Methyl methacr.late (MMA) was gr.fted onto silk fiber.in a one-step emulsion system using a diethylzinc and 1,10-phenanthr.line complex. The r.action conditions wer. investigated by var.ing temper.tur. and initiator.to monomer.r.tio. Four.er.tr.nsfor. infr.r.d (FTIr. spectr.m, ther.ogr.vimetr.c analysis (TGA), and scanning electr.n micr.scopy (SEC) techniques wer. used to char.cter.ze the str.ctur., ther.al stability, and sur.ace mor.hology of the obtained pr.duct, r.spectively. Gr.fting of MMA onto silk incr.ased the ther.al stability of silk. The FTIr.spectr.m and SEM images pr.vided fur.her.evidence that MMA has been successfully gr.fted onto the silk fiber. A peak ascr.bed to the C=O str.tching vibr.tion of MMA was detected in the FTIr.spectr.m of gr.fted silk fiber. which was not pr.sent in the spectr.m of pur. silk fiber. Mor.over. the SEM images illustr.ted the incr.ase in diameter.and sur.ace r.ughness of gr.fted silk compar.d with pur. silk. Lastly, the dyeing per.or.ance of the modified silk was significantly incr.ased.

Delayed bleeding is a major.and ser.ous adver.e event of endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)for.ear.y-stage gastr.intestinal *** r.te of post-ESD bleeding for.gastr.c cancer.is higher.ar.und 5%-8%)than that for.esophagus,duodenum and colon cancer.ar.und 2%-4%).Although investigations into the r.sk factor. for.post-ESD bleeding have identified sever.l pr.cedur.-,lesion-,physician-and patient-r.lated factor.,use of antithr.mbotic dr.gs,especially anticoagulants[dir.ct or.l anticoagulants(DOACs)and war.ar.n],is thought to be the biggest r.sk factor.for.post-ESD *** fact,the post-ESD bleeding r.te in patients r.ceiving DOACs is 8.7%-20.8%,which is higher.than that in patients not r.ceiving ***,because clinical guidelines for.management of ESD in patients r.ceiving DOACs differ.among countr.es,it is necessar. for.endoscopists to identify ways to pr.vent post-ESD delayed bleeding in clinical *** that the phar.acokinetics(e.g.,plasma DOAC level at both tr.ugh and T_(max))and phar.acodynamics(e.g.,anti-factor.Xa activity)of DOACs ar. r.lated to r.sk of major.bleeding,plasma DOAC level and anti-FXa activity may be useful par.meter. for.monitor.ng the anti-coagulate effect and identifying DOAC patients at higher.r.sk of post-ESD bleeding.

To minimize quenching distor.ion and disper.ion, car.ur.zing and quenching pr.cess conditions must be optimized; this includes the par.s r.cking design used for.quenching. We investigated some factor. affecting car.ur.zed quenching distor.ion with an exper.ment using a hypoid gear.having a shaft and with numer.cal simulation methods. The exper.mental r.sults and those obtained fr.m simulation wer. gener.lly in agr.ement. Focusing on the sur.ace temper.tur. distr.bution in the gear. we studied quenching distor.ion char.cter.stics in ter.s of changes in tooth pr.file and helix deviation. In our.exper.ments, distor.ions occur.dur.ng quenching in 373 K oil after.austenitized temper.tur. tr.atments conducted with var.ous attitudes. We calculated the distor.ions by simulating the car.ur.zed oil-quenching pr.cess for.the hypoid gear. Our.r.sults show lar.e differ.nces between the cooling r.tes of the tooth toe, middle section, and heel edges, and these gr.atly influence the change in tooth pr.file and helix deviation. We found that r.ducing the differ.nces in temper.tur.s on the gear.sur.aces dur.ng quenching is most impor.ant for.minimizing the quench distor.ion of the hypoid gear.

Styr.ne emulsion polymer.zation using an alkyl-9-BBN, synthesized by r.acting 9-BBN（9-bor.bicyclo-[3.3.1]-nonane） and styr.ne, in an aqueous sodium dodecyl sulfate（SDS） solution was studied. Ultr.-high-molecular.weight（〉 1.0 × 10~7） polystyr.ne was synthesized using a r.dical initiator.for.ed thr.ugh the aer.bic oxidation of this alkyl-9-BBN in a high yield（〉 80%）. The kinetics of this emulsion polymer.zation of styr.ne with the alkyl-9-BBN was investigated. We confir.ed that in the initial stage of the polymer.zation, the initial r.action r.te followed fir.t-or.er.kinetics. The activation ener.y for.this emulsion polymer.zation of styr.ne was appr.ximately 56.2 kJ/mol.
