Comisión Nacional de energía Atómica (CNeA) has the responsibility for restoring uranium mining facilities once the operations have ***,within its environmental Program and in compliance with its legal responsibilities,decides to implement a restoration project for all sites related to the mining and processing of uranium *** Malargüe Site is located within the Province of Mendoza in the city of Malargü*** is the first site to successfully complete its *** activities consist of relocation of tailings to an engineering *** tailings management(encapsulation) and rehabilitation of the area was finished in June *** remediation alternative for the ore tailings was selected after conducting comparative studies and submitted the project to the society for *** objective of the encapsulation of the mineral tails is to isolate them from the environment,also proceeding with the decontamination and rehabilitation of the area (landscaping,post-closure monitoring and 20 years monitoring period).encapsulation consisted of the construction of a containment cell for the mine tailings,to isolate them and prevent pollutants from entering the environment through the transfer *** clean the impacted areas,the soil was removed,it was incorporated into the encapsulation,and the filling was carried out with natural soils from the *** prevents radon transfer to the environment,as ^(222)ra is an alpha emitter with a half-life of four days,which produces its own radioactive *** progeny are solids,and when a ^(222)ra nucleus emits an alpha particle into the air,the resulting ^(218)Po nucleus,momentarily electrically charged,adheres to any dust *** prevents the discharge into the air containing radon and also containing dust particles charged with intensely radioactive radon *** tasks mentioned make it possible to decrease radon emanation,reduce radiological risks to the public and pre

In addition to their visible motion such as swimming(e.g.,with the help ofﬂagella),bacteria can also exhibit nanomotion that is detectable only with highly sensitive instruments,and this study shows that it is possible to detect bacterial nanomotion using an AFM detection *** results show that the nanomotion characteristics depend on the bacterial strain,and that nanomotion can be used to sense the metabolic activity of bacteria because the oscillations are sensitive to the food preferences of the bacteria and the type of surrounding medium.

Purpose educational technology(“edTech”)served a pivotal role in keeping schools functioning during the beginning of the COVID-19 *** is known about edTech leaders’roles in shaping this *** study explores edTech leaders’perspectives and backgrounds,their response to the pandemic,how they envision their roles as educators,and their perspectives about how technology facilitates educational ***/Approach/Methods This study uses a qualitative,phenomenological approach to understand how 11 edTech leaders experienced the *** were recruited for interviews in summer 2021 via purposive sampling to include diverse backgrounds and *** were analyzed *** The findings show that a four-category typology can be used to describe edTech leaders’diverse backgrounds and *** emphasized equity and open collaboration in their pandemic responses,by expanding access to their tools and adapting their products as users’needs *** leaders anticipate streamlined user experiences,improvements in online learning,and increased adoption of artificial intelligence and simulated learning ***/Value This study addresses a gap in the research concerning edTech leaders’perspectives on their efforts to support educators and their experiences during the *** hope this study sparks additional research on edTech leaders’experiences and roles in education.

The basic reproduction number,r_(0),is a well-known quantifier of epidemic ***,a class of existing methods for estimating r_(0)from incidence data early in the epidemic can lead to an over-estimation of this *** particular,when fitting deterministic models to estimate the rate of spread,we do not account for the stochastic nature of epidemics and that,given the same system,some outbreaks may lead to epidemics and some may ***,an observed epidemic that we wish to control is a major *** amounts to implicit selection for major outbreaks which leads to the over-estimation *** formally characterised the split between major and minor outbreaks by using Otsu's method which provides us with a working *** show that by conditioning a‘deterministic’model on major outbreaks,we can more reliably estimate the basic reproduction number from an observed epidemic trajectory.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of infant feces-derived Bifidobacterium breve CCFM1078 on rheumatoid cachexia （rC）. Twenty-four female Wistar rats were assigned to three groups: CON group （normal saline by gavage）， CIA group （collagen-induced arthritis， normal saline by gavage）， and CCFM1078 group (collagen-induced arthritis， 3×109CFU/rat/day B breve CCFM1078 gavage). The results demonstrated that B. breve CCFM1078 not only improved skeletal muscle function in CIA rats， but also modulated the gut microbiota， skeletal muscle metabolism and hormone levels， reduced inflammation in the knee joint and skeletal muscles， decreased activity of the NF-κB inflammatory signaling pathway， enhanced the IrS1/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway， promoted skeletal muscle differentiation， and maintained skeletal muscle fiber diameter， consequently slowing down the progression of rC. These findings suggested that B. breve CCFM1078 may have a beneficial role as part of a dietary intervention for rC， enhancing overall therapeutic effects.

The current study is performed to find sustainable solutions for the future of transportation and environmental *** conventional methods and experimental design table(L16 Orthogonal Array)techniques have been employed to examine and optimize a diesel-powered engine's operational and pollutant *** L16 Orthogonal Array is obtained through Taguchi's experimental design approach using Minitab 16 *** experimental design incorporated three control variables,namely engine speed,fuel type,and engine load,each with four *** operational parameters,namely brake thermal efficiency(BTe)and brake specific fuel consumption(BSFC),as well as the emission characteristics,including hydrocarbon(HC),carbon monoxide(CO),nitrogen oxide(NO),and smoke emissions,were acquired using the L16 orthogonal array(OA) and subsequently *** utilization of methodologies such as signal-to-noise(S/N) ratio and grey analysis was employed to determine the optimal operational state of the engine to achieve maximum performance while minimizing *** engine's ideal state of operation,in terms of BTe and BSFC,was determined to be at 75% engine load,1000 r/min engine speed,and using 10^(-4)(in vol) carbon nanotube incorporated 20% orange peel biodiesel(OPB20CNT100) blended fuel(A3-B1-C4).The study indicated that engine load significantly influenced BTe and BSFC,with 84.05% and 87.79% contribution factors,*** 25% engine load,1000 r/min,and OPB20CNT100 fuel(A1-B1-C4) CO,smoke,NO,and HC emissions were the *** load affects emissions the *** BSFC increased 3.10% and NO emissions 1.77%.BTe,CO,smoke,and HC emissions decreased by 1.9%,12.29%,47.05%,and 47.22%,respectively,at optimal operating conditions concerning diesel *** study shows that Taguchi-Grey's experimental design optimizes diesel engine operational and pollutant *** outcomes revealed that orange peel biodiesel infused with CNT can replace diesel fuel in a

Background Heat stress has severe negative consequences on performance and health of pigs,leading to significant economic *** objective of this study was to investigate the effects of supplemental vitamin e and a botanical extract in feed or drinking water on growth performance,intestinal health,and oxidative and immune status in grow-ing pigs housed under heat stress *** Duplicate experiments were conducted,each using 64 crossbred pigs with an initial body weight of 50.7±3.8 and 43.9±3.6 kg and age of 13-week and 12-week,***(n=128)were housed individually and assigned within weight blocks and sex to a 2×4 factorial arrangement consisting of 2 environments(thermo-neutral(21.2℃)or heat-stressed(30.9℃))and 4 supplementation treatments(control diet;control+100 IU/L of D-α-tocopherol in water;control+200 IU/kg of DL-α-tocopheryl-acetate in feed;or control+400 mg/kg of a botanical extract in feed).results Heat stress for 28 d reduced(P≤0.001)final body weight,average daily gain,and average daily feed intake(-7.4 kg,-26.7%,and-25.4%,respectively)but no effects of supplementation were detected(P>0.05).Serum vitamin e increased(Pe supplementation in water and in feed(1.64 vs.3.59 and 1.64 vs.3.24),but not for the botanical extract(1.64 vs.1.67 mg/kg)and was greater when supplemented in water ***(P=0.002).Liver vitamin e increased(Pe supplementations in water(3.9 vs.31.8)and feed(3.9 vs.18.0),but not with the botanical extract(3.9 vs.4.9 mg/kg).Serum malondialdehyde was reduced with heat stress on d 2,but increased on d 28(interaction,Preater(Pr antioxidant supplementation compared to *** proliferation was reduced(P=0.037)in the jejunum under heat stress,but increased in the ileum when vitamin e was supplemented in feed and water under heat stress(interaction,P=0.04).Tumor necrosis factor-αin jejunum and ileum mucosa decreased by heat stress(Pre
