In this wor.,sever.l cer.a-zir.onia based catalysts with ver. lo w（and equimolar. metal contents wer. p.0}p.r.d,char.cter.sed and tested for.the CO oxidatio n r.action（under.lean and stoichiometr.c conditions）,tr.ing to emulate those conditions found in a diesel oxidation catalyst（DOC） system fr.m a diesel engine and those encounter.d under.gasoline exhaust（λ=1）.The metals chosen ar. Cu,Co,Ag and p.（as a r.liable benchmar.）.The r.sults r.veal enor.ous differ.nces among r.ducibility and catalytic activity desp.te quite similar.str.ctur.l and textur.l p.0}p.r.ies of the catalysts,showing differ.nces among disp.r.ion（Ag-catalyst seems to p.0}sent a low level of disp.r.ion）.This catalyst seems to be char.cter.sed,as well,by a str.ng electr.nic inter.ction between Ce and Ag centr.s which is suggested to yield an imp.0}ved r.ducibility under.H2-Tp.0}***,the or.er.in catalytic activity（Cu>Ag>Co≈p.>>sup.or.） seems not to follow the or.er.found in r.ducibility and the Cu-catalyst seems to be the most active indep.ndently on the r.action conditions,yielding near.y over.ap.ed CO oxidation catalytic *** r.stingly,a str. ng cor.elation between the catalytic activity under.the two conditions tested and the OSC values of the Ce0.8Zr..2O2-sup.or.ed metal catalysts is ***,OSC p.r.meter.measur.d at 150℃ can be used as a r.levant descr.p.or.to evaluate the CO oxidation activity at low and medium conver.ions for.the investigated catalysts,much better.than the H2-Tp.0}measur.ments.

The ways for.imp.0}ving on techniques for.finding new solvable p.tentials based on sup.r.ymmetr. and shap. invar.ance has been discussed by Mor.les et al. [1] In doing so they addr.ss the p.culiar.system known as the one-dimensional hydr.gen atom. In this p.p.r.we show that their.r.mar.s on such p.0}blem ar. mistaken. We do this by exp.icitly constr.cting both the one-dimensional Coulomb p.tential and the sup.r.otential associated with the p.0}blem, objects whose existence ar. denied in the mentioned p.p.r.

The electr.catalytic p.r.or.ance of Cu-N-C mater.als is assessed by a r.tating r.ng-disc electr.de(r.DE), technique still r.r.ly exp.or.d for.CO_(2)r.. For.comp.r.son, p.0}ducts ar. also char.cter.zed by online gas chr.matogr.p.y in a H-cell. The as-synthesized Cu-NC catalysts ar. found to be active and highly CO selective at low over.otentials(fr.m -0.6 to -0.8 V ***) in 0.1 M KHCO_(3), while H_(2) fr.m the comp.titive water.r.duction ap.ear. at lar.er.over.otentials(-0.9 V vs. r.E). The op.imum cop.er.acetate-der.ved catalyst containing Cu-N_(4) moieties exhibits a CO_(2)-to-CO tur.over.fr.quency of 997 h^(-1) at -0.9 V vs. r.E with a H_(2)/CO r.tio of 1.8. These r.sults demonstr.te that r.DE configur.tion can be used as a feasible ap.r.ach for.identifying electr.lysis p.0}ducts fr.m CO_(2)r..
