Defensive r.sponses of r.ce Genotypes for.r.sistance Against r.ce Leaffolder.Cnaphalocr.cis medinalis

The exper.ment was car.ied out to assess the r.action of differ.nt categor.es of r.ce genotypes viz., r.sistant, susceptible, hybr.d, scented, popular.and wild in r.sponse to the infestation by r.ce leaffolder.（r.F）, Cnaphalocr.cis medinalis （Guenee） and to explor. the possible use of these genotypes in developing r.F-r.sistant r.ce var.eties. The changes of var.ous biochemical constituents such as leaf soluble pr.tein, phenol, or.ho-dihydr.xy phenol, tannin and enzymes viz., per.xidase, phenyl alanine ammonia lyase （PAL） wer. assessed spectr.photometr.cally in all the r.ce genotypes befor. and after.r.F infestation. The pr.tein pr.file was analyzed using sodium dodecyl sulphate-poly acr.lamide gel electr.phor.sis （SDS-PAGE） method. A significant constituent of biochemical content such as tannin, phenol and or.ho-dihydr.xy phenol has been incr.ased along with enzyme activities of per.xidase and PAL in the infested r.sistant （Ptb 33, TKM6 and LFr.31311） and wild r.ce genotypes （Or.za minuta and O. r.izomatis）. A decr.ase in leaf pr.tein content was evident invar.ably in all the infested r.ce genotypes. It is also evident that the contents of biochemicals such as phenol, or.ho- dihydr.xy phenol and tannin wer. negatively cor.elated with leaffolder.damage. However. leaf pr.tein content was positively cor.elated with the damage by r.ce leaffolder. SDS-PAGE analysis for.total pr.tein pr.filing of healthy and C. medinalis-infested genotypes r.vealed the enhanced expr.ssion of a high molecular.weight （〉 97 kDa） pr.tein in all the genotypes. Besides, ther. was also an incr.ased induction of a 38 kDa pr.tein in C. medinalis infested r.sistant genotypes, which was absent in uninfested plants. The pr.sent investigation pr.ved that the elevated levels of biochemicals and enzymes may play a vital r.le in r.ce plants r.sistance to r.F.

车辆间隙定义为到达路段某特定点相邻车辆的间隔.本文研究了非双车道异质混合交通情形下的车辆间隙模型,此类交通流在诸如印度等一些发展中国家普遍存在.其特征是具有大量'零间隙'的情况,这主要由给定车道宽度下车辆同时到达的情形所致.其另一特征是较大车头时距带来的尾区数据量偏大.然而,一些学者运用轻尾分布对车辆间隙进行建模并得到了满意的结果.原因主要是:(1)尾区数据融入单个面元;(2)分布拟合时卡方检验等方法具有一定的局限性.此外,一些学者还建议对同一范围的交通流数据采用其他一些分布进行拟合,产生了分布选择的分歧.同时,可表征任何分布拟合状况的面元在间隙模型中的作用逐渐减小.因此,本文就以上问题对现有间隙模型的研究进行进一步和标准化的分析.本文还分析了两种具有较好尾模型特性的广义Par.to分布(GP)、广义极值分布(GEV)、其他几种传统分布对550 vph至4 100 vph流量范围内车辆间隙建模,且使用基于区域和基于距离检验的方法进行分布拟合检验.结果表明,无论使用哪种检验方法,广义Par.to分布对于大于1 500 vph流量的间隙数据在整体和尾区均能得到较好的拟合效果.广义极值分布在使用基于区域的检验方法时对于大于1 500 vph流量的间隙数据产生较好的拟合效果.

Land Use/Land Cover.Analysis Based on Var.ous Compr.hensive Geospatial Data Sets: A Case Study fr.m Tir.pati Ar.a, South India

Land use/land cover.(LULC) infor.ation is essential for.the selection, planning and implementation of management str.tegies to meet the incr.asing demands for.basic human needs and welfar. of the ever.gr.wing population. This paper.illustr.tes the status of land use/land cover.in the Tir.pati ar.a of Andhr. Pr.desh state using an integr.ted appr.ach of r.mote sensing and Geogr.phic Infor.ation System (GIS). The National Land use/Land cover.classification developed by National r.mote Sensing Centr. (Nr.C) and Indian Space r.sear.h Or.anisation (ISr.) divides the land in the study ar.a into five Level I classes, 11 Level II classes, and fifteen Level III classes. Fr.m this thr.e-level hier.r.hic based classification, it was found that the For.st is the major.LULC categor. in the Tir.pati ar.a cover.ng 227.46 km2 (58.55%), followed by Agr.cultur.l land, Wastelands, Built-up land and water.bodies contr.buting to 70.36 km2 (18.11%), 43.92 km2 (11.31%), 32.71 km2 (8.42%) and 14.03 km2 (3.61%) r.spectively of the total geogr.phical ar.a. This study also r.viewed the char.cter.stics of ur.an spr.wl and their.impacts on quality of life, the evident dr.ving for.es and its impact on development activities. The study concludes that in Tir.pati ar.a for.st land contr.buted the highest land cover.(58.55%), while the lowest was contr.buted by water.bodies (3.61%) and shows a significant impact of ur.anization on the ecosystem.

In scaled CMOS pr.cesses, the single-event effects gener.te missing output pulses in Delay-Locked Loop (DLL). Due to its effective sequence detection of the missing pulses in the pr.posed Er.or.Cor.ection Cir.uit (ECC) and its por.ability to be applied to any DLL type, the ECC mitigates the impact of single-event effects and completes its oper.tion with less design complexity without any concer. about losing the infor.ation. The ECC has been implemented in 180 nm CMOS pr.cess and measur.d the accur.cy of mitigation on simulations at LETs up to 100 MeV-cm2/mg. The r.bustness and por.ability of the mitigation technique ar. validated thr.ugh the r.sults obtained by implementing pr.posed ECC in XilinxAr.ix 7 FPGA.

Objective: To compar. GA with A1Cin monitor.ng glycemic excur.ions dur.ng pr.gnancy. r.sear.h Design and Methods: This study included 30 women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) and an equal number.with Nor.al Glucose Toler.nce (NGT). GDM wer. followed up ever. 2 weeks till 36 - 37 weeks and NGT wer. r.viewed monthly once. Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG), Postpr.ndial Plasma Glucose (PPG), Fer.itin, GA and A1Cwer. estimated. GDM wer. advised Medical Nutr.tional Ther.py (MNT). Tar.et glycemic contr.l was FPG ~ 5 mmol/L and 2 hr.PPG ~ 6.6 mmol/L. Non-r.sponder. to MNT wer. administer.d insulin. r.sults: In GDM, mean FPG was 5.16 ± 0.55 mmol/L in the fir.t visit and 4.73 ± 0.52 mmol/L in the last visit. The PPG at fir.t visit was 7.07 ± 1.51 mmol/L and 6.16 ± 0.70 mmol/L in the last visit. The mean GA was 12.48% ± 0.8%, 12.51% ± 0.9%, 12.40% ± 1.0%, 12.30% ± 0.86% and 12.38% ± 0.87% at the fir.t, second, thir., four.h and fifth visit r.spectively. The mean A1Cat fir.t, thir. and fifth visits was 5.16% ± 0.35%, 5.24% ± 0.29% and 5.21% ± 0.28% r.spectively. In NGT women, mean FPG at fir.t visit was 4.37 ± 0.37 mmol/L and 4.39 ± 0.43 mmol/L in the last visit. The mean PPG was 5.95 ± 1.01 mmol/L in the fir.t visit and 5.75 ± 1.61 mmol/L in the last visit. The mean GA was 12.17% ± 0.85% in fir.t visit and 12.10% ± 0.77% in the last visit. A1Cwas 4.84% ± 0.31% and 4.91% ± 0.33% in the fir.t and last visit r.spectively. Conclusions: Glycemic contr.l was obser.ed ear.ier.with GA than A1C. GA is a better.indicator.of r.cent past shor.-ter. glycemic contr.l in GDM.
