Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)has one of the fastestgrowing rates of cancer-related incidence and mortalityin the United States(U.S.)(1-3).From 2009 to 2013,theaverage annual percent change(AAPC)for liver cancerincidence became the highest among other reported cancersfor both males(+2.9%)and females(+3.8%)(1).In addition,cancer-related mortality rates for liver cancer are the highestamong solid malignancies from 2010 to 2014 for males(+2.6%)and females(+3.0%)(1).

To investigate the flow and heat-transfer behaviors of magnetofluidized beds, an experimental facilitywas designed. A constant uniform magnetic field is produced by a Helmholtz electromagnet. The nature of fiuidization and heat-transfer characteristics of a horizontal electrically heated tube immersed in the bed were measured. The bed material is iron shots. Depending upon the intensity of magnetic field (weak, moderate and strong), the bed pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient are classified into three ranges of magnetic fields. The range of variation of maximum magnetic-field intensity is from 0 to about 20690 A/m.

BACKGrOUND:Developments in information technology(IT)have driven a push in healthcare innovation in the emergency department(ED).Many of these applications rely on mobile technology(MT)such as smartphones but not everyone is comfortable with MT *** study aims to characterize the technology usage behavior of users in the ED so as to guide the implementation of IT interventions in the ***:A cross-sectional survey was conducted in the emergency department of a tertiary *** and their caregivers aged 21 and above were *** survey collected demographic information,technology usage patterns,and participant reported comfort level in the usage of *** performed descriptive statistics and multivariate logistic regression to identify factors differentially associated with comfort in usage of ***:A total of 498 participants were recruited,and 299(60%)were *** was the most commonly written and read language(66.9%)and 64.2%reported a comfort level of 3/5 or more in using *** that were associated with being comfortable in using MT include having a tertiary education,being able to read and write English,as well as being a frequent user of *** were more likely to display these ***:A large proportion of ED patients are not comfortable in the usage of *** that predicted comfort level in the usage of MT were common amongst *** interventions should take this into consideration in the design of MT interventions.

We consider the multidimensional abstract linear integral equation of Volterra type (1), as the limit of discrete Stieltjes-type systems and we prove results on the existence of continuous solutions. The functions x, α and f are Banach space-valued defined on a compact interval r of , r t is a subinterval of r depending on t ∈ r and (⋆) ∫ denotes either the Bochner-Lebesgue integral or the Henstock integral. The results presented here generalize those in [1] and are in the spirit of [3]. As a consequence of our approach, it is possible to study the properties of (1) by transferring the properties of the discrete systems. The Henstock integral setting enables us to consider highly oscillating functions.

In this work,sol-gel dip-coating technique was used to elaborate ZnO pure and ZnO/Al *** impact of Al-doped concentration on the structural,optical,surface morphological and electrical properties of the elaborated samples was *** was found that better electrical and optical performances have been obtained for an Al concentration equal to 5%,where the ZnO thin films exhibit a resistivity value equal to 1.64104 Ω·***,highest transparency has been recorded for the same Al concentration *** obtained results from this investigation make the developed thin film structure a potential candidate for high optoelectronic performance applications.

Land cover in Kenya is in a state of flux at different spatial and temporal *** compromises environmental integrity and socioeconomic stability of the population hence increasing their vulnerability to the externalities of environmental *** Oroba-Kibos catchment area in western Kenya is one locality where rapid land use changes have taken place over the last 30 *** shrubs,swamps,natural forests and other critical ecosystems have been converted on the altar of agriculture,human settlement,fuel wood and *** paper presents the results of a study that aimed at providing spatially-explicit information for effective remedial response through(a) Mapping the land cover;(b) Identifying the spatial distribution of land cover changes;(c) Determining the nature,rates and magnitude of the land cover changes,and;(d) Establishing the drivers of land use leading to land cover changes in Oroba-Kibos catchment ***-temporal Landsat TM imagery,field observation,household survey and ancillary data were ***-field classification of the Landsat TM imagery was performed in a GIS and the resultant land cover maps assessed using the field observation ***-classification comparison of the maps was then done to detect changes in land cover that had occurred between 1994 and *** was used to analyze the household survey data and attribute the detected land cover changes to their *** findings showed that 9 broad classes characterize the catchment area including the natural forests,swamps,natural water bodies,woodlands,shrublands,built-up lands,grasslands,bare lands and *** are dominant and accounted for about 65%(57122 ha) of the total land in 1994,which increased at the rate of 0.89% to 73%(64772 ha) in 2008,while natural water bodies has the least spatial coverage accounting for about 0.6%(561 ha) of the total land in 1994,which diminished at the rate of 3.57% to 0.3%(260 ha) in ***,altitude,access and rights to

To predict the movement of an existing creeping landslide, monitoring and analysis of hydrological parameters are crucial This paper analyses the hydrological parameters of an existing creeping landslide site in western Japan. The groundwater flow and resulting fluctuation in pore water pressure at the slip layer of a sliding block was simulated using a groundwater flow model. A quasithree-dimensional factor of safety of the block was obtained by combining the groundwater model with slope stability analysis methods. The results show that for prediction purposes at a creeping landslide site the time series analysis using longterm data is of limited use, because the fluctuations of ground surface movement and hydrological parameters are not completely synchronized when the factor of safety of the slope soil is in the creep movement range. The ground surface movement rate dropped after each episode of relatively big movement, even when the hydrological parameters were constant. The factor of safety of the sliding block was more influenced by groundwater recharge from the hills than by rainfall. Pore water pressure fluctuation obtained from groundwater flow model resulting from specific rainfall events indicated better relations between fluctuations in pore water pressure and ground surface movement.
