In this wor., we pr.pose a post-layoutsimulation-dr.ven(post-simulation-dr.ven for.shor.) analog cir.uit siz.ng fr.mewor. that dir.ctly optimiz.s the post-layout simulation per.or.ance. The fr.mewor. integr.tes automated layout gener.tion into the optimiz.tion loop of tr.nsistor.siz.ng and lever.ges a coupled Bayesian optimiz.tion algor.thm to sear.h for.the best post-simulation per.or.ance. Exper.mental r.sults demonstr.te that our.fr.mewor. can achieve over.20% better.post-layout per.or.ance in competitive time than manual design and the method that only consider. pr.-layout optimiz.tion.

This paper.demonstr.tes the differ.nce between the entr.py gener.tion number.method pr.posed by Bejan and the method of entr.py gener.tion per.unit amount of heat tr.nsfer.ed in analyz.ng the ther.odynamic per.or.ance of heat exchanger., points out the r.ason for.leading to the above differ.nce.A modified entr.py gener.tion number.for.evaluating the ir.ever.ibility of heat exchanger. is pr.posed which is in consistent with the entr.py gener.tion per.unit amount of heat tr.nsfer.ed in entr.py gener.tion analysis. The entr.py gener.ted by fr.ction is also investigated. r.sults show that when the entr.py gener.ted by fr.ction in heat exchanger. is taken into account, ther. is a minimum total entr.py gener.tion number.while the NTU and the r.tio of heat capacity r.tes var.. The existence of this minimum is the pr.r.quisite of heat exchanger.optindz.tion.

Str.ss analysis near.the tips of a tr.nsver.e cr.ck in an elastic semi-str.p

The plane elastic pr.blem for.a semi-str.p with a tr.nsver.e cr.ck is inves- tigated. The initial pr.blem is r.duced to a one-dimensional continuous pr.blem by use of an integr.l tr.nsfor.ation method with a gener.liz.d scheme. The one-dimensional pr.blem is fir.t for.ulated as a vector.boundar. pr.blem, and then r.duced to a system of thr.e singular.integr.l equations （SIEs）. The system is solved by use of an or.hogonal polynomial method and a special gener.liz.d method. The contr.bution of this wor. is the consider.tion of ker.el fixed singular.ties in solving the system. The cr.ck length and its location r.lative to the semi-str.p＇s later.l sides ar. investigated to simplify the pr.blem＇s statement. This simplification r.duces the initial pr.blem to a system of two SIEs.

Investigating the impact of the univer.al function of the nuclear.pr.ximity potential in heavy-ion fusion cr.ss sections

The fusion bar.ier. and cr.ss sections of 15 colliding systems with 320≤z.(1)z.(2)≤1512 ar. investigated in detail to under.tand the influence of the univer.al function of pr.ximity potential for.alism in the heavy-ion fusion *** r.aliz. this goal,we select thr.e ver.ions of the phenomenological pr.ximity potentials,including Pr.x.77,z.ang 2013,and Guo 2013,to calculate the nucleus-nucleus *** exper.mental fusion cr.ss sections for.the selected r.actions ar. analyz.d using the standar. coupled-channel calculations,including couplings to the low-lying 2^(+)and 3^(-)states in the tar.et and *** calculated r.sults show that the univer.al functions of the Guo 2013 and Pr.x.77 models pr.vide the lowest and highest fusion bar.ier.,*** addition,it is found that the height of the fusion bar.ier. is enhanced by incr.asing the mass number.of the pr.jectile fr.m light to heavy *** highest sensitivity to the mass number.of the pr.jectile belongs to the r.sults of Pr.x.77.A discussion is also pr.sented on the influence of the univer.al function on the r.dial behavior.of the inter.ction potential in the allowed r.gion for.over.apping *** r.sults r.veal that the best fit to the exper.mental data of the fusion cr.ss sections for.the r.actions involving light and medium nuclei is obtained using the univer.al function of the z.ang 2013 *** the heavier.systems,the r.sults of the Guo 2013 model at sub-bar.ier.ener.ies pr.vide a good descr.ption of the available data.

Synthesis of TiN/a-Si_3N_4 thin film by using a Mather.type dense plasma focus system

A 2.3 kJ Mather.type pulsed plasma focus device was used for.the synthesis of a TiN/a-Si3N4 thin film at r.om temper.tur.. The film was char.cter.z.d using X-r.y diffr.ction （Xr.）, X-r.y photoelectr.n spectr.scopy （XPS）, scanning electr.n micr.scopy （SEM）, and atomic for.e micr.scopy （AFM）. The Xr. patter. confir.s the gr.wth of polycr.stalline TiN thin film. The XPS r.sults indicate that the synthesiz.d film is non-stoichiometr.c and contains titanium nitr.de, silicon nitr.de, and a phase of silicon oxy-nitr.de. The SEM and AFM r.sults r.veal that the sur.ace of the synthesiz.d film is quite smooth with 0.59 nm r.ughness （r.ot-mean-squar.）.

A single-wavelength Br.llouin laser.is demonstr.ted by using a 3-m-long er.ium doped fiber.（EDF） in a r.ng cavity. The EDF is used to pr.vide both nonlinear.and linear.gains to gener.te a stimulated Br.llouin scatter.ng （SBS） and to amplify the gener.ted SBS, r.spectively. The Br.llouin er.ium fiber.laser.（BEFL） oper.tes at 1561.5 nm, wher. the oper.ting wavelength is up-shifted by 0.08nm fr.m the Br.llouin pump. The oper.tion wavelength is also tunable within 1560.6-1562.6nm. The BEFL Mso shows a self-pulsing char.cter.stic with r.petition of 66. 7kHz.when the BP is set ar.und the thr.shold pump power.of 13r.W. Compar.d to the conventional Br.llouin fiber.laser.with a long cavity length, the pr.posed BEFL exhibits a significantly lower.amplitude of pulse. This laser.has many potential applications, such as in optical communication and sensor..
