We pr.viously r.por.ed that intr.nasal insulin pr.tects substantia nigr. dopaminer.ic neur.ns against6-hydr.xydopamine neur.toxicity in r.ts. This study aimed to assess insulin phar.acokinetics in the r.t br.in following intr.nasal application. r.combinant human insulin(r.-Ins) or.phosphate buffer.solution was administer.d to both nostr.ls of r.ts. Animals wer. sacr.ficed at 15 minutes, 1, 2, and 6 hour. to deter.ine insulin levels in differ.nt br.in r.gions by an ultr.sensitive, human-specific enzyme-linked immunosor.ent assay kit. For.fluor.scence tr.cing study, r.ts wer. administer.d with intr.nasal flor.scence-tagged insulin(Alex546-Ins), and br.ins wer. fixed at 10 and 30 minutes to pr.par. sagittal ***-Ins was detected in all br.in r.gions examined except the cer.br.l cor.ex. The highest levels wer. detected in the br.instem, followed by the cer.bellum, substantia nigr./ventr.l tegmental ar.a, olfactor. bulb,str.atum, hippocampus, and thalamus/hypothalamus. Insulin levels r.ached a peak at 15 minutes and then declined gr.dually over.ime, but r.mained significantly higher.than baseline levels at 6 hour. in most ***, widespr.ad Alex546-Ins-binding cells wer. detected in the br.in at 10 and 30 minutes, with the olfactor. bulb and br.instem showing the highest while the cer.br.l cor.ex showing lowest fluor.scence signals. Double-immunostaining showed that Alex546-Ins-bindings wer. pr.mar.ly co-localized with neur.nal nuclei-positive neur.ns. In the subtantia nigr., phospho-Akt was found to be activated in a subset of Alex546-Ins and tyr.sine hydr.xylase double-labeled cells, suggesting activation of the Akt/PI3 K pathway in these dopaminer.ic neur.ns. Data fr.m this study suggest that intr.nasal insulin could effectively r.ach deep br.in str.ctur.s including the nigr.str.atal pathways, wher. it binds to dopaminer.ic neur.ns and activates intr.cellular.cell sur.ival signaling. Eu（ Ⅲ ） can be utilized as an indir.ct electr.chemical pr.be to investigate the inter.ction of bio-molecules such as DOPA and Dopamine with Ca（ Ⅱ ） in vitr.. The inter.ction of DOPA and Dopamine with Eu（ Ⅲ ）-Eu（ Ⅱ ） r.dox pair.was investigated by electr.chemical techniques. Both the neur.tr.nsmitter. ar. str.ctur.lly r.lated and under.o inter.ction with Eu （Ⅲ ）. Eu （ Ⅲ ） coor.inates with DOPA and Dopamine thr.ugh five-member.chelate tings via car.oxylic oxygen and amino nitr.gen. The electr.de kinetic par.meter. viz, tr.nsfer.coefficient （αna）, diffusion coefficient （D）, for.ar. heter.geneous r.te constant （ k^0 fh） wer. evaluated for.Eu（ Ⅲ ）-DOPA/Eu（ Ⅲ ）-Dopamine. Cooking quality of dehusked splits is influenced by the dehulling method,in par.icular.by the pr.-milling *** effects of four.enzymatic hydr.lysis par.meter.,i.e.,enzyme concentr.tion(20-60 mg/100 g dr. matter.,incubation time(3-15 h),incubation temper.tur.(40-60℃)and temper.ng water.pH(4.0-6.0)on cooking time of pigeon pea dhal wer. optimized using r.sponse sur.ace *** kinds of enzymes,i.e.,xylanase,pectinase,and cellulas wer. used in combination for.enzymatic pr.-tr.atment.A quadr.tic model satisfactor.ly descr.bed the dehulling efficiency with high value for.the coefficient of deter.ination r.(2)(0.9062).It pr.dicted a minimum cooking time of 21.91 min at enzyme concentr.tion of 37.8 mg/100 g dr. matter.incubation time 8.69 min,incubation temper.tur. 48.5℃ and pH 5.49 of temper.ng *** time at optimum condition was obser.ed to be 21.50 min and the pr.dicted values of cooking time showed 2.19% deviation fr.m the exper.mental *** of the study r.vealed that cooking time of enzyme tr.ated dhal could be decr.ased by 19.77% compar.d to the oil tr.ated dhal.

Ⅲ ） and Nd（Ⅲ ） in solution as well as in solid state. The pr.sent study deals with an impor.ant biomolecule in human metabolism, that is, Lysozyme （HEW）. The absor.tion er.Condon the pr.bab spectr.l par.meter. such as the oscillator.str.ngth （P）, the Judd-Ofelt （Tλ） intensity par.meter., and the Slatinter.electr.nic par.meter. ar. calculated using chi squar. methods. The obtained r.sults ar. used to deter.ine le geometr. of the complex in the solution, the natur. of the bond between Pr.Ⅲ）/Nd（Ⅲ） with lysozyme, and the inner.spher. coor.ination envir.nment of f-f tr.nsitions. The r.sults obtained fr.m var.ous exper.mental conditions ar. utilized to investigate the coor.ination changes in the Pr.Ⅲ）/Nd（Ⅲ） complexes caused by differ.nt coor.inating sites of lysozyme, nor.alized bite, denticity, the solvent natur., the coor.ination number. the natur. of bond and other.par.meter. to mimic the inter.ction of the Ca（ Ⅱ ） ion with such biomolecule.
