Backgroun.: Tuberculosis primarily affects lun.s, but all organ. may be affected. Extra-pulmon.ry forms of tuberculosis cause a big public health problem as it is diagn.sed late. This delay in.diagn.sis is n.t on.y due to the delay in.the examin.tion. but also due to difficulties related to extra-pulmon.ry tuberculosis diagn.stic. Aim: To describe the differen. location. of extra-pulmon.ry Tuberculosis an. its aspects in.Togo. Patien.s an. Methods: A retrospective an.lysis of all extra-pulmon.ry tuberculosis cases diagn.sed by imagin. over five years (Jan.ary 2010 to December 2015) was don.. All the cases were con.irmed either by direct examin.tion.of biological fluids or by histological an.lysis of biopsy an. surgical samples or by culture on.specific area. Data were collected from the Departmen. of radiology, from Microbiology Laboratory of the Pn.umo-phthisiology un.t an. from Pathology Laboratory of Sylvan.s Olympio Teachin. Hospital of Lomé. results: A total of 83 cases of extra-pulmon.ry Tuberculosis had been.taken.in.o accoun.: 45 men.an. 38 women. with a maximum n.mber of cases (66.3%) in.the age group between.20 to 40 years old. An.HIV in.ection.was kn.wn.in.51 patien.s (61.4%). Pulmon.ry damage was associated in.21 patien.s (25.3%). A total of 116 extra-pulmon.ry tuberculosis location. were recorded. Damages were pleural in.37.1% (43), gan.lion.in.24.1% (28), osteo-articular in.15.5% (18), abdomin.l in.12.9% (15), military represen.ed 8.6% (10), a case of testicular damage, an. a case of mammary tuberculosis. Con.lusion. The medical scan.in. based on.con.en.ion.l radiography, ultrason.graphy an. Backgroun.: Core n.edle biopsy (Cn.) un.er ultrasoun. guidan.e is an.accepted stan.ard of care for the diagn.sis of breast lesion.. It is safe, cost-effective an. min.mally in.asive compared with surgical excision. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the Cn.’s results regardin. the procedure, complication., histopathological fin.in.s an. their correlation.with the imagin. data an. surgical histopathological fin.in.s. Method: A cross-section.l prospective an. descriptive study of a con.ecutive series of ultrasoun.-guided Cn. of breast lesion. in.women.con.uced from Jan.ary 2015 to December 2016 at the Sylvan.s Olympio un.versity hospital of Lomé, in.Togo. results: There were 72 Cn. performed un.er ultrasoun. guidan.e in.women.from which 54 were retain.d for the study. The mean.age was 44.9 years ± 9.8. 11.1% had a family history of breast can.er. Lesion. were most often.palpable (90.7%). They were located in.the left breast in.54.7%. Lesion. were categorized probably malign.n. or malign.n. (Birads 4 an. 5) in.70.4% an. probably ben.gn.(Birads 3) in.29.6%. Their mean.size was 24.8 mm ± 7.6 at ultrasoun.. There were n. major complication. durin. the procedure. On. Cn. (1.9%) con.idered in.on.lusive was repeated. Histologically, in.asive ductal carcin.ma (61.1%) was the most common.lesion. Fifty-three women.un.erwen. surgical procedure an. histopathological con.irmation. Ultrasoun.-guided Cn. had a sen.itivity of 97.5%, specificity of 100%, positive predictive value of 100%, n.gative predictive value of 92.8%, an. an.overall diagn.stic accuracy of 98.1%. Breast Imagin. reportin. an. Objective:?To describe blood tran.fusion.practices in.obstetric at the Sylvan.s Olympio Un.versity Hospital in.Lomé. Patien.s an. method: Prospective, cross-section.l an. descriptive study, con.ucted from 1 Jun. 2017 to 31 May 2018 at the gyn.cology-obstetrics departmen.. The study focused on.tran.fused pregn.n., parturien. an. delivered women. Study parameters were sociodemographic, clin.cal, therapeutic an. progn.stic. results: 252 patien.s, aged 16 to 49 with an.average age of 30.4 years, referred in.74% of cases. Hemorrhage was observed in.238 cases (94.4%) an. an.mia in.14 cases (5.6%). Blood tran.fusion.was urgen.ly used in.89.7% of cases an. hemorrhagic abortion.was the main.in.ication. Blood group O+ (34.5%) was the most used an. blood products were obtain.d after two hours in.81% of cases. Con.lusion. Blood tran.fusion.is often.performed urgen.ly an. for bleedin.. Purpose: Primary malign.n. musculosqueletal tumors in.adult are rare affection. group an. its treatmen. is still a real challen.e today. The aim of this work was to describe the epidemiologic an. treatmen. aspects of these tumors in.the n.tion.l referen.e cen.er of our coun.ry. Materiel an. Methods: It was a retrospective review of primary malign.n. musculosqueletal tumors treated in.orthopedics an. trauma un.t of Sylvan.s Olympio teachin. hospital of Lomé, Togo from Jan.ary 2000 to December 2014. results: Durin. the study period, 28 cases were selected an. reviewed. There were 17 men.(60.71%) an. 11 women.(39.29%). The average age was 32.7 years. There were 20 cases (71%) of primary malign.n. bon. tumors (PMBT) an. 8 cases (29%) of primary malign.n. soft tissues tumors (PMSTT). There were 6 (30%) of osteosarcoma. The tumor was located in.the bon.s of the forearm an. wrist/han. in.2 (10%) patien.s for each an.tomical site;for the lower limb, aroun. kn.e in.7 (35%) patien.s. Eight patien.s had PMSTT (28, 57%). There were three cases of rhabdomyosarcoma, 2 cases of fibrosarcoma. Tumors were located aroun. kn.e in.4 cases an. aroun. an.le/foot in.3 cases. In.the two groups of tumor, tumor resection.was performed in.5 patien.s (17.86%) an. limb amputation.in.icated in.23 patien.s (82.14%), was performed in.15 (53.57%) an. 8 patien.s (37.78%), rejected it an. left hospital again.t medical advice. Con.lusion. Malign.n. musculoskeletal tumors are relatively rare in.Togo. Their treatmen. is based on.radical surgery which is often.n.t supervised by adjuvan. therapies. Studies of male breast can.er are rare in.Africa. In.Togo in.particular, n. work has focused on.the epidemiological, mammo-echographic, pathological, therapeutic or progn.stic aspects of male breast can.er. The aim of this study is to report cases of male breast can.er in.Togo by describin. the main.epidemiological, mammo-echographic an. pathological aspects. This was a retrospective, descriptive an. an.lytical study of 10 cases of male patien.s presen.in. with breast can.er con.irmed by the pathologic examin.tion.on.the echo-guided samples over a period of 6 years in.Un.versity Teachin. Hospital in.Lomé. A total of ten.patien.s were retain.d. The mean.age of patien.s was 55 years with extremes of 39 years an. 65 years. All patien.s had a palpable breast mass. The lesion. were classified in.60% American.College of radiology (ACr) 5 an. 40% ACr 4. The axillary lymph n.de in.asion.rate was 40%. In.iltratin. ductal carcin.ma was the histologic type diagn.sed in.all patien.s. An. breast mass in.an.elderly male subject is suspected with high predictive value. Mammography ultrasoun. plays an.importan. role in.the diagn.sis alon.side pathology.

We report the case of a 50-year-old patien., who was explored in.mammography, ultrasoun. an. CT for a large pain.ul mass of the right breast that had been.evolvin. for 30 years an. gradually in.reasin. in.size. There was a typical “sausage slice” appearan.e with clear cen.er macrocalcification. on.the mammogram;an.aspect of “breast in.the breast” on.ultrasoun.. The scan.er had made it possible to specify the dimen.ion. of the mass, which measured 21.4 cm in.height;18.6 cm wide an. 9.5 cm thick. Histology after exeresis n.ted the aden.lipofibromatous n.ture of the mass.

Backgroun.: The elderly can.ers are worldwide a major public health issue. Their exact in.iden.e is un.n.wn.in.Togo. The purpose of this study was to describe epidemiological an. histological data of can.ers in.the elderly in.Togo. Materials an. Methods: This was a cross-section.l an. descriptive study of cases of elderly can.ers diagn.sed at the laboratory of pathology of the un.versity teachin. hospital of Lomé from 1995 to 2014 (20 years). Cases of examin.tion.on.samples of the elderly (biopsy, excision. surgical specimen.) were collected from the data records of that laboratory. results: Overall, 792/5200 cases of elderly can.er were collected represen.in. 15.2% of all can.ers diagn.sed in.the laboratory. The an.ual in.iden.e was 39.6 cases. Patien. age ran.ed from 65 to 103 years old, with a mean.of 68.5 ± 4 years old. The sex ratio (M/F) was 1.3. At pathological level, the study material in.luded pieces (n.290 cases;36.6%) an. biopsies (n.502 cases;63.4%). Can.ers located preferably in.prostate in.men.(38%), an. in.women.the most frequen. location. were cervix (16.2%) an. breast (15.8%). We n.ticed four histological groups: carcin.mas (n.= 706 cases;89.1%), sarcomas (n.= 43 cases;5.5%), lymphoma (n.= 34 cases;4.3%) an. melan.ma (n.= 9 cases;1.1%). Carcin.mas were domin.ted by aden.carcin.mas (50.1%) an. squamous cell carcin.mas (33.8%);Kaposi’s sarcoma (32.6%) was the most common.histological type in.sarcomas. Con.lusion. Our results showed that the elderly can.ers were frequen. in.Togo, locatin. mostly in.uterus cervix an. breast in.female, an. prostate in.men. This study could help to advocate the establishmen. of a can.er registry in.Togo.

The data were an.lysed usin. the software Epi in.o 7.1.5. The P value was con.idered sign.fican. below 0.05. ron.>results:ron.> On. hun.red an. eighty (180) physician. average-aged 29 were admin.stered amon. whom on. hun.red an. fifty-seven.(157) males an. twen.y-three (23) females. The average duration.of the medical practice was 35.2 mon.hs (6 mon.hs - 204 mon.hs). The screen.n. criteria were age (47.2%), family history of can.er (17.8%), an. age over 50 years associated with symptoms of the low urin.ry tract (35%). The practition.r’s experien.e did n.t affect these criteria (p = 0.12). The screen.n. tools were the digital rectal examin.tion.(DrE) associated with prostate specific an.igen.(PSA) assay (20.5%), PSA alon. (29.5%), DrE alon. (6.6%), suprapubic ultrasoun. (32.3%) an. en.orectal ultrasoun. (11.1%). The choice of the screen.n. tool was related to the practition.r’s experien.e (p = 0.03). ron.>Backgroun.:ron.> Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in women around the world. The objective of this study was to assess knowledge and attitudes about breast cancer screening among students in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Lomé. Methods: This was a prospective descriptive transversal study conducted among students enrolled in the Faculty of Health Sciences (FSS) of the University of Lomé (UL) in the 2019 school year account 2020. The purpose of this study was to assess the knowledge and attitudes of medical students about breast cancer screening. Results: In total, the questionnaire was completed by 934 students, for a response rate of 57.1%. The most frequently mentioned risk factors were the presence of a family history of breast cancer (n = 799, 85.55%) and the use of oral or injectable contraceptives (n = 606, 64.88%). There is a statistically significant link between the participants’ knowledge of the self-examination and clinical examination of the breasts and certain socio-demographic characteristics, namely age (OR = 0.2, 95% CI [0.11n. - 0.75], p-value 0.0001), the level of study (OR = 1.5, 95% CI [0.55 - 2.46], p-value = 0.0054), the follow-up of a course on breast cancer (OR = 2.63, 95% CI [0.32n.style="fon.-family
