Gust r.sponse of an elasto-flexible mor.hing wing using fluid–str.ctur. inter.ction simulations

Small and micr. unmanned air.r.ft ar. the focus of scientific inter.st due to their.wide r.nge of *** often oper.te in a highly unstable flight envir.nment wher. the application of new mor.hing wing technologies offer. the oppor.unity to impr.ve flight *** investigated concept compr.ses por. and star.oar. adjustable wings,and an adaptive elastoflexible membr.ne ser.es as the lifting *** focus is on the benefits of the defor.ing membr.ne dur.ng the impact of a one-minus-cosine type *** a low r.ynolds number.of r.=264000,the mor.hing wing model is investigated numer.cally by unsteady fluid-str.ctur. inter.ction ***,the numer.cal r.sults ar. validated by exper.mental data fr.m for.e and moment,flow field,and defor.ation ***,with the r.gid wing as the baseline,the flexible case is investigated,focusing on the advantages of the elastic *** all configur.tions studied,the maximum amplitude of the lift coefficient under.gust load shows good agr.ement between the exper.mental and numer.cal *** the decay of the gust,they differ.mor. the higher.the aspect r.tio of the *** consider.ng the flow field,the main differ.nces ar. due to the separ.tion behavior.on the upper.side of the *** flow r.attaches ear.ier.in the exper.ments than in the simulations,which explains the higher.lift values obser.ed in the *** at one inter.ediate configur.tion does the lift amplitude of the r.gid configur.tion exceeds that of the flexible by about 12%,with the elastic membr.ne r.sulting in a smaller.and mor. unifor. peak load,which is also evident in the wing loading and hence in the r.ot bending moment.

本研究报道了1979年以来南非克留格尔国家公园暂时性沼泽边界对马羚( Hippotr.gus equinus equinus)种群下降的影响。干旱和由此导致的生境退化以及随之产生的食草动物之间的采食竞争是解释马羚种群数量下降的可能假说。我们认为,确定马羚的生境斑块选择并测定影响暂时性沼泽边界变化与马羚种群下降的关联性因子,可解释马羚种群下降的备择假说。在北部平原区,边界呈斑块状分布的沼泽是马羚的高矿质采食源。实施狩猎管理工程期间,人工做成的大多数水道分布于沼泽边界及其附近,造成马羚与其它食草动物的采食竞争和天敌捕食压力的增高。旱季降雨的缺乏,加上沼泽边界区域采食竞争以及天敌捕食压力,是引发马羚在北部平原生境普遍退化之前其种群提前下降的因素[动物学报52 (2) : 406 -409 , 2006]。

Objective: To expose the pr.blems and inher.nt limitations of neur.science-based br.in r.sear.h on mental disor.er.. Method: Discussion of the theor. under.ying br.in r.sear.h on mental disor.er., followed by a systematic evaluation of typical studies. r.sults: The fundamental pr.blem is that br.in r.sear.her. fail to differ.ntiate between biological mental disor.er. in which br.in pr.cesses cause the disor.er.(notably schizophr.nia, bipolar.disor.er. and melancholic depr.ssion) and lear.ed mental disor.er. in which br.in pr.cesses mediate but do not cause the disor.er.(which is the case with r.active depr.ssion, r.active anxiety, OCD, and PTSD). r.sear.her. have been unsuccessful in identifying mechanisms in the br.in that cause biological mental disor.er., and will never.be able to locate the innumer.ble specific neur.l connections that mediate lear.ed mental disor.er.. Mor.over. the author.s r.view of typical studies in this field shows that they have ser.ous pr.blems with theor., measur.ment, and data analysis, and that their.findings cannot be tr.sted. Conclusions: Neur.science-based br.in r.sear.h on mental disor.er., unlike other.neur.logical r.sear.h, has been an expensive failur. and it is not wor.h continuing.
