Dear Editor,This letter focuses on the integration of inventory monitoring and capacity changes in dynamic supply chains(SCs) with the bullwhip effect(BE) and the ripple effect(RE). First, a new inventory monitoring model with stochastic switched topologies is proposed for SCs, potentially showing merits in incorporating the BE and the RE,and allowing control-theoretic approaches to identify their interrelations. Then, sufficient conditions on the existence of inventory controllers are derived such that the monitoring system is stabilizable with mitigation of the BE in the presence of the RE.

Magnesium matrix composites reinforced with AlN particles were fabricated by the powder metallurgy *** mixing methods were used in this study to control the distribution of Al N *** microstructure,thermal diffusivity and thermal expansion of the Mg–Al/Al N composites using different mixing methods were *** results showed that the intergranular and intragranular distributions of Al N particles were obtained,respectively,by controlling the mixing *** composite with intragranular particles exhibited lower thermal diffusivity because of the existences of more interfaces,defects and grain boundaries,which acted as scattering centers and reduced the mean free path of electrons and *** existence of Al N particles lowered the coefficient of thermal expansion（CTE）and enhanced the dimensional stability of the *** the use of the improved mixing method further reduced the CTE of Mg–Al/Al N composites.

This paper deals with the H∞ control for a class of continuous-time networked control systems based on continuoustime Markov chains. Firstly, with controller switching strategy, a class of linear continuous-time networked control systems are modeled as continuous-time Markov jump linear systems. Secondly, using the Lyapunov functional approach, sufficient conditions on the existence of an H∞ controller for linear continuous-time networked control systems are obtained. Meanwhile,the occurring rate of dropouts or large delays, as well as the sojourn time of each mode with dropout or large delay, respectively,without dropout and large delay are investigated with the Chapman-Kolmogorov equation.

This paper studies change control based on the event-triggered scheme for production inventory systems with average dwell time and time-varying delays. By considering the stock levels of different warehouses, a switching time-varying delay system is introduced to model the production inventory systems, which is consisted of two facilities with different review *** control is designed to tackle the problem of system parameters varying during the system evolving with unexpected emergencies. The event-triggered scheme is used to determine the transmission of raw materials（or finished products）, which is more appropriate than the period transmission in practice, and switching among subsystems is satisfied with the conditions of average dwell time. Sufficient conditions of exponentially stable and controller existence are derived by the switching control theory and the Lyapunov-Krasovskii theory. The bullwhip effect, which is resulted by uncertain customers’ demand, is attenuated by H∞ control method. A potassium carbonate production inventory system is given as an example to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of varying pyrite(Py)content on copper(Cu)in the presence of different regrinding conditions,which were altered using different types of grinding media:iron,ceramic balls,and their mixture,followed by flotation in the cleaner *** flotation performance of rough Cu concentrate can be improved by changing the regrinding conditions based on the Py *** electron microscopy,X-ray spectrometry,ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt extraction,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy studies illustrated that when the Py content was high,the use of iron media in regrinding promoted the generation of hydrophilic Fe OOH on the surface of Py and improved the Cu *** ceramic medium with a low Py content prevented excessive Fe OOH from covering the surface of chalcopyrite(Cpy).Electrochemical studies further showed that the galvanic corrosion current of Cpy-Py increased with the addition of Py and became stronger with the participation of iron media.

Rational engineering of semiconductor photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen production is of great significance but still challenging,primarily due to the limitations in charge transfer ***,a fascinating plasmonic tandem heterojunction with the hc-CdS/Mo2C@C heterostructure is aimfully prepared for effectively promoting the charge separation kinetics of the CdS photocatalyst via the synergistic strategy of phase junction,Schottky junction,and photothermal *** difference in atomic configuration between cubic-CdS （c-CdS） and hexagonal-CdS （h-CdS） leads to effective charge separation through a typical Ⅱ charge transfer mechanism,and plasmonic Schottky junction further extracts the electrons in the hc-CdS phase junction to realize gradient charge ***,the photothermal effect of Mo2C@C helps to expand the light absorption,accelerate charge transfer kinetics,and reduce the hydrogen evolution energy *** carbon layer provides a fast channel for charge transfer and protects the photocatalyst from *** a result,the optimized hc-CMC photocatalyst exhibits a significantly high photocatalytic H2production activity of 28.63 mmol/g/h and apparent quantum efficiency of 61.8%,surpassing most of the reported *** study provides a feasible strategy to enhance the charge transfer kinetics and photocatalytic activity of CdS by constructing plasmonic tandem heterogeneous junctions.

BACKGROUND Extramedullary plasmacytoma(EMP)represents one of the rarer forms of plasma cell malignancies,capable of impacting a variety of tissues and organs throughout the *** majority of EMP cases are predominantly found in the head and neck region,especially within the laryngopharynx,as well as in the gastrointestinal *** there have been documented instances of oropharyngeal involvement in EMP cases in the academic literature,it is important to note that EMP specifically affecting the uvula is exceedingly ***,it is noteworthy that over 60% of epithelial carcinomas in the upper respiratory tract and oropharynx tend to metastasize to the cervical lymph nodes,indicating a propensity for regional spread in these types of *** this context,we present a rare case of extramedullary plasmacytoma where the uvula served as the initially affected *** case emphasizes the need for heightened awareness among clinicians regarding such unusual comorbidities,as early recognition and diagnosis can significantly influence patient management and treatment *** addition,a review of the relevant literature is included to further educate and inform healthcare professionals about this rare presentation,ultimately aiming to enhance clinical understanding and improve patient care in similar *** SUMMARY A 51-year-old man was admitted to our hospital because of a slowly enlarging neck mass.A physical examination revealed a palpable left lymph node,and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)of the oropharynx and the neck showed a soft tissue mass in the oropharynx and enlargement of multiple lymph nodes in the *** soft tissue mass was diagnosed as plasmacytoma by immunohistochemical *** immunoglobulins and bone marrow biopsy showed normal ***,we diagnosed that as EMP of the *** four cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy dominated by bortezomib,MRI reexamination showed a significant reduction of the mass
