Baicalin is a flavonoid compound extracted from Scutellaria baicalensis *** evidence indicates that baicalin is neuroprotective in models of ischemic ***,we investigate the neuroprotective effect of baicalin in a neonatal rat model of hypoxic-ischemic ***-day-old pups underwent left common carotid artery ligation followed by hypoxia（8% oxygen at 37°C） for 2 hours,before being injected with baicalin（120 mg/kg intraperitoneally） and examined 24 hours *** effectively reduced cerebral infarct volume and neuronal loss,inhibited apoptosis,and upregulated the expression of p-Akt and glutamate transporter *** injection of the phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B（PI3 K/Akt） inhibitor LY294002 30 minutes before injury blocked the effect of baicalin on p-Akt and glutamate transporter 1,and weakened the associated neuroprotective *** findings provide the first evidence,to our knowledge that baicalin can protect neonatal rat brains against hypoxic-ischemic injury by upregulating glutamate transporter 1 via the PI3 K/Akt signaling pathway.

Vector-valued Inequalities for Commutators of Singular Integrals on Herz Spaces with Variable Exponents

Based on the theory of variable exponents and BMO norms, we prove the vector-valued inequalities for commutators of singular integrals on both homogeneous and inhomogeneous Herz spaces where the two main indices are variable ***, we show that a wide class of commutators generated by BMO functions and sublinear operators satisfy vector-valued inequalities.

The contradiction between flammability and packing density is the technical bottleneck for combustible smoke ***,polyurethane(PU)foams with flammability and resilience were prepared with polyol and isocyanate as raw materials by chemical foaming method,then compounded with metal powders,polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE),phthalic annychide(PA),*** a certain proportion and pressed into pyrotechnic grain to obtain eco-friendly combustion aerosols with compact density of about1.15 g/cm^(3).The resulting combustion smoke agent combined the advantages of PU foam and pyrotechnic with easy ignition,large smoke production,long duration and low environmental *** transmittance of aerosols for 532 nm and 1064 nm lasers was close to 0,and the EMI SE reached up to65 d B and 35 d B in GPS band and X band,*** addition,the resulting pyrotechnic grains exhibited good mechanical strength and elasticity for sample 1:25,with a compressive strength of22 MPa and an elastic modulus of 195 *** resulting combustion smoke agent is expected to play a potential role in the field of electromagnetic damage and protection.

In-situ TEM observation of the evolution of helium bubbles & dislocation loops and their interaction in Pd during He^(+) irradiation

The microstructural evolution of purity Pd under 30 keV He^(+)irradiation at 573 K was investigated by in-situ transmission electron *** nucleation,growth,merging,annihilation,size change,number density variation,and types of dislocation loops were analyzed under the influence of irradiation fluence and sample *** perfect dislocation loops with b=1/2and faulted dislocation loops with b=1/3were ***,at low irradiation fluence,most of the loops were 1/3*** thickness of TEM foil obviously affected the ratio of 1/3loop variants,the size and number density of dislocation loops,and the characteristics of bubble-loop *** the increase of irradiation fluence,the size of dislocation loops increased,but loop volume number density remained almost constant until dislocation loops merged and evolved into dislocation *** was an obvious interaction between dislocation loops and bubbles,indicating that 1/3loop was first formed at the initial stage of irradiation,and when the loop grew to a certain size,obvious helium bubbles appeared inside its region.

With continuous enhancement of gas-turbine inlet temperature and rapid increase of radiant heat transfer,thermal barrier coating(TBC)materials with a combination of low thermal conductivity and good high-temperature thermal radiation shielding performance play vital roles in ensuring the durability of metallic ***,yttria-stabilized zirconia(YSZ),as the state-of-the-art TBC and current industry standard,is unable to meet such demands since it is almost translucent to high-temperature thermal ***,poor corrosion resistance of YSZ to molten calcia-magnesia-alumina-silicates(CMAS)also impedes its application in sand,dust,or volcanic ash laden *** order to improve the hightemperature thermal radiation shielding performance and CMAS resistance of YSZ and further reduce its thermal conductivity,two medium-entropy(ME)oxide ceramics,ME(Y,Ti)_(0.1)(Zr,Hf,Ce)_(0.9)O_(2)and ME(Ta,Ti)_(0.1)(Zr,Hf,Ce)_(0.9)O_(2),were designed and prepared by pressureless sintering of binary powder compacts in this ***(Y,Ti)_(0.1)(Zr,Hf,Ce)_(0.9)O_(2)presents cubic structure but a trace amount of secondary phase,while ME(Ta,Ti)_(0.1)(Zr,Hf,Ce)_(0.9)O_(2)displays a combination of tetragonal phase(81.6 wt.%)and cubic phase(18.4 wt.%).Both ME(Y,Ti)_(0.1)(Zr,Hf,Ce)_(0.9)O_(2)and ME(Ta,Ti)_(0.1)(Zr,Hf,Ce)_(0.9)O_(2)possess better high-temperature thermal radiation shielding performance than ***,the high-temperature thermal radiation shielding performance of ME(Ta,Ti)_(0.1)(Zr,Hf,Ce)_(0.9)O_(2)is superior to that of ME(Y,Ti)_(0.1)(Zr,Hf,Ce)_(0.9)O_(2)due to its narrower band gap and correspondingly higher infrared absorbance(above 0.7)at the waveband of 1 to 5μ*** two ME oxides also display significantly lower thermal conductivity than YSZ and close thermal expansion coefficients(TECs)to YSZ and Ni-based *** addition,the two ME oxides possess excellent CMAS *** attack by molten CMAS at 1250℃for 4 h,merely~2μm thick penetration

Effect of steam-flaking on chemical compositions,starch gelatinization,in vitro fermentability,and energetic values of maize,wheat and rice

Intact and steam-flaked grains of maize,wheat and rice（with whole hulls） were analyzed for chemical composition,starch gelatinization degree（SGD） and in vitro fermentation characteristics to investigate the influence of cereal type and steam-flaking（SF） processing on their nutritive *** treatments were arranged in a 3×2 factorial *** differences（P〈0.001） in chemical composition and energetic values were observed among the different cereal *** and gas production（GP） rate was significantly increased（P〈0.001） by SF *** processing also increased（P〈0.01） the proportion of propionic acid and decreased the acetic：propionic acid ratio in ***-flaking also increased organic matter digestibility and the energetic value of the cereal grains,especially *** on these results,rice probably is more amendable to SF processing than maize and *** conclusion,it is feasible to partially substitute maize grain with wheat or rice in ruminant diets,and steam-flaking can significantly improve the nutritional value of wheat and rice grains.

Densification and anticorrosion performances of vacuum evaporated aluminium coatings on NdFeB magnets

Al coated NdFeB magnets obtained by vacuum evaporation technique were densified by high energy ball milling *** surface morphology,metal composition and micro structure of the coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,*** anticorrosive properties were investigated by potentiodynamic polarization curves and neutral salt spray *** pores in the Al coatings of columnar crystals(Al) induced by the evaporation technique,were apparently filled in the following ball milling process,leading to the densification of Al coatings and the evident improvement of the anticorrosive *** treated with ball milling for 30 min,the sample achieves the best anticorrosive performances with the self-corrosion potential of-0.87 V,self-corrosion current density of 1.65 μA/cm^(2) and the neutral salt spray(NSS) time of 144 h(red rust).The improvement of the anticorro sive performances of vacuum evaporated Al coating mainly lies in the densification effect of the coating,which depends on different loading conditions of ball milling process.

RNA N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A),as the most abundant modification of messenger RNA,can modulate insect behaviors,but its specific roles in aggregation behaviors remain ***,we conducted a comprehensive molecular and physiological characterization of the individual components of the methyltransferase and demethylase in the migratory locust Locusta *** results demonstrated that METTL3,METTL14 and ALKBH5 were dominantly expressed in the brain and exhibited remarkable responses to crowding or *** individual knockdown of methyltransferases(i.e.,METTL3 and METTL14)promoted locust movement and conspecific attraction,whereas ALKBH5 knockdown induced a behavioral shift toward the solitary ***,global transcriptome profiles revealed that m^(6)A modification could regulate the orchestration of gene expression to fine tune the behavioral aggregation of *** summary,our in vivo characterization of the m^(6)A functions in migratory locusts clearly demonstrated the crucial roles of the m^(6)A pathway in effectively modulating aggregation behaviors.
