Flexible and stretchable biosensors that can monitor and quantify the electrical or chemical signals generated by specific microenvironments have attracted a great deal of attention. Wearable biosensors that can be intimately attached to skin or tissue provide a new opportunity for medical diagnostics and therapy. In recent years, there has been enormous progress in device integration and the design of materials and manufacturing processes for flexible and stretchable systems. Here, we describe the most recent developments in nanomaterials employed in flexible and stretchable biosensors. We review successful examples of such biosensors used for the detection of vital physiological and biological markers such as gas released from organisms. Furthermore, we provide a detailed overview of recent achievements regarding integrated platforms that include multifunctional nanomaterials. The issues and challenges related to the effective integration of multifunctional nanomaterials in bio-electronics are also discussed.

Bulk nanoporous(np)metallic actuators have attracted increasing attention due to their large strain and low stimulation ***,studies focusing upon the combined effect of composition and structure on the actuation performance of metallic actuators are relatively scarce,and its underlying mechanism needs to be clarified Herein,a series of bulk np-NiPd samples with differen compositions and microstructures were fabricated using a dealloying-coarsening-dealloying strategy and chargecontrolled electrochemical dealloying,and the process involves only one component of precursor *** has been found that the np-NiPd cubes show a composition/structure-dependent mechanical property and electrochemical actuation ***,the npNi_(70)Pd_(30)sample with a homogeneously porous structure and good network connectivity exhibits significantly larger strain amplitude and faster strain rate than other hierarchically porous NiPd samples(np-Ni_(50)Pd_(50)and npNi_(20)Pd_(80)).Moreover,the np-Ni_(70)Pd_(30)sample demonstrates good actuation stability with high strain retention after hundreds of ***,the maximum strain amplitude(1.17%)is even comparable to that of advanced leadfree piezoceramic,and the maximum strain rate exceeds those of many reported metallic actuator *** work indicates that good network connectivity plays a vita role in facilitating large/fast strain response in metallic actuators.

Most automatic steering systems for large tractors are designed with hydraulic systems that run on either constant flow or constant pressure. Such designs are limited in adaptability and applicability. Moreover, their control valves can unload in the neutral position and eventually lead to serious hydraulic leakage over long operation periods. In response to the problems noted above, a multifunctional automatic hydraulic steering circuit is presented. The system design is composed of a 5-way-3-position proportional directional valve, two pilot-controlled check valves, a pressure-compensated directional valve, a pressurecompensated flow regulator valve, a load shuttle valve, and a check valve, among other components. It is adaptable to most open-center systems with constant flow supply and closed-center systems with load feedback. The design maintains the lowest pressure under load feedback and stays at the neutral position during unloading, thus meeting the requirements for steering. The steering controller is based on proportional-integral-derivative(PID) running on a 51-microcontroller-unit master control chip. An experimental platform is developed to establish the basic characteristics of the system subject to stepwise inputs and sinusoidal tracking. Test results show that the system design demonstrates excellent control accuracy, fast response, and negligible leak during long operation periods.

This paper investigates the problem of adaptive almost disturbance decoupling for a class of generalized high-order uncertain nonlinear systems. The control strategy is on the basis of continuous domination and delicate adaptive technique and the adaptive state-feedback controller is one-dimensional irrespective of the number of unknown parameters. An appropriate nonlinear function and transformation skill are introduced to mitigate the effects of external disturbances. As an application, an example is provided to illustrate the correctness of the theoretical results.
