The development of artificial intelligence-enabled medical health care has created both opportunities and challenges for next-generation biosensor *** are extensively used as biological macromolecular markers in disease diagnosis and the analysis of therapeutic *** protein biosensors have achieved desirable specificity by using the specific antibody–antigen binding principle in ***,the active centers of protein biomarkers are surrounded by a peptide matrix,which hinders charge transfer and results in insufficient sensor ***,electrode-modified materials and transducer devices have been designed to increase the sensitivity and improve the practical application prospects of electrochemical protein *** this review,we summarize recent reports of electrochemical biosensors for protein biomarker *** highlight the latest research on electrochemical protein biosensors for the detection of cancer,viral infectious diseases,inflammation,and other *** corresponding sensitive materials,transducer structures,and detection principles associated with such biosensors are also addressed ***,we present an outlook on the use of electrochemical protein biosensors for disease marker detection for the next few years.

Background, Motivation and Objective As an important multiple-beam interference structure, micro Fabry-Perot cavity tunable filters are widely used in the area of hyper spectral imaging and DWDM optical communication system. The development of MEMS technology can be increased by integration of optically active parts. Fabry-Perot micro-cavity-based structures are of great interest because of their versatility. A wavelength-tunable optical filter based on a Fabry-Perot cavity combined with a micro-actuator has been designed, with an emphasis on achieving a wide tuning range. Many designs of MEMS F-P filters with electrostatic actuation have been reported. However, there are some issues. First, present MEMS F-P filters are single element or small array, which is unsuitable for hyperspectral imaging. A new generation of imaging requires more spectral channels at the same time. Second, the F-P structure modeling has only been based on a simplified physical model. Multi-physics field simulation has hardly been considered in filter device modeling. Third, the tuning range of the model is not large enough and bias voltage is high. This paper describes the mechanical design of the bridge structure, small curvature in the top mirror of the Fabry-Perot cavity is accounted for. A simulation of the mechanical behavior was performed based on finite elements, using ANSYS software. We finally establish the L-arm type cantilever to support cavity structure, the micro-bridge can achieve a considerable range of tuning;relatively high fill factor, filter light leakage is avoided;the high ability to keep parallel can achieve high precision filtering effect;structural stability, it can resist the residual stress of manufacture. This MEMS F-P tunable filter can be a potential application in spectroscopic sensing and optical communication system. Different responses of two adjacent artificial beaches to Typhoon Hato in Zhuhai,China

Major differences in beach erosion between two neighboring artificial beaches Xiangluwan Beach(XL beach)and Meiliwan Beach(ML beach)in Zhuhai,China,were studied after Super Typhoon *** this study,a fully nonlinear Boussinesq wave model(FUNWAVE)-Total Variation Diminishing(TVD)was used to distinguish the main impact factors,their relative contributions,and the hydrodynamic mechanisms underlying the different beach *** show that compared to the ML beach,the main reason for the relatively weak erosion on Xiangluwan(XL)beach was the smaller beach berm height(accounting for approximately 75.9%of the erosion response).Regarding the beach with a higher berm,the stronger wave-induced undertow flow,along with the higher sediment concentration,led to a higher offshore sediment transport flux,resulting in more severe erosion relative to the beach with a smaller berm *** second most important reason explaining the weak erosion on XL beach was the absence of seawalls(accounting for approximately 17.9%of the erosion response).Wave reflection induced by the seawall could cause higher suspended sediment concentration,resulting in a toe scouring near the *** offshore submerged breakwater protected XL beach slightly(accounting for approximately 6.1%of the erosion response).Due to the higher water level induced by storm surge,most of the wave energy could penetrate through the submerged *** effect of the larger berm width of XL beach was *** to the beach with a larger berm width,the erosion/deposition regions in the beach with a narrower berm width showed shoreward migration,without significant changes in the erosion/deposition *** of this,the larger berm width could reduce the wave energy reaching the *** study of the storm stability of artificial beaches may be applied to beach restoration design.

Thickening progression mechanism of silica fume-oil well cement composite system at high temperatures

This work studied the thickening progression mechanism of the silica fume-oil well cement composite system at high temperatures(110-180.C) in order to provide a theoretical guidance for the rational application of silica fume in the cementing engineering. Results showed that silica fume seldom affected the thickening progression of oil well cement slurry at 110-120.C, but when temperature reached above130.C, it would aggravate the bulging degree of thickening curves and significantly extend the thickening time, meanwhile causing the abnormal “temperature-based thickening time reversal” and“dosage-based thickening time reversal” phenomena in the range of 130-160.C and 170-180.C respectively. At 130-160.C, the thickening time of oil well cement slurry was mainly associated with the generation rate of calcium hydroxide(CH) crystal. The introduced silica fume would be attracted to the cement minerals' surface that were hydrating to produce CH and agglomerate together to form an“adsorptive barrier” to hinder further hydration of the inner cement minerals. This “adsorptive barrier”effect strengthened with the rising temperature which extended the thickening time and caused the occurrence of the “temperature-based thickening time reversal” phenomenon. At 170-180.C, the pozzolanic activity of silica fume significantly enhanced and considerable amount of C-S-H was generated, thus the “temperature-based thickening time reversal” vanished and the “dosage-based thickening time reversal” was presented.

Objective Recombinase-aided polymerase chain reaction(RAP)is a sensitive,single-tube,two-stage nucleic acid amplification *** study aimed to develop an assay that can be used for the early diagnosis of three types of bacteremia caused by Staphylococcus aureus(SA),Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PA),and Acinetobacter baumannii(AB)in the bloodstream based on recombinant human mannanbinding lectin protein(M1 protein)-conjugated magnetic bead(M1 bead)enrichment of pathogens combined with *** Recombinant plasmids were used to evaluate the assay *** blood influenza bacteria were used for the specific *** and clinical plasma samples were enriched with M1 beads and then subjected to multiple recombinase-aided PCR(M-RAP)and quantitative PCR(qPCR)*** analysis was used to evaluate the consistency between the two *** The M-RAP method had sensitivity rates of 1,10,and 1 copies/μL for the detection of SA,PA,and AB plasmids,respectively,without cross-reaction to other bacterial *** M-RAP assay obtained results for<10 CFU/mL pathogens in the blood within 4 h,with higher sensitivity than qPCR.M-RAP and qPCR for SA,PA,and AB yielded Kappa values of 0.839,0.815,and 0.856,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion An M-RAP assay for SA,PA,and AB in blood samples utilizing M1 bead enrichment has been developed and can be potentially used for the early detection of bacteremia.
