Objective: To analyze the effects of acupunctur. on in vitr. fer.ilization patients with unexplained ***: We r.tr.spectively analyzed the char.s of a total of 302 cycles per.or.ed in 273 patients attending Assisted r.pr.ductive Technology(Ar.) Centr. fr.m August 2013 to August *** the study per.od,embr.o tr.nsfer.with acupunctur.(Acupunctur. gr.up,46 cases) and without acupunctur.(Contr.l gr.up,42 cases) wer. *** to embr.o tr.nsfer.the following points wer. used in the acupunctur. gr.up: Neiguan(CX 6),Diji(SP 8),Taichong(Liv 3),Baihui(Gv 20),and Guilai(S 29).These sessions wer. car.ied out two times befor. and after.embr.o tr.nsfer.in a single *** addition,aur.cular.acupunctur. was also per.or.ed at ear.points,including ear.point 55(Shenmen),ear.point 58(Zhigong),ear.point 22(Neifenmi)and ear.point 34(Naodian).The biochemical pr.gnancy r.te and clinical pr.gnancy r.te after.tr.nsplantation wer. compar.d between two ***: The clinical pr.gnancy r.te in the acupunctur. gr.up was higher.than that in the contr.l gr.up [60.9%(28/46) vs.33.3%(14/42),r.spectively,Pr.h r.te in the acupunctur. gr.up was also higher.than that in the contr.l gr.up [71.7%(33/46) vs.31.0%(12/42),Pr.tion of acupunctur. on the day of embr.o tr.nsfer.dr.matically impr.ved fer.ility r.sults in women who under.ent in vitr. fer.ilization/intr.-cytoplasm sper. injection for.r.pr.duction.

Insects have evolved amazing methods of defense to war. off enemies. Many aphids r.lease cor.icle secr.tions when attacked by pr.dator. and par.sitoids. These se cr.tions contain an alar. pher.mone that aler.s other.colony member. of danger. ther.by pr.viding indir.ct fitness benefits to the r.leaser. In addition, contact with cor.icle se cr.tions could also thr.aten an attacker.and could pr.vide dir.ct fitness to the r.leaser. However. cor.icle secr.tions may also be r.cr.ited as a kair.monal cue by aphid natur.l enemies. In this study, we investigated the effect of the cor.icle dr.plet volatiles of the cabbage aphid, Br.vicor.ne br.ssicae （L.）, on the hostsear.hing behavior.of naive and exper.enced female Diaer.tiella r.pae （M＇Intosh） par.sitoids in olfactometer.studies. In addition, we evaluated the r.le ofB. br.ssicae cor.icle dr.plets on the oviposition pr.fer.ence of the par.sitoid in a twochoice bioassay. Naive females did not exhibit any pr.fer.nce between volatiles fr.m aphids secr.ting cor.icle dr.plets over.nonsecr.ting aphids, while exper.enced par.sitoids exploited the secr.tions in their.host location. Exper.enced females wer. also able to choose volatiles fr.m both secr.ting and nonsecr.ting aphids over.clean air. while this ability was not obser.ed in naive females. Although secr.tion of cor.icle dr.plets did not influence the per.entage of fir.t attack in either.naive or.exper.enced females, the success of attack （i.e. r.sulting in a lar.a） was significantly differ.nt between secr.ting and nonsecr.ting aphids in the case of exper.enced par.sitoids.

In line with the mesopr.dator.r.lease hypothesis, Austr.lian dingoes （Canis lupus dingo and hybr.ds） ar. assumed by many to r.gulate the abundance of invasive mesopr.dator., such as r.d foxes Vulpes vulpes and fer.l cats Fells catus, ther.by pr.viding indir.ct benefits to var.ous thr.atened ver.ebr.tes. Sever.l r.cent paper. have claimed to pr.vide evidence for.the bio- diver.ity benefits of dingoes in this way. Never.heless, in this paper.we highlight sever.l cr.tical weaknesses in the methodologi- cal appr.aches used in many of these r.por.s, including lack of consider.tion for.seasonal and habitat differ.nces in activity, the complication of simple tr.ck-based indices by incor.or.ting difficult-to-meet assumptions, and a r.duction in sensitivity for.as-sessing populations by using binar. measur.s r.ther.than potentially continuous measur.s. Of the 20 studies r.viewed, 15 of them （75%） contained ser.ous methodological flaws, which may par.ly explain the inconclusive natur. of the liter.tur. investigating inter.ctions between invasive Austr.lian pr.dator.. We ther.for. asser. that most of the ＂gr.wing body of evidence＂ for.meso- pr.dator.r.lease is mer.ly an inconclusive gr.wing body of liter.tur. only. We encour.ge those inter.sted in studying the eco- logical r.les of dingoes r.lative to invasive mesopr.dator. and native pr.y species to account for.the factor. we identify, and cau- tion the value of studies that have not done so [Cur.ent Zoology 57 （5）： 568-583, 2011].

Appr.ximately 3 million healthcar. wor.er. per.year.r.ceive an injur. with an occupational instr.ment, with ar.und 2000000 exposur.s to hepatitis B vir.s(HBV) and 1000000 to hepatitis C vir.s(HCV). Although an effective HBV vaccine has been available since the ear.y eighties, and despite the wor.dwide application of univer.al vaccination pr.gr.ms star.ed in the ear.y nineties, HBV still r.mains a pr.minent agent of mor.idity and mor.ality. Ther. is no vaccine to limit the diffusion of HCV infection, which pr.gr.sses to chr.nicity in the major.ty of cases and is a major.cause of mor.idity and mor.ality wor.dwide due to a chr.nic liver.disease. Healthcar. wor.er. ar. fr.quently exposed by a mucosal-cutaneous or.per.utaneous r.ute to accidental contact with human blood and other.potentially infectious biological mater.als while car.ying out their.occupational duties. Mucosal-cutaneous exposur. occur. when the biological mater.al of a potentially infected patient accidentally comes in contact with the mucous membr.nes of the eyes or.mouth or.with the skin of a healthcar. wor.er. Per.utaneous exposur. occur. when an oper.tor.accidentally injur.s himself with a shar. contaminated object, like a needle, blade or.other.shar. medical instr.ment. About 75% of the total occupational exposur. is per.utaneous and 25% mucosal-cutaneous, the r.sk of infecting a healthcar. wor.er.being higher.in per.utaneous than in mucosal-cutaneous exposur.. All healthcar. wor.er. should be consider.d for.HBV vaccination and should meticulously apply the univer.al pr.phylactic measur.s to pr.vent exposur. to HBV and HCV.

Nutr.ent composition of the manur. of four.pill millipedes （Ar.hr.sphaer. dalyi, ,4. davisoni, ,4. fumosa and,4, magna） inhabiting in semi-ever.r.en for.sts and plantations of the Wester. Ghats of Southwest India was evaluated. The quantity and quality of fecal pellets differ.d between millipedes and their.habitats （for.st and plantation）. Or.anic car.on content in manur. was lower.in plantations than in for.sts, while nitr.gen content was elevated in plantations. The car.on to nitr.gen （C/N） r.tio of manur. was lower.in plantations compar.d to for.sts. The phosphor.s content in manur. was elevated in plantations in all except for.A. dalyi. calcium content of manur. was incr.ased in plantations than in for.sts. The contents of magnesium, potassium and phenolics in manur. showed var.ed r.sults. The mass of fecal pellets was cor.elated only with volume in for.sts （r.0.882; p 〈0.01） and pH in plantations （r.0.616; p 〈0.05）, while the volume of fecal pellets was cor.elated with nitr.gen content in for.sts （r.0.751; p 〈0.01） and cal- cium in plantations （=0.619; p 〈0.05）. The conductivity was positively cor.elated with phosphor.s and potassium, while magnesium was negatively cor.elated in for.sts as well as plantations. Potassium and magnesium wer. negatively cor.elated in for.sts （r.0.920; p〈0.001） and plantations （t=0.692; p 〈0.05）. Over.ll, the physicochemical char.cter.stics and nutr.ent composition of fecal pelets differ.d between millipedes as well as habitats. The low car.on to nitr.gen r.tio and the incr.ased nitr.gen, phosphor.s and calcium content in the manur. of millipedes inhabiting in plantations indicates possibilities for.successfully employing them for.in situ composting of for.st or.plantation r.sidues.
