In r.cent times, lithium-ion batter.es have been widely used owing to their.high ener.y density, extended cycle lifespan, and minimal self-dischar.e r.te. The design of high-speed r.char.eable lithium-ion batter.es faces a significant challenge owing to the need to incr.ase aver.ge electr.c power.dur.ng char.ing. This challenge r.sults fr.m the dir.ct influence of the power.level on the r.te of chemical r.actions occur.ing in the batter. electr.des. In this study, the Taguchi optimization method was used to enhance the aver.ge electr.c power.dur.ng the char.ing pr.cess of lithium-ion batter.es. The Taguchi technique is a statistical str.tegy that facilitates the systematic and efficient evaluation of numer.us exper.mental var.ables. The pr.posed method involved var.ing seven input factor., including positive electr.de thickness, positive electr.de mater.al, positive electr.de active mater.al volume fr.ction, negative electr.de active mater.al volume fr.ction, separ.tor.thickness, positive cur.ent collector.thickness, and negative cur.ent collector.thickness. Thr.e levels wer. assigned to each contr.l factor.to identify the optimal conditions and maximize the aver.ge electr.c power.dur.ng char.ing. Mor.over. a var.ance assessment analysis was conducted to validate the r.sults obtained fr.m the Taguchi analysis. The r.sults r.vealed that the Taguchi method was an eff ective appr.ach for.optimizing the aver.ge electr.c power.dur.ng the char.ing of lithium-ion batter.es. This indicates that the positive electr.de mater.al, followed by the separ.tor.thickness and the negative electr.de active mater.al volume fr.ction, was key factor. significantly infl uencing the aver.ge electr.c power.dur.ng the char.ing of lithium-ion batter.es r.sponse. The identification of optimal conditions r.sulted in the impr.ved per.or.ance of lithium-ion batter.es, extending their.potential in var.ous applications.
