 percent increase in pressure drop.

Dye-sensitized solar cells（DSCs） have attracted a great deal of attention due to their low-cost and high power conversion efficiencies. they usually utilize an interconnected nanoparticle layer of tiO2 as the electron transport medium. From the fundamental point of view, faster mobility of electrons in Zn O is expected to contribute to better performance in DSCs than tiO2, though the actual practical situation is quite the opposite. In this research, we addressed this problem by first applying a dense layer of Zn O on FtO followed by a mesoporous layer of interconnected Zn O nanoparticle layer, both were prepared by spray pyrolysis technique. the best cell shows a power conversion efficiency of 5.2% when the mesoporous layer thickness is 14 μm and the concentration of the N719 dye in dye coating solution is 0.3 m m, while a cell without a dense layer shows 4.2% under identical conditions. the surface concentration of dye adsorbed in the cell with a dense layer and that without a dense layer are5.00 × 10^（-7） and 3.34 × 10^（-7） mol/cm^2, respectively. the cell with the dense layer has an electron lifetime of-54.81 ms whereas that without the dense layer is 11.08 ms. As such, the presence of the dense layer improves DSC characteristics of Zn O-based DSCs.
