Male Sterile Lines of Zinnia elegans and Their Cytological Observations

In order to find out a new pathway for utilizing heterosis of Zinnia elegans and accelerate breeding process, the mechanism of anther development of a male sterile line was explored. Backcross, sibmating, selling of fertile plants and testcross with inbred lines were analyzed and identified in the field, and cytology was observed. Recessive nucleus male sterile line AH209AB capable of being a maintainer was obtained by successive backcrosses with male sterile plants and fertile F1 plants as male parents. Cytological and anatomical studies indicated that：（1） The wall of normal anther was constituted of four layers of cells such as epidermis, powder chamber wall, middle level and tapetum cells. The process in meiosis of pollen mother cell in Zinnia elegans was normal and cytoplasm divided simultanously. Mature pollen grain was tricellular type. （2） The petal of male sterile plant degraded as a thread-like structure, the stamens were villiform in appearance and no pollens were formed. The result showed that the anther of male sterile plant no longer proceed to differentiate spore mother cell and the pollen sac after the formation of the tissue of sporogenous cells, there was no evident boundary between tapetum cell, middle lamella and inner wall of PMC, tapetal cells did not develop from the very beginning. So the abortion type was completely structural male sterility. The male sterile line belongs to non-sporange male sterile type and is of great use in F1 seeds production.

Background:The association between free triiodothyronine(FT3)and long-term prognosis in dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM)patients has not been *** purpose of this study was to determine whether the level of FT3 could provide prognostic value in patients with ***:Data of consecutive patients diagnosed with DCM were collected from October 2009 to December ***3 was measured by *** biochemical markers,such as free thyroxin(FT4),thyroid-stimulating hormone,red blood cell,hemoglobin,blood urea nitrogen,and serum creatinine,were tested at the same ***-up was performed every 3 *** primary endpoint was all-cause *** analysis was used to evaluate the correlation of FT3 and other lab metrics with DCM patients’*** association of long-term mortality in DCM and FT3 was compared using Cox hazards ***:Data of 176 patients diagnosed with DCM were *** them,24 patients missed FT3 values and six patients were lost to ***,data of 146 patients were *** the median follow-up time of 79.9(53.5-159.6)months,nine patients lost,61 patients died(non-survival group),and 85 patients survived(survival group).FT3 was significantly lower in non-survival group than that in survival group(3.65±0.83 pmol/L vs.4.36±1.91 pmol/L;P=0.003).FT3 also showed a significantly positive correlation with red blood cell and hemoglobin,negatively correlated with age,blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine(P<0.05),*** in the group of lower FT3 levels(FT3≤3.49 pmol/L)suffered from a higher risk of all-cause mortality(P for log-rank=0.001).In multivariate Cox regression analysis,FT3 level was significantly associated with all-cause mortality(hazard ratio:0.70,95%confidence interval 0.52-0.95,P for trend=0.021).Conclusion:Low levels of FT3 were associated with increased all-cause mortality in patients with DCM.

Thermoelectric(TE)materials can directly convert the industrial waste heat into useful electricity based on the Seebeck effect,providing a promising way to tackle the environmental pollution and global energy crisis[1].In the past several decades,many new high-performance TE materials have been discovered to enrich the TE *** them,Cu_(2)−δSe-based TE materials,which are in line with the“phonon-liquid electron-crystal”concept,have sparked widespread interest due to the high TE figure-of-merit(ZT)and the combination of elements that are nontoxic and earth-abundant[2].In 2012,Liu et al.[3]reported a ZT of 1.5 at 1000 K in the stoichiometric Cu_(2)*** alloying S at the Se-site,the ZT was enhanced to around 2.0 at 1000 K[4].Via incorporating carbon nanotubes,the ZT was further enhanced to 2.4 at 1000 K[5].Moreover,Yang et al.[6]and Zhou et al.[7]reported that the ZT of Cu_(2)Se/BiCuSeO composites can reach 2.7–2.8 around 1000 K.

During the whole service lifetime of aircraft structures with composite materials,impacts are inevitable and can usually cause severe but barely visible *** the occurrences of impact are random and unpredictable,it is a hotspot direction to develop an online impact monitoring system that can meet strict limitations of aerospace applications including small size,light weight,and low power ***(PZT)sensor,being able to generate impact response signals with no external power and cover a large-scale structure with only a small amount of them,is a promising ***,for real systems,networks with multiple nodes are normally required to monitor large-scale structures in a global way to identify any impact localization confliction,yet the existing studies are mostly evaluated with single nodes instead of ***,in this paper,based on a new low-power node designed,a Bluetooth-based digital impact monitoring PZT sensor network is proposed for the first time with its global confliction-solving impact localization *** of the system as a network are researched and analyzed on a complex real aircraft wing box for a global confliction-solving impact localization,showing a satisfying high accuracy.

The sampling process is very inefficient for sam-pling-based motion planning algorithms that excess random sam-ples are generated in the planning *** this paper,we pro-pose an adaptive space expansion(ASE)approach which belongs to the informed sampling category to improve the sampling effi-ciency for quickly finding a feasible *** ASE method enlarges the search space gradually and restrains the sampling process in a sequence of small hyper-ellipsoid ring subsets to avoid exploring the unnecessary ***,for a con-structed small hyper-ellipsoid ring subset,if the algorithm cannot find a feasible path in it,then the subset is ***,the ASE method successively does space exploring and space expan-sion until the final path has been ***,we present a particular construction method of the hyper-ellipsoid ring that uniform random samples can be directly generated in *** last,we present a feasible motion planner BiASE and an asymptoti-cally optimal motion planner BiASE*using the bidirectional exploring method and the ASE *** demon-strate that the computation speed is much faster than that of the state-of-the-art *** source codes are available at https://***/shshlei/ompl.

Lung cancer is a malady of the lungs that gravely jeopardizes human ***,early detection and treatment are paramount for the preservation of human *** computed tomography(CT)image sequences can explicitly delineate the pathological condition of the *** meet the imperative for accurate diagnosis by physicians,expeditious segmentation of the region harboring lung cancer is of utmost *** utilize computer-aided methods to emulate the diagnostic process in which physicians concentrate on lung cancer in a sequential manner,erect an interpretable model,and attain segmentation of lung *** specific advancements can be encapsulated as follows:1)Concentration on the lung parenchyma region:Based on 16-bit CT image capturing and the luminance characteristics of lung cancer,we proffer an intercept histogram algorithm.2)Focus on the specific locus of lung malignancy:Utilizing the spatial interrelation of lung cancer,we propose a memory-based Unet architecture and incorporate skip connections.3)Data Imbalance:In accordance with the prevalent situation of an overabundance of negative samples and a paucity of positive samples,we scrutinize the existing loss function and suggest a mixed loss *** results with pre-existing publicly available datasets and assembled datasets demonstrate that the segmentation efficacy,measured as Area Overlap Measure(AOM)is superior to 0.81,which markedly ameliorates in comparison with conventional algorithms,thereby facilitating physicians in diagnosis.
